The manager at Sandercon's "Xmas Bonus" account hasn't forgotten....

Amazing how quickly some forget Loxley was funded as far back as over 2 years ago.
" Raised £4.2 million at 0.2 pence per share to provide funding for the above and other key activities. To include preparations for work at the Loxley Portland gas appraisal well site, if planning approval is granted on 29 June, and follow-up of the Arreton, Isle of Wight planning application. "
I wonder what happened to the money earmarked for Loxley? Guess because it was refused they thought we would forget it.
A more political comment:
whether the new Conservative leader be Truss or Sunak, it looks as if the new administration will be harder for the environmental lobby to deal with than that of Johnson.
With a future ahead of it of about 2 years, it will be for UKOG and its eventual farminee(s) to press on with Loxley as expeditiously as possible during this time.
Not sure derampers, greenies, Nimbies, realists and normal investors can be classed under the same umbrella.
------------------
Agreed. That is why one seeks to distinguish environmental activists and Nimbies from "realists" and normal investors.
I wish you would make your minds up to what the posters are on here. Not sure derampers, greenies, Nimbies, realists and normal investors can be classed under the same umbrella. We all know who the long term losers are though. They are the ones that blame everyone else but themselves for poor investment choices.
Mullins
I assume the rampers here only want the price to go up so they can buy some more shares?
BTW accusing posters of being green etc when they're just honest about, in this case, UKOG is as pointless as ocelot posting about 'front month gas prices'.
However I do care about the environment but it was rather stupid of the government to stop the trial of fracking the Bowland just when it was about to yield results - though perhaps the companies involved had a good idea how successful it was likely to be? Until there's a clear path to a so called 'green' future gas and oil will be needed, however dependancy on imports will continue for some time yet - in fact the Portland gas storage project depends on it to some extent - 'Addition of a new planned LNG import facility in the port'.
ocelot
What do the engines burn? Not gas is it? Dual burn? Dieso?
... so think a number of the derampers are environmental activists.
Mullins,
Not sure I agree with you on that one. Think a lot of the derampers have no exposure to this stock or, indeed, to any stock, think that they are, above all, negatively-inclined UKOG commentators.
New low???
9 trades, volume of 3.3m, doesn't look as if we are going to be breaking any records today!
Oce , the derampers are here to make money, they do not care about the environment. Atb

How can it make environmental sense to ship gas to the UK from Australia?
Ocelot,
Probably most 'investors' in UKOG haven't chosen it because they are here for the long term - once upon a time maybe and those may be trapped with shares so worthless they're not worth selling.
You rejoice in the huge turnover of shares on P&D days - not the sign of most investors seeking a long term investment - which wouldn't have worked out well so far whatever day anyone bought in.
It would also help to understand the risks which over the past years have been (and continue to be) pointed out, rather than seemingly a strategy of believing every (often caveated) utterance in RNS, tweet or interview (or even irrelevant Bloomberg articles / next weeks / next months / next years gas price)- and repeat it here ad nauseum without any sign of critical analysis until finally the facts overtake the fantasy.
You filter any poster that dares to analyse and research the projects while casting far and wide for any seemingly positive word that has the word oil or gas in it or (positive) view about UKOG to repeat here.
'Loxley is a long-term project, long-term projects would never be undertaken if companies were not prepared to invest for the long-term.'
Clearly UKOG are 'not prepared to invest for the long-term' at Loxley - they are looking for a farmee to pay the bills / part thereof.
No knowledge whatsoever of "all the ROIs" you've made in UKOG in this year alone, but you've said yourself UKOG is not to be shorted, so I wish you good luck with that.
But just think about all the ROI's I have made in UKOG in this year alone. Think I'll stick to my investing methodology.
PS: if you are not interested in long-term projects, then you really shouldn't be following a stock in the energy E&P sector.
A betting stock might be more suitable - they take in wagers before they pay out.
