Penguins;
They've fallen nearly 10% since yesterday.
If it were to get back down to around 1.00 (don't know that it will), I would use yesterday's profits to buy back in for a larger holding.
This is how I built up my UKOG holding, three to four years ago.
;)
Let's everyone try and forget where this thread has ended up and revert to how it was before being de-railed.
Well-meaning, informative, civil, and polite.
Let's make some money.
:-D
Just need to look at your posts Hereshopin to see who rubbishes just about everyone by the looks of yours. As for Kanabo they have nothing to sell and no permission to sell it when they do. It’s a traders stock
All time low
Kettle, the simple answer is....they are rubbishing OUR investments, not theirs.....they are not invested
Penguin, seeing as you have plenty of time you could take a look at the posts i was responding to.....you seem to only notice my comments and never the nasty negative stuff from your "supporters" ....as for things which are "astonishing" .....your take on....*ozzy seems to think that my criticisms of ukog are unfounded, that my views are that of a swampy etc. ".....the next paragraph is pure penguinesque....you are telling us the only reason you are doing your "research is to save us from ourselves in making bad investing decisions.........nothing to do with wanting the company to fail.........now for the question that YOU never answer ....why are you doing this....why are you here....because you are not invested and never have been......my answersw...no nastiness ....no untruths I'm giving you respect for your intelligence....not for the your methods of reply
I would be looking for the Shifty Sod who pickpocketed me.
Kettle - you would tell your £20 to sod off if it was now only worth 80p (down -96%)

RE: Penguins
Today 12:11
Why do people rubbish their own investment ? It’s like taking a twenty pound note out of your pocket and telling it to sod off ! Well If I had previously put four hundred pounds in my pocket and put my hand in to find only twenty remaining, I would be very unhappy, and probably feel like letting of a bit of steam...
Don't know why you are addressing me, Penguins, my post of 10:55 was taken from ZYX098's post of 10:08.

ozzy,
the lack of self awareness in that post - 'you have made a fair comment and recieved a snide reply....that is the mark of the person you are dealing with....a complete attention seeking fantacist.....read the history'
is astonishing.
'Cynders....I dont know what pantomime your in this year
Who's this new guy...ray chortle.....not another "joker"
Pingu must be bi polar (penguins)
Ignore fizzocks ...a total barmpot
Mirasol....with all your deramping you deserve to lose the lot
Tollesbury,,, don't worry mate its lockdown..I'm just amusing myself with a moron'
Ocelot,
UKOG in generating all those tax losses, goodwill 'assets, exploration and evaluation expenditure 'assets' have generated about £1.5mm of oil and gas properties (audited oil and gas reserves) and spent over £70mm.
Bad luck, or bad judgement?
Production planning before testing and knowing not just the prize, but if there is one, at both BB and HH.
They've not even bothered to get a CPR to move HH contingent resources into reserves - is it because CPRs have to be released? Ozzy seems to think that my criticisms of UKOG are unfounded, that my views are those of a swampy etc.
They're not - it's just too much belief in UKOG's claims and holding onto shares as they decimated in value has lost some investors a lot of money. Being aware of issues is not wanting the company to fail - but being aware it could and weigh up the risk, regardless of the OP.
Criticised for years for posting my opinion - I would stand by most of them, probably the ones where I accept UKOG estimates - perhaps not.
Mirasol, welcome to the swizzy abbot show......the problem is, when you give some people respect they look at it as a weakness....you have made a fair comment and recieved a snide reply....that is the mark of the person you are dealing with....a complete attention seeking fantacist.....read the history
It was regarding a part of a conversation with Penguins, Mirasol.
Hence the title, addressing Penguins.
That took place as part of a UKOG thread.
I updated here to separate from UKOG threads (and to save looking for it).
Others have contributed politely and sensibly, so I have responded.
I realise you are on the spectrum from your general posts.
As you don't have the capacity for awareness, we don't need your thoughts on ALL.... meh, you are excused.
Thanks.....
:)
Skwizz - we really don't need your thoughts on ALL your investments thanks............
Yep, I don't see £3.00 this year.
But I'm far from expert in this.
Just someone who's been lucky.
I think somewhere north of £2.00 could be achievable.
I also think it will recover to £3.00 again later on, possibly even next year.
Aircraft orders were cancelled which hit RR last year and, as tourism recovers, so will RR.
I'm more of a long-haul traveller myself and am as keen as others to have a break after the last couple of years.
Especially the last one.
So I see that as a strong market too.
Agree with you on Business travel.
There will be plenty of CFO's trying to balance the books for a while yet.
:)
Skwizz - I can see RR reaching £2 by the end of the year, but £3 is a long way off.
A huge hole in their product line is they don't have a power unit for the smaller jet ( B737, A 320 range) and it's the short haul that's going to bounce back much quicker.
Long haul will take much longer as problems with Covid internationally will continue long after we in the UK / West have been vaccinated.
Business travel will still be depressed in the near/mid-future as Companies continue to use Teams / Zoom etc and are unwilling to fly people to areas where the vaccination program may not be up to speed, or there is a risk they will have to isolate when returning back.
The long distance holiday traffic will be depressed for at least another year (possibly 2) while the typical holiday destinations catch up with their vaccination / isolation programs.
And long haul is where the RR Aero division really makes their money - selling engines at (or even slightly below) cost and making their money on the long term service contracts. They'd just started to get an engine lease program off the ground when Covid hit and I'm not convinced that that model will be a money spinner for several years yet.
And then the idiot admits it.....tinfoil hat time
Brillopad...you couldn't be further from the truth....its just a responce from the manic fantacist to my post last evening................... Funny how the hierarchy of the X treme R radical brigade now all say they're holding BP ...how ironic then all the numpty followers like you come on like giddy children ...when I indulge in fantasy i read books from "good" authors. .....Hans Christian Andersen is not on my readlist....though HEwas a very good storyteller unlike skwizzy Abbott
Lol.
Doesn't matter, I don't see nonsensical time-wasting posts here any more ('cept mine, heheheh).
I just happened to be chatting about RR to someone recently and Penguins mentioned (yesterday?) that he'd gone for some too.
Thought I'd provide an update.
Not here to compete with any individuals, only the markets.
If I've helped someone else (anyone) turn a profit, that makes my day.
:D
Skwiss
Ozzy52 spitting nails
That was my 'cash' (trading) account.
I'm still holding some in my ISA.
:)
Just sold RR for >25% on last week's buy.
I suspect they may keep going up and eventually recover to 3.00.
But that will take time and I don't like holding when something shoots up this much, so quickly.
If it falls back I'd buy again.
Otherwise happy to invest elsewhere or hold cash.
GL
:)
