That why I am praying for some gas at loxely to brighten up the picture.
It is for USERS to reduce their carbon , not producers.
We were on an emissions reduction slope for decades before XR came along but it takes time to transition. It has taken 2 decades to reduce from coal to gas powered electric. At the time wind wave and solar was not even a viable option.
CO2 is a national policy matter with regards to the O&G industry, that's a fact.
London getting a ULEZ was granted because it did not break any national policies in relation to CO2.
There will always be positive use cases, and there will always be negative use cases, but overall, the policy is there to drive the CO2 levels down to an acceptable level. You'll never reach a true zero emissions society.
The kind of thinking that CO2 linked to Oil consumption is a county council matter is just the kind of mindset that start the cash registers ringing in the legal eagles ears.
There is no legal grounds for rejection at SCC level, and the national framework does not provide a means for a legal challenge given who they've brought the case against. Seriously, its a laughing stock of legal cases, the basic concept is so flawed; they might as well bring a case against Tesco for plastic in the ocean.
If "CO2 is a national policy" then how did London get an Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)?
Sting, I think it is a common thing, to see those against a company turn up in anticipation of bad news. I'm sure that there are some people posting here who have an emotional attachment to Sarah Finch, and are building a little bit of fever pitch in anticipation of the impending legal challenge.
As far as legal challenges go; it is one of the worst I've ever encountered. Trying to build a case against SCC because their planning process did not consider the CO2 that would be created by oil produced from HH.
CO2 is a national policy matter, it is not a local council policy matter. If they want to take a legal challenge to court, then their challenge should be at a high level, not at SCC level. I'm sure shareholders will not be too bothered by the case, except that when it is rejected it may create a spike in the SP.
I'm sure that the legal eagles working the case for Ms Finch will be happy to take the coin for as long as possible. But again, ssshhh, don't tell Ms Finch or the crowdfunding crew because every penny spent there does put some money back into the UK economy.
I look from the outside with an interest in the outcome of the case. "Pig in a poke" quotes not necessary.
I always have my interest piqued when I see a plethora of once a month posters suddenly appear and chuck in their tenpeneth on the company and disappear again .
Something a foot I think
lets see
Patience is definitely the game here as we can all see.
Yep one big dog of a share
Cheers SS, hope you enjoy Turkey, and if not try Syria, they probebly haven't heard you bullsh*t there
"Of significant interest to the UK government my ass"
I see from a Citywire article on today's market that BP's break-even Brent price is $42, one metric on which UKOG emerges very well (all it needs is more of the stuff!).
totally agree ...thank goodness someone told me about GGP two years ago at the same time as I had a flutter here...the only reason I kept 750,000 shares on my SIPP is as a token to remind me how not to do investing and everything that is bad about AIM Directors/CEO'S. Helps keep me grounded lol! GLA long term holders you really deserve better and I hope you get the recovery your patience deserves. MFU
Sparticus
When you said down was it £120,000 down .
Tidy sum I am £140,00 k down could still walk away with 48k but after a few more placings unfortunately they will be funded for a few decent prospects which keep me interested at these rates.
I still think there's good stuff in HH and Gas at Dunsfold/loxely would take care of a few moaners.
Good luck waiting
Biggest POS on Aim.
Best time to buy, therefore, perhaps.
