Ocelot,
You posted:-
'Penguins,
That sounds as if you were negative about UKOG as it climbed from 0.80p to 11p.'
Yes I was and it would be quite a put down if it wasn't for the fact that after the rise to 11p (for moments) it dropped eventually to just over 0.1p and is still below 0.8p.
Perhaps you should have read this in an my earlier post:-
'....in terms of the SP as many factors affect it, seemingly least of all the chances of the sort of success SS has craved, and still craves '
so did what UKOG said about Broadford Bridge justify a SP of 11p and a valuation of £300mm if you had knowledge about the issues with producing from carbonate reservoirs - something UKOG seemingly forgot to mention?
Perhaps because UKOG never indicate what the problems might be there were still buyers at 11p, 10p, 9p - I think you get the picture.
Of course it wasn't just what UKOG said, SCDM also held what they'd been given for Celtique's licences and added millions - and then as the SP declined sold - SCDM have in-house expertise, maybe even if my opinion was ignored that should have been a red flag.
I've never said Basur would be a failure - just that the evidence is it could be, and success may not be what many expect. Cheap wells and easier regulation may be benefits that UKOG like repeating, but very little apart from vague arm waving, reserves of fields with different reservoirs, but no detail to back up 100s of millions.
BTW the green blob in that map is E Sadak. I'm surprised that you haven't trawled through the Aladdin web site before, unfortunately it doesn't seem to be updated much
Lol - keep going in memory of your Latin teacher
Caesar adsum iam forte...
seadoc: I had the chance to do Greek but had too much on. Got a good Latin A level though. It had the unfortunate residual effect of making me write English in long complicated sentences.
seadoc: what’s that about Milas and Millate? I take it from your moniker that you became a doctor?
hits: I think it stands in the place of a noun - a demonstration, a proof. That would make it a gerund. If it were a gerundive, it would stand in the place of an adjective and there’s no noun around to which an adjective might apply. I’m willing to discuss it further though! What’s periphrastic about it? Don’t tell me you did Greek?
Oofy, it's a gerundive. Apart from that, bang on.
seadoc: Thanks for this. In fact, est is the third person singular of the present indicative tense of the verb sum, esse - to be. Erat is the third person singular of the imperfect indicative of the same verb. While erat is more commonly used in this phrase, est is equally correct. Neither is subjunctive. Demonstrandum is a gerund. Your phrase means, literally, “which was for demonstrating”. Mine means “which is for demonstrating”. Basically a proof statement, which this person was kind enough to supply.
Correct translation but incorrect parsing. No subjunctive there - it's a passive periphrastic construction with the gerundive conveying a sense of obligation and actually utilises the verb "to be" in the indicative mood and the imperfect tense.
It is errors such as that up with which I shall not put.
Quod est demonstrandum. This person should stop abusing others and go back to abusing himself.
Gwlliams, in the near future that would appear so, but sandersons comments have been taken to the extreme by the naysayers..... As for the weald, we shall see......good luck with your investments
I invested because of the weald. From the last interview it seems very much a case of the weald is dead and Turkey is alive.
Glad the company have found another potential source of oil in a country not governed by UK red tape and political correctness. Whatever potential the weald may have it seems very very unlikely to be realised any time soon.
So it's all down to Turkey
Mirabelle, ( if we're doing name changes, thats yours) we used to do that at school many moons ago....says all about you really......and where are your detailed technical informative posts?.......I've never seen any....grow up.
Mirasol: there’s too many of these people on the company bb’s. “I don’t know anything about investment research but I think the share price is going up. You non-holders who’ve spent hours analysing its accounts, announcements etc. have no right to post your comments on it. These boards are for holders of the shares, no matter how incoherent they are. New investors should not be exposed to the views of people who know what they’re talking about. It’s not good for the rest of us.”
Ozzy/Adrain - all you do is **** other people off - never add a single decent point to the discussion
Penguin, you say you are invested in UKOG but continue to make increasingly negative convoluted comments on your alleged investment......that's not fooling anyone.....I am not an oil expert, so I don't make technical comments but I am optimistic on the future of the company.....as for commenting on the remarks from other posters you do it all the time in a very patronising manner
Let's goooooo..news soon and off we gooooo.
Dear cynderlad, I forgot to respectfully ask .....were you trying to add value when you made your truthful factual quote*****TURKEY IS DEAD*****.....because you failed....the share price dropped to it's all time low......no value there then
I would but I blocked him a long time ago
Cynderliar...am i a fool for pointing out that you are a proven liar .....how dead is Turkey?.....you have proven yourself to be the biggest fool on this chatboard.....and then you hide behind the filter button......let's start debate on the Turkey venture.....I'll start it.......is Turkey dead?.....are they constructing a road?......are they building a drilling platform......is the spud planned for late may......so is Turkey really dead......or was it a blatant lie......who is the fool?........can someone pass this message on to Cynderliar, because the cowards hiding from me.
... at least BDI and FOTH were prepared to put their (wrong) opinions about the company whilst having a go.

Penguins,
That sounds as if you were negative about UKOG as it climbed from 0.80p to 11p.
Penguins
More like shooting fish in the dead sea. I'm surprised AME did not hook UKOG on this tiddler "ARI/AME-SNR/K/M48-c1-1 (Gedikasar/Birini Oil Fields) for a period of 5 (five) years starting from 28th March 2018". It is after all just to the south of East Sadak.

Page 4 of "Turkey New Acreage PR Slides FINAL 091220" gives an indication of how bad the seismic information is in the local area. Shame they haven't told us where they intend to conduct the new survey.

Simple equation for me - will SP be higher than this when we spud - yes - just hold on
ynderlad
I know, but I'm having an early lunch break and I've been talked about like that since 10p,8p, 6p, 4p, 2p, 1p, 0.8p, 0.6p 0.4p 0.2p - where the SP has recovered, but the success required hasn't arrived - it may, it may not. Be polite, don't get riled by name calling (sticks nd stones) - it's all amateur stuff - at least BDI and FOTH were prepared to put their (wrong) opinions about the company whilst having a go.
TH2,
E Sadak is also on a great big hill and has had 11 wells drilled since the discovery we know the results of - and only 8 out of the total of 12 were producing in November 2020 - after well 12 (a failure, even 11 had to be sidetracked) they stopped drilling and shot some seismic - and presumably based on that they proposed to drill wells 13 at the end of 2020 and 14 in March 2021. As 13 was meant to be completed in January I'm surprised that UKOG hasn't mentioned the results of a recent well on a field described in the Final results as 'the closest producing look alike field to Basur-Resan'.
They may be a simple bumps on the surface but subsurface they can be extremely complex, and the seismic data is usually poor - which is why there's a tendency to drill first - if nothing else to be able to correlate the seismic events or horizons (if there are any) to actual strata.
So it's not shooting fish in a barrel - probably why the well which was originally hoped for in late 2020 has slipped to mid 2021 as not only are the targets not necessarily easy to locate - there seem to be issues with the actual drilling.
Penguins. It is much better to see green filter boxes than to read the dross that Ozzy posts. He does not add value to debate or to research, just noise. Use that filter button, don't waste grey matter processing time on the fool.
