Have to go back to work before i get called names.
So the turtle theory, only positive news should be realised, any hiccups or negative news should be buried in the hope no one asks or notices?
Thanks for your reply Lin--and agree, sometimes things do not run smoothly????!!! But that does not mean we do not all want the same end result--just some have a different view point or patience levels!! Hope we can continue to converse???
Turtle--Just got in and read your post--fairly new here? and a new perspective on thngs--see your point on a negative RNS--but certainly not asking for one to get in cheap. I have my investment and will not be adding unless I get additional funds from somewhere. Have to say --well thought out process of what is happening. I think it is natural for some--including myself--to lack a bit of patience--but whatever our view point we all want to score the same goal? --at least most of us do--the odd, and very odd, spoiler to the party.
The ask is 1.05...I and most other investors are under water. So lets all keep our gobs shut and take the hit...yeah right.
Could not have put it better turtle, thanks
DHC, Brocal et al.
Can you really not understand that your ARE asking for a negative RNS! You believe that PIs have a 'right' to be kept informed. (Maybe they do, maybe they don't) - BUT - you are asking for 'explanations' about the delay to the 'finalising' and THAT would be a negative RNS.
The BoD have a DUTY to protect shareholders and by NOT dishing every detail of 'delays' about in an RNS they are doing just that.
If we don't commence the actually drill in Q2, then that will be for good reason.
We can only surmise - it's best that it stays that way, unless NOMAD instruct that information HAS TO BE shared via RNS.
suppositions:
We wer finalsing the rig contract in April, but the owners already had a deal in place with the current user of the rig we wanted. The date they were due to complete their use of said rig was, let's say, the end of May. Our contract discussion would be saying 'we want that rig early in June'. The owners try to get an assurance from the current user that they will have it returned by the end of May and get a holding statement saying 'we hope to have finished with it, but may need it for a few more weeks, please'....
ergo - we can't get a firm date on our contract.
The current user of the rig, then say they need it to mid-June. We continue to 'finalise' the agreement with the owners, based on a mid-June 'potential' availability.
Seem plausible?
What good would would it do to announce that? None at all, except to placate the inpatient amongst the PIs.
The next complication comes along with the delayed SCC Planning meeting(s). We would. naturally, want any furore over rig arrival on site to be separated from the Planning Hearing, as much as possible. Timing the rig to arrive just AFTER the planning hearing would be the most sensible thing.
There are a whole list of factors in play here and bashing the BoD for not telling every detail is rash, naive and potentially damaging to the prospects of UKOG.
So, I would urge patience with the process. Back off the demands for information. Let them pursue the multiple elements they need to pursue to get things aligned for the good of the company and it's shareholders.
Don't forget, an exact date for the arrival of the rig can be read by protesters as well as by investors.
Train is leaving the station:)
Precisely Ohmetoe!
Every company has delays and hiccups brocal. I believe in SS and in the company he is building. As you know we have been in our self employed business for years and understand how and why delays happen. I’m totally chilled and by autumn I hope you will be too. All the best!
Its delayed because the planning was delayed , why would UKOG have a rig on site to drill two wells then have it sat idle waiting paying out money.
Thats how i see it
Blade---Please do not get personal and drag yourself down to the levels of some bad posters on here! I have a life--a good active life and spend only a small proportion of time on here NOT all day!! Have a nice day YOU!!
Lyn---Knowing you as I do I would have thought you WOULD have understood!! Agree a company is being built and Rome was not built in a day. Some -as I do--feel as part owners in the company as shareholders we deserve a little more respect from those that run UKOG by way of expalanations as to the delays from what we were told some time ago. AGREE things will come good or I would not still be in here with 100% of my investment still --not sold 1 share--if I thought otherwise. I remember last year you told me that you thought UKOG would BLOW very soon, remember--so you had similar thoughts to me. As I havesaid a short time ago--I hope by the autumn these thoughts and comments will be a distant memory. GLA! Hope you are well
Well if you do not understand my post???? BLADE--certainly NOT want a negative RNS, have not been here all these years to invest for profit to want a negative RNS--what a ridiculous statement to make!!!None of you seem to understand that for weeks--no months we have been told FINALISING and in my last post if you read it correctly!!!!! I have said that the rig will come. It is not only my opinion that we have been strung along somewhat--agreed things will come good I hope thats IS why I am here. NO agendas NO ramping NO de ramping just a pure invester wanting to make money if anyone else think otherwise of me*TOUGH Its your opinion--fair enough--but what I say is MY opinion so do not think I have come on here to try and mess things up--few of us know one another so do not have an imaginary person scenario--its not me!!
Lots of hidden agendas on here lately,Rigs arriving soon , planning arriving soon exciting times arriving soon.
I don’t understand his post either blade. All is coming together here, amazing company being built.
The rig will arrive when it’s good and ready. Don’t understand what all the fuss is about.
Oakleaf--Good Morning--Agendas with some may be true--but I would imagine that the most gripes about the rig are the lack of information as to the delay, and yes there has been a delay. Back on April 11th---if you refer back--we were told in an RNS that the rig paperwork was being finalised. now I do not know about you but even the most reasonable person would have expected after well in excess of two months later we have no rig. Yes again I think it is reasonable to suppose that the rig is coming but giving exact timelines as to when the next drill is to start--in 2nd quarter--and still we drag on. I do not think the reason many are having a moan is because they are NOT investors, it is BECAUSE they are investors that we want action--and granted that will happen--but continued delays without answers or response from PI´s questions both on here and privately on UKOG web site continue to frustrate. A small proportion on here may be here to cause trouble but the majority have UKOG at heart and are here to make a profit. GLA
The rig is coming, all permits are in place and it is fully funded to drill 2 horizontals. It's a matter of when, not if. I'm really not sure what all the fuss is about. Agendas a plenty.
JUST WAIT Sandown 17:35. SOME DAY SOON Hexham14:45...The odds are not good but appropriate names...
West Newton the horse won at 20-1 last week so the rig has to go to Horse Hill next. It's in the stars great to have a blue day at last GLA Nightingale x
Nice to see some blue here for a change.
Perhaps there's some truth to the speculation of the rig going to Horse Hill following operations at West Newton?
If so, it'll be good to finally get things going, and moving towards higher production rates!