Lots of lth on here will be tied up for year’s because they can’t get out without taking a massive loss, they are hoping for a bit of a spike so they can get out with a reduced loss but Ukog as everyone can see are not going to let them get out.
All these massive paragraphs of useless constant so called information is …….
Loxley is a long-term project, long-term projects would never be undertaken if companies were not prepared to invest for the long-term.
But without long-term projects, modern society as we know it would not exist.
I was being kind with 8 years. After all what looney is going to tie up his money for 8 years +? Let me think! Must be plenty on here are getting close to that.
You only need to look how long it has taken to reach the stage of no gas to work out what UKOG have got to look forward to imo.
-----------------------
The factor of time affects the project's net present value, not its long-term value.
As I pointed out in my post of 19:47 f yesterday:
The present value of 1 discounted at 10% pa over Ibug's 8 years to 2030 is 0.4665.
Final Part as not sure I will make it through the day with the guff being posted on here. You only need to look how long it has taken to reach the stage of no gas to work out what UKOG have got to look forward to imo. And they had the easy bit done already.
They pretended to take the cloth off the loom. They made cuts in the air with huge scissors. And at last they said, "Now the Emperor's new clothes are ready for him."
Then the Emperor himself came with his noblest noblemen, and the swindlers each raised an arm as if they were holding something. They said, "These are the trousers, here's the coat, and this is the mantle," naming each garment. "All of them are as light as a spider web. One would almost think he had nothing on, but that's what makes them so fine."
"Exactly," all the noblemen agreed, though they could see nothing, for there was nothing to see.
"If Your Imperial Majesty will condescend to take your clothes off," said the swindlers, "we will help you on with your new ones here in front of the long mirror."
The Emperor undressed, and the swindlers pretended to put his new clothes on him, one garment after another. They took him around the waist and seemed to be fastening something - that was his train-as the Emperor turned round and round before the looking glass.
"How well Your Majesty's new clothes look. Aren't they becoming!" He heard on all sides, "That pattern, so perfect! Those colors, so suitable! It is a magnificent outfit."
Then the minister of public processions announced: "Your Majesty's canopy is waiting outside."
"Well, I'm supposed to be ready," the Emperor said, and turned again for one last look in the mirror. "It is a remarkable fit, isn't it?" He seemed to regard his costume with the greatest interest.
The noblemen who were to carry his train stooped low and reached for the floor as if they were picking up his mantle. Then they pretended to lift and hold it high. They didn't dare admit they had nothing to hold.
So off went the Emperor in procession under his splendid canopy. Everyone in the streets and the windows said, "Oh, how fine are the Emperor's new clothes! Don't they fit him to perfection? And see his long train!" Nobody would confess that he couldn't see anything, for that would prove him either unfit for his position, or a fool. No costume the Emperor had worn before was ever such a complete success.
"But he hasn't got anything on," a little child said.
"Did you ever hear such innocent prattle?" said its father. And one person whispered to another what the child had said, "He hasn't anything on. A child says he hasn't anything on."
"But he hasn't got anything on!" the whole town cried out at last.
The Emperor shivered, for he suspected they were right. But he thought, "This procession has got to go on." So he walked more proudly than ever, as his noblemen held high the train that wasn't there at all.
... It’s been an unusual and difficult summer for Europe. Prices and demand typically ease during the warmer months, helping the continent pump gas into storage and prepare for the winter. But Moscow’s supply reduction through all major pipeline routes and searing heat waves have kept gas prices about 11 times higher than they usually are this time of the year ...
The high prices have already forced about half of Europe’s zinc and aluminum smelting capacity to shut down over the past year, and more is set to go offline. Germany, among the worst affected, is risking an industry exodus as manufacturers of car parts, chemicals and steel struggle to absorb energy prices. The government has urged consumers to lower demand, and on Thursday cut sales tax on gas to temporarily ease the burden ...
A prolonged and severe drought in Spain and Portugal is pushing baseload hydroelectric output to historical lows, prompting increased calls for gas-fired power, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.
