WR16aZ my favorate well at the moment I have 470K worth of golden tickets in that well.
I take your point over the horizonals and the slotted liners to go into them. The point I was labouring over the liquids section should flow without the need to pump. The JV should get a suitably sized Gas/oil Separator though, Blocks was at its upper limits testing WR16aZ as reported by PH during his recent interviews,
I'm not sure how much of the column is liquids, but yes, the gas could be a big help to the oil flow, since it's apparently a cap, rather than a separate zone.
I think permeability will really be the key here.
Also, I recall hearing DB in one of his interviews very quickly mention the possibility of horizontals, if needed.
So even if the upcoming flow tests on the oil are 'ok', but not necessarily great, that may still be good enough to help demonstrate a significant, commercially viable oil discovery, ...as horizontals would be able to make contact with a much greater surface area of the reservoir. (i.e. Well #16a - Block Energy, as a recent example).
I am very disappointed I thought you said I was
The Condescending pr**k on here
Now you have given the title someone else
Haha to put it politely i dont think sockoil will be on twitter telling anyone when hes selling. Unless hes buying
I do not believe Chris Oil has itchy feet yet Sting as you said in your post to me.
His tweets do not imply that at all, like all of us he is happily building his profits here.
Oh congratulations on your exam results by the way .. an ology .. I have my three miles swimming certificate.
Selfish for christ sake they would if they can
Any testing is knowledge that's the point
For f3ck sake you are more pedantic than me and that is saying something
You have to be having a go don't you
Any way you madd me go back over a few things and I found results wont be available until 6_8 weeks after wet starts
Expect CO to be ditching soon he wont leave funds in here for another 12 weeks
Let's see and please enjoy your wine really
You are right
Yes product of the good old 11 plus
Have a good weekend
Sting--So what you trying to say then?? An A in Geology--nothing like an ology must have gone to a good school?? Chill mate its the w/e you will be stressed out by Monday!!
Your the condescending prig on this board
Read what I said you are only mad for over thinking my criticism of pumping any find from one well and not possibly EWT a new well
Read all please and you will see you are arguing for nothing
I knew that the find was an unexpected column not equivalent to wn b
You agree there was a 1 in 4 chance of finding that same column from wnb at wan
We both agree that to prepare an EWT for a 1 in 4chance would be a waste but would have been a master stroke
You don’t seem to agree that after possibly finding the same oil in Wn a they would have needed to EWT it but think they wouldn’t and would simply take oilfrom WNb
This is where I fundamentally disagree as an EWT would be done to prove the oil across the field even if they found the 1 in 4 column
I have an A level in geology so sorry on mobilecant see geology types so say column
I have qualification in mind and quarry engineering and then at 21 was sweating my balls of 2 miles underground working in South Africa n gold mining
Do you know I’ll leave it that at despite my mundane rubbish comment I’ll leave your comments about me today and last Monday on the table but I have your mark
As I previously good share in 6 weeks
The key point is the the bottom 60M of liquid hydrocarbons pressurised?
Given there is a Gas field sitting on top of it I would suggest it is more likely pressurised than not, If so, no pumping reqired.
More cost reduction.
I still stand by it and those quotes don’t change the fact and are pointless
They need to EWT the well whether they access the oil from a well on the moon
It make sense if you find oil to improve your knowledge and underscore reserves ex
This will give access to funding , share price increase and pos sale
Don’t forget lot of new holders will only want to see basic info mostly from you guys not cut and paste RNS info or worse extrapolations of the facts
But good luck
It could be a nice thought that the volumes at testing are expected to be high
Don’t knock it
Infrastructure close by means nothing for testing
I said it all on Monday and people didn't like it
I wont dis a share especially one that's good to invest in let alone a bad one
Someone mentioned accessing the oil from another drill that's ridiculous as they need rigorous test information from this well to form up results future cpr etc
No one applies for planning they don't need but perhaps it would have been a strike of genius to do so at risk only of cost
Obviously any work over rig previously organised is held of for the oil for now.
