Snaith,
the most recent RNS comment about the water injection is in UKOG's interims which makes no mention of it increasing production - unusually modest for a company where previous expectations of production, claimed to be conservative by certain posters, have turned out to be spectacular exaggerations.
'As reported previously, the significant cost reductions achieved at Horse Hill over the year and the forecast reduction in water handling costs via the conversion of HH-2z into a water injector means that, going forwards, Horse Hill production is forecast to be profitable'
Which also suggests it wasn't profitable in June.
As for the current activities at the site this from the GM notice:- 'In addition, within its UK portfolio, the Company also plans to fund regulatory works at Horse Hill....'
and from the interims:- 'We are carrying out modifications at the site to comply with The Control of Major Accident Hazards regulations (lower tier), as well as other regulations. Liaison continues with the Health and Safety Executive and the Environment Agency ("EA") to ensure the Horse Hill site satisfies these regulations.'
Is probably what's going on at the site, not specific works for the conversion of HH-2z.
Strange you think that UKOG has permission from the EA to proceed with the water injection and kept quiet about it when it's only the bad news UKOG has difficulty in announcing immediately - for example not being awarded the applied for blocks in Turkey - silence.
We shall see, eventually, what the injecton can and can't do - in the meantime any prediction for which month water injection will start - permission is one thing, doing the work is another.
HH1AN2,
'fresh positive views' - though the same as last time FOTH 'visited' the board. I hope any one reading it bears that post in mind next time you post anything 'positive'.

How many hours are in your day? This is worse than infants school FFS. We'll be getting square pegs in round holes next. Think what you want but you can't argue with a clock.
It is not rocket science from UKOG. You just need to read it "The next phase of development on site will see surface facility modifications and the installation of a water reinjection well to facilitate full production in the future. However, in advance of this work, the Applicant needs to determine the character and nature of the crude oil and its flow. This will involve the production of a relatively small quantity of crude oil at surface. At the time of the HSC application submission in January 2020, the need for crude oil storage was anticipated to be a maximum of 285 tonnes. However, the Applicants planned activities are constantly under review to ensure future operations are efficient, environmentally sustainable and in full regulatory compliance with the current legislative framework. As a result of the most recent review of legislation and a re-assessment of the sites storage inventory, the Applicant is able to reduce the need for crude oil storage to a maximum of 49 tonnes. This, in turn, reduces the classification of the site from its previous status as a Top-tier COMAH Establishment to a Lower-tier COMAH Establishment reducing the regulatory burden on the Environmental Agency, Health & Safety Executive and Surrey County Council as the appropriate authorities responsible for monitoring and managing site operations.
In summary, a reduced requirement for crude oil storage at surface from a maximum of 285 tonnes to a maximum of 49 tonnes has been made possible through the adoption of more efficient site operations."
For Snaith2 "This will involve the production of a relatively small quantity of crude oil at surface. " How difficult is that to understand?
Off to the bar for the night. I get more sense out of the drunks there.
Mirasol
My mistake but the reason for reduction of the storage was the regulation requirements especially when that original amount of oil storage was not necessary.
If more storage capacity is needed it will probably be added gradually as needed.
"I personally make that 31 hours "
I make it 11 hours on Sat + 24 on Sunday + 8 on Monday = 43 hours
Ibug
I personally make that 31 hours which is less than 1.3 days or about 133 at today's rates or 266 barrels if rates were 200 BOPD.
It would obviously be different over the bank holidays but flow rates can be adjusted or where additional storage is required it may be added when necessary within cost & regulation requirements.
Snaith2
I take it you have a mickey mouse watch. A bit like all your other comments.
1300 on Saturday to 0800 on Monday is how long? Let me think!! 1.8 days
You will find it under hours of operation for the site.
But 1.8 days x 200 bbls = 360 bbl which just won't fit into a 330 bbl tank. Where are you going to put the extra 30 bbls?
"lets not forget oftern 2 x Tankers show up a day at Horsehill ."
cently? I don't think so
recently? I don't think so
But not Sundays of BH's. Try getting 560 bbls of oil into a 330 bbl tank over a BH.
Like it? We love it. Just goes to show you have no idea that 360 bbls of oil will not fit into a 330 bbl tank.
Snaith2
No. You said 200 bopd so even you should be able to work out that at that rate they won't be able to get that amount of oil into 1 tank over a weekend. It would even more impossible over a BH. You will end up in Australia soon. Blame UKOG. They were daft enough to cut legislative corners. If they thought the flow rate would improve that much why didn't they put in a new EA permit application? I haven't checked on the storage requirements for the differences in the legislations and I can guarantee you haven't. Must be over 200 tonnes though.
I've never understood why anyone would pay to deramp a share that has fallen steadily in value for years because of the awful decisions of the management.
It wasn't anyone on here who did the Turkish deal.................
No, Adrian is a one off - he's not paid - he does it out of love (and I'm serious).
He veers between total support and total hate but that's his way.
SS met him (see the pictures) and then clearly decided it was a dreadful mistake - then Adrain went into a very deep sulk
ocelot
Unfortunately trying to get 360 bbls of oil in a 330 bbl tank will not work. I see you did your homework the same as FOTH has done.
What is more amusingly noteworthy re the UKOG ramptastic cheerleading squad is their habit of very quickly having to change horses mid ramp race - solely because the ones they're given by Sando and the company to start off with collapse and die so rapidly.
Classic case in point - Basur-3. Less than three months ago, the multi ID rampers were squeaking the "transformational " Turkey fairytale with all their might and main. Text art rockets, endlessly copy n pasted links to Oceanmec and AME tweeted pix, "assurances" of imminent multi-bags etc etc...
...and then in traditional UKOG fashion, the truth comes out and the much flogged horse kicks the bucket.
So currently, all the cheerleaders are left with to spin is a resurrection of a very long in the tooth mount, the Horse Hill dribbler. Never mind that for years it has cost £2 for every £1 of oil squeezed out of this so-called jewel in the crown "asset"... this time it's gonna be different, honest!
Of course this entirely depends on permission being granted to reinject produced water AND said reinjected water increasing pressure, rather than doing nothing or worse still, just recontaminating.
What Sando and cronies desperately need is to come up with the basis for some fairytale that'll be considerably longer lasting... you know, one where it'd take a very long time to get shown up by reality to be yet another very expensive and commercially non-viable wild goose chase. Something like geothermal, for example. That could be spun for a good few years...
...
...hang on a second?
That is true, Snaith2, 200 bopd and no water disposal costs would be a very positive development.
I thought that the fool works for a can of larger and a smile from Lord SS [blessed be his name]?
That'll be why the SP is so high;
All that market confidence in Snaith's interpretations.
Ignore all the ignora-fluff, just watch the SP.
Snaith2
you never think do you.
According to you I get £13 a month as a deramper and just over £400 for the last 6 years. Even the fool isn't that stupid to work for that. Or is he?
They won't be able to store at 200 bopd with the tanks they have stated in the EA permit especially over Bank Holidays but then again I doubt if you would be able to work that out.
You keep dreaming sunshine. You'll be wishing you were getting 10p a post soon.
Snaith2
Facts dear boy, FACTS. It is like the fool not even thinking about the new storage regime at HH once the permit is issued. They won't have the capacity to store all that oil he is talking about.
He is quite right when he says this
Freeasabird
@davethedrill1
#UKOG #HORSEHILL There's only ONE Fool on the Hill!
They have to post something otherwise they don't get paid
II
I wouldn't worry too much. Since production began the amount produced has hardly been worth talking about. Why is it the rampers such as yourself post such rubbish without checking the facts.
