RNS , thats what I said
The last TR1 seems to be from Chris Williams , (aka Chrisoil), not an institution but perhaps should have been institutionalised.
No half decent insti will touch these shares :
Too small
Not enough volume to trade
Too volatile because of a predominant uninformed retail investor base.
Too little information to asses value
They’re a promoters stock, for people who trade on news flow and rumour…
RNS, I was typing up my post while you posted on the same theme. I think you've summarised it very well.
I'm not sure there's ever been any news of any institutional investment. I'd be interested to hear if there was.
This should be obvious but shares held in nominee accounts by institutions acting as agents for individuals do not count as institional investors, because they are not investing, their clients are. They are merely facilitating parties in a transaction.
The reason that genuine institutional investment is so notable, is that it is made after analysts have done detailed due diligence - so providing a measure of professional confidence in a company. They often have access to info, or people, that the retail investor does not. They undertake an assessment of a company in keeping with the large amounts of money that they invest. This is totally separate to nominee share holdings, purchased mostly by amateurs, who may do little to no serious research.
RNS , you are wasting your time , he posts again I am ringing 101 , concern for welfare
MF
Clearly you don’t understand but can’t admit it.
An institutional investor is a fund run by a fund manager employed by an investment institution such asFidelity or L&G. The fund manager selects the portfolio in line with the funds investment policy and its theme..eg UK Equity Growth. Owners of shares in the fund own shares in the fund, the fund manager is the one who makes the decision to buy or sell a particular stock. In line with the mandate and limits of the fund. Someone holding units in the fund cannot tell the fund manager to buy or sell particular share, you’re either in the fund portfolio or out
Nominee accounts are the collective investments of their clients, the clients are the beneficial owners of the shares (not the nominee) and the clients decide when to buy or sell the shares held by the nominee.
The nominee has no control over the buying or selling of those shares….
Just accept you’re wrong and move on…
MF2017 stop ramping and posting crap links , try reading legitimate ones , UJOs are a good start
post facts links
Mickybee.
It's not me, its from the link i provided. Don't get prickly.
Define institutional investor.
casino, I think your cash calculation may be on the low side.
RNS 13.09 £4'672'500 @ 30.06
RNS 23.09 £3m (gross if the fee was paid in shares?)
RNS 27.10 $1m net revenue from Wressle
possibly another $500k since 27.10 from Wressle,
that's about £8.7m (not including costs incurred since 30.06 or £2.08m due to of Calmar)
Its not semantics , its more about people making up things , and believing in fairies at the bottom of the Christmas tree . Myself and several others have explained to you the facts . But as always keep coming back with unsubstantiated rubbish . Show me who these fictitious 65% institutional investors are ??
Institutes are not private investors , sorry have you lost the plot . As you keep saying they are involved?
Who are they??????
Not on UJOs official site , therefore holding will be less than 3% , so could be 1 share or several million
mickybee
Easy tiger. You'll pull a muscle.
You are playing with semantics.
you have kindly replied to me, but haven't responded to my request for you to define your understanding of institutional investor.
As I have replied. I am factually correct in my statements.
Actually agree with you for once , sadly MF isn't helping your cause
from here as a lot of people will take profits from this level. Two steps up, one step down until the SP gets back up to the 30p range. This isn't going to happen overnight, likely months, especially as the placing share buyers never got a chance to sell many. However, one cannot dispute for an AIM listed UK oiler, Union Jack far exceed the value attributed at present. With potentially £5m in the bank AFTER the Calmar payment, and a likely revenue steam of £5m coming in, the present market cap is pretty low. Slow recovery, but recovery there will be!