August maybe for EWT as DB is a good man and sticks to what he says it will be Monday 26 bank holiday!!!
Cant see it dropping to much while waiting as I am sure more tit bits will fall out!!!!!!
At least until FL out.
Of course if CO gets itchy feet and fancies following your play book it will crash next week
let's see and good luck all
Just under 1500 Barrels of storage.
I X44 ton Tanker = 239 B per load
or 6.25 loads a day.
or $90K per day if oil ($60 per B)
or $67.5K if condensat ($45 per B)
The 1500 Barrels is maximum capacity for a single test during a "day" which is normaly a 12 hour period
Most test periods are flow for a fix time at a fix choke size and then shut in, empty the storage repeat as nessesary.
There's lots of noise about 'only having a 199 tons tank' for oil on Twitter, implying it's signals an expectation of not much oil.
With West Newton in the region of 20-30 miles from an oil refinery, it doesn't really matter how big it is. Smaller is cheaper....just increase the shuttle tanker frequency surely?
Heid, I know it isn't the Weald, ...but it's still the UK onshore, and therefore still could be a very difficult and challenging administrative and regulatory environment to be operating in.
One of the main things that makes West Newton such a compelling project is it's proximity to already existing, abundant infrastructure. That's really a great advantage, and a very big selling point.
Nevertheless, 'the proof is in the pudding', as they say, ...so I'm very anxious to get started on the flow tests.
This isn't the Weald.
-"THE EWT WILL COMMENCE WHILST OTHER REQUIREMENTS ARE BEING BROUGHT IN. ALL PLANNING FOR THE EWT IS IN PLACE."-
I hope you're right about that, Straight.
I've been through so many delays with my Weald Basin investments over the years, when I saw that planning application posted, the first thing I thought was, ..."Oh no, here we go again!"
Hopefully things will kick off soon, and with positive results.
JS490 has put exactly the same message on RBD BB
Cue Jessie J ... Who's Laughing now ...
WELL answered Straightalker ... Sometimes we need to shout answers at people so it's drilled into their wee brains lol
I wonder what Sting69 will think of that then.
Mrs Sherlock Holmes is smiling now.
Ummmm, well put Straightalker lol.
My understanding was they had about a 1 in 4 COS of an oil discovery in the Cadeby, so it's not like it was a zero chance. So why wasn't this contingency already built in ahead of time, ...just in case. IT WAS NOT NEEDED UNTIL THE CORE SAMPLES HAD BEEN ANALYSED. ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT AND ON-SITE REQUIREMENTS HAVE NOW LED TO ADDITIONS TO THE DRILL LOCATION.
Despite DB from UJO bending over backwards to praise Rathlin, it looks to me like they may have got caught a bit 'flat-footed' on this one. NO, THEY HAVENT, THEY WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT.
"Standard Consultation Expiry Date - August 15, Internal Target Date Sept 11, 2019".
This looks like it may delay things for months, after reaching TD, ...with essentially the entire summer going by without conducting the all-important flow tests. NO IT WON'T. THE EWT WILL COMMENCE WHILST OTHER REQUIREMENTS ARE BEING BROUGHT IN. ALL PLANNING FOR THE EWT IS IN PLACE.
Oh, and by the way, where's the further information on the cores, or well-log analysis?
And where's the updated volumetric estimates? STILL BEING WORKED ON AND NO RUSH TO GET THEM OUT IN VIEW OF MAJORS WATCHING.
Despite DB talking about Rathlin in interviews like they're BP or Exxon, ...before just recently, I'm not sure if I had ever heard of them before in my life. THEY ARE A RENOWNED, VERY SUCCESSFUL OPERATIONALLY, CANADIAN DRILLING COMPANY.
OK, rant over. I'm still very positive here. ARE YOU SURE LOL?
Just disappointed to see this potentially world class discovery sitting there, collecting dust.
just my opinion
That sounds about right to me Selfish from what I've listened to in DB interviews etc. I'm expecting to see some action in August with some good news flow.
