Skwizz
I'm a bit late to this party I know, re protesters tents I see you mention council tax officials amongst others. Also take into consideration the laws that govern camping.
A shortened extract.
Overview
Contact your local council for a licence if you live in England or Wales and want to use your land as a campsite (including trailer tents).
You must have planning permission for the campsite before you apply for a licence.
You don’t need a licence to run a campsite if:
forestry workers, builders, travelling showmen or seasonal workers (like fruit pickers) stay in tents on the site
the site is 5 or more acres and there are 3 or less tents there for 28 days or less a year
you’re a member of an organisation like the Scouts and have an exemption certificate
your site is approved by an organisation with a camping exemption certificate
members of an exempted organisation stay in their tents on the site
Restrictions
The council may put conditions on the licence including:
how the site should be laid out
how many tents or moveable structures are allowed
what toilet and washing facilities should be provided
Royoboy I didn’t, if you look at my posts I was picking up on someone saying it was there and I was figuring out what it would potentially be there for, as it won’t be for perf
Royoboy so if no one can get near the site how do you know there is no crane? Not being funny you’d see the crane from a mile or two away so unless they have a 4 mile closed radius there is nothing to say the picture is right or wrong
Just a thought...I work off shore and there is not many work scopes that do not involve a crane...
No flies on royoboy is there lol
It will be there to move things around the well but it could also unload the other Storage Tanks if they arrive.Just a thought.
Maybe it’s an early Christmas Tree being erected and all UJO holders are going to get some lovely presents from underneath :-)
Shack yeah saw that, just trying to gather info given perf was this weekend (supposedly) but I’ve never seen a change used to lift perf equipment given it’s normally by wireline or coiled
It would be interesting to see how long it was there for, or if it’s attended specifically (and how long it stays)
Last week there was nothing there really just a well head that stuck about a meter or two out of the ground and it was surrounded by a protective cage. Today there is a crane there and it has lifted up some sort of structure that is around 10-20 meters tall if that helps spike.
You don’t need a crane to perforate, neither under or overbalanced perf requires this. So what’s the crane there for, because imo it’s not used to perf
It was a nice country house but looks a mess now, has a couple of tents and a load of banners and junk in the garden now. Not the road at the top is closed you can’t really get within half a mile of the site so hard to see much. Only other way would be to walk through a field. I’ll try and look for any sort of flare stack next time I pass but with the road closed at the top I doubt I’ll grt close enough.
I wonder if the council tax officials, insurance company, and mortgage brokers for the house providing accommodating for the tree-huggers, have been made fully aware of its' new occupancy level.
The increase in occupancy might require the determination of its' value and risk to be re-evaluated.
No idea just saying what’s there. The crane has lifted something into place though.
Why would you have a crane for perf? You wouldn’t?
They are having a few problems with protestors as we have seen on the Twitter videos. To me it looks like they only have 2-5 protestors that are disrupting things. The house that is about 200 meters away from the site entrance road ( this is a single track road with the site about half a mile down) is protesting and seems to have opened its garden up to camping protestors, again I would say it’s only 1 or two tents and only a couple of people.
It looks like some sort of testing or drilling is now underway there is a crane there and some structure up above the well head.
