Mirasol lol
Mr I - go carefully - if you suggest that the Councillors have been bribed they will come after you............... and LSE will hand over your details in a millisecond
Aren't you the Big Man...
Mr Investment.
We don't bribe them because its illegal and UJO have like all other listed companies has had to implement an anti bribery and corruption policy.
I'm certainly not from the woke brigade, but I do find you comments about "flats made out of deaf children" astonishingly insensitive and rather crass, perhaps on reflection you might want apologise for that!
blue friday coming today...
Misconduct in public office is the only remedy (other than the electorate!) but its only going to be used again an elected official if the behaviour is tantamount to borderline criminal. Has some parallels with the current Scottish cluster fk about officials ignoring legal advice to drop a legal case and settle... fined yes, but I didn't read of any misconduct allegations.
The offence is committed when:
a public officer acting as such;
wilfully neglects to perform his duty and/or wilfully misconducts himself;
to such a degree as to amount to an abuse of the public's trust in the office holder;
without reasonable excuse or justification.
"That's ok is it ? To go against the advice of professionals"
yes - otherwise everything would be run by "faceless bureacrats"
"quite frankly their opinions appear to be something like set in the 70s as per the age of some of them."
the answer is to volunteer to join your local Council Heid - I've never seen one yet that ever turned away a volunteer ...... they aren't paid of course
"That's ok is it ? To go against the advice of professionals."
Yes - that's why the amateurs are there - to take local opinion and conditions. If they couldn't say no you wouldn't need the councillors - only the paid staff - or as the Daily Mail would put it "faceless bureaucrats"
Mind you, then we are stuck with Greta Thunberg. An 18 year old with the mouth piece of her parents influencing the world.
Day off school anyone ?
That's ok is it ? To go against the advice of professionals. Are these committee members not meant to have had training on the implications of their decisions ? Absolute joke some of their meetings. Arguing and quite frankly their opinions appear to be something like set in the 70s as per the age of some of them.
Same at Loxley and Balcombe - the Councils are afraid of the voters, the voters are afraid about their house prices - even with legal costs it works at about £2 per taxpayer - not a lot (if they ever think about it - which they don't) to keep your house price up
Tax payer ?
"Does make me wonder what it will cost the council this time after yet again the committee voted against,"
Legal costs only
It's nothing to do with a green agenda, it will be looked at purely from a position of planning law.
They will lose - in my Heid opinion. Good.
This way above local planning officers now and will be settled at national level, and we know what they may do given the green agenda.
It's a bit like West Newton parish council and East Riding Council. They (the latter) always have the final say, unless it goes to eventually the Minister for the Environment.
These are important test cases that are coming...make no mistake about that.
Tell you what isn't rumour- UKOG appeal. And the best of luck to them. Does make me wonder what it will cost the council this time after yet again the committee voted against, in direct conflict with the advice of professional Planning & Highway Officers & their recommendations for approval ! Just look what Wressle cost North Lincolnshire Council. Madness. Madness .Madness.
> There is also a strong rumour circulating that Aramco have approached the UK government for financial assistance in building a £20b pound oil refinery in the Humber Estuary
Sounds made up.
Also, if they build it in the estuary it'll get very wet underfoot twice a day.
Ironically, the high oil price ISN'T driving the UJO price at all - unless you think it's an inverse relationship! Else, with recent OP rises we should be at 0.25p at least by now.
There is also a strong rumour circulating that Aramco have approached the UK government for financial assistance in building a £20b pound oil refinery in the Humber Estuary. Planning has already been assured via the distribution of brown envelopes to key personnel in various council departments.
The West Newton EWT results are already known and the Aramco plans are predicated on a 375.000 barrel output per day over a period of 30 years.
Heid.
We sold not compare OPEC with Wressle. Chalk and cheese and the production from Wressle (whatever it is! ) isn't going to benefit that much, if at all from any OPEC decision.
Sources have began telling reporters that the coalition may be close to agreeing NOT to increase their collective oil production in April.
Brent currently 67.56$/Barrel.
Very good news for Wressle.
