Noticed our recently appointed NED Dr Mike Armitage from SRK has also just recently taken a NED position at AIM listed Copper producer CAML £387m mcap on the 06th January. Interesting moves, we know from a recent Cullen interview https://youtu.be/fSxK-5CDe-U from 5mins 10 secs that the majors in Zambia like First Quantum a $21bn mcap are loosening there purse strings and investing in copper projects, he also alludes to some London listings & IPO's that they were aware of and connected to but preferred not to go into that at this stage. We know Jack’s Licence is underlain by Lower Roan Group rocks which are known to host the major copper mines (>2 million t contained copper) in the Central African Copperbelt and TYM about to commence drilling there shortly. We know likes of ARCM have had advancements from Anglo American.
Cullen has 20yrs experience in Zambia/Africa and talks about leveraging his contacts, Sanderson (EUA backers at 0.55) have just got behind him in a big way going from 3% to over 10%. Lets see, I fancy this to do well from £3m mcap, incredible upside if Cullen can pull something of here.
took a punt at placing price 0.17
Once this gets back to .47 my break even price then I will be more positive. I am not even going to attempt to average down as every time I shoot myself in the foot!!!!!
The only way this will go up in value is if I sell my holdings at a loss, then the SP will go through the roof as I would of unjinxed the share. Thanks :-)
Yes a nice way to end the week, good to be on the move prior to news flow commencing. You have to make your own calls tho (exit/entry based on ever changing fundamentals, weigh up the plus and minus's) but fwiw i think the risk v reward is heavily skewed in favour of the upside from down here given the paltry mcap i.e. we are buying it at £3m not £30m and based on the other sum of parts i've mentioned in previous posts. I don't expect everyone to agree with me and thats fine tym has yet to deliver, especially if you've had a negative experience and your nursing a heavy loss here, we all have them from time to time but I have little time for folks who 'haunt' bulletin boards because they've been unable to move on from there past experience, for me if something doesn't work out I move on and if i come back to it i look at it eyes wide open with a fresh pair of eyes. Over the yrs I've seen many a perennial under achieving stock turn the corner and deliver exceptional returns, fortunate to have been in a few, this can too on the right news. Time will tell, drills should be turning shortly. Over to Cullen & co to knock it out of the park. Atb
Hey Tradedesk, good day for TYM today by the looks of it. Glad I went with my gut and got in. It’s nice to see a couple positive people still around and I hope things continue to go well.
I see Dr Mike Armitage was appointed a Director from thr AGM today, he’s on the board of directors at SRK, that’s pretty exciting news to have someone like that on board I’d say.
I watched a video Mike made recently on Youtube and he said he is stepping down from SRK to focus on some small projects, which would indicate TYM and a venture of his own, very good news indeed.
With Cullen and Armitage and their assumed determination to make something of TYM’s assets I believe there could be hope here. I understand it’s exploration and it can be hit and miss but feel it’s safe to assume we might have some hope on our hands here. Looks like Mr Farooq & Sanderson made a good call loading up off the recent placing, they must be around 25% in the green already.
See a lot more TYM discussion on social media over the last couple days too, hopefully genuine excitement/intrigue and not chancers looking for a quick buck.
Again, I don’t know what it is about this company but I’ve always had a gut feeling that I should give it a go, I’m prepared to take the loss but am generally excited after seeing the action the last couple of days.
All the best!
Well Sanderson nailed EUA from 0.55 & XTR multibagging them both they've just increased from 3.26% to 10.45% so i'm very happy to follow them in here. They're backing the new man at the helm Cullen and the shift towards Zambia, TYMs acreage is surrounded by majors & producing mines so we're on excellent ground right in the Central African Copperbelt, this is the worlds best copper postcode . All very deliberate from Cullen, the man has spent 20yrs in Zambia/Africa the option agreement gives us excellent connections to the majors "As a director of African Mining Consultants, Mwashia’s principal is well connected in the Zambian mining industry and has enjoyed recent success as consultant to Ivanhoe Mines during their discovery of the giant Kamoa-Kakula copper deposit in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We are very much looking forward to working with Mwashia on these copper projects.”
We've got historic data from the majors First Quantum a $21bn concern. We know ARCM are operating in Zambia too and they've had advancements from Anglo American. I wouldn't be surprised if Cullen is T'ing something big up here and Sanderson are backing him to pull it off.
"EUA was once 0.40"
And it will be again.

I definitely remember Greatland Gold at 1/10th of a pence for a share back in 2015 or so. If you've got a couple of thousand quid you can afford to lose, then this is worth a punt, I suppose, looking at the projects they've got. However, keep your expectations in check. It's always nice to get a surprise on AIM, not that they happen all that often in the mining space.
They're all cheap until there not. EUA was once 0.40, GGP 0.08, UFO 0.07, POW 0.20, XTR 0.70 list is endless.
Anyway new MD with fresh impetus here. Lets see what he can deliver with the drill, risk reward is very much skewed to the upside from current price & mcap. Won't take much at all to move the dial, a significant hit/tie up or jv and its many 100's of %.
It’s cheap for a reason…….
(Well, many reasons actually)
You make some valid points but it's £3m mcap not £30m or £300m, its about as cheap as they come for an exploration play. Excellent risk reward when you consider that, metals are in a bull phase the company has to hit with the drill bit and the % upside is significant, Zambia looks exciting surrounded by copper majors and the US pyramid project has also made good silver intercepts - drilling program gets underway now its funded and all to play for from here.
They're throwing darts at the dart board it seems to me. Their long term fluorspar projects have been jettisoned and they're now trying their luck in jurisdictions that have been trenched, sampled, assayed and virtually drilled to death. Whatever might be left to discover, if anything, they're a long way off finding.
A punt if you're a gambler with patience otherwise avoid.

Thanks for the reply, I genuinely hope it turns around for you and will be keeping a close eye, best of luck!
From where I am sitting, this share is going nowhere. It is one of the worst in my portfolio.
With dilution now and having so many shares in issue, unless the find of the century is made the share price is going nowhere. Just my opinion but I am resigned to my loss.
Been looking into TYM for a while, I see a lot of negativity here.
Is there anything to be optimistic or positive about or has everyone just given up?
I see Sanderson substantially increased their holding with TYM recently, must be some sort of faith that something is still possible here?
If I'm being honest I just have a feeling about this share, maybe for a year now, I feel for you PI's who have been in for a long time and been let down, but, from my point of view this seems like a quite an opportunistic time for a new investor like me to join.
Would appreciate any unbiased opinions just sharing your thoughts on the company right now.
Also new MD Patrick Cullen, maybe will genuinely try to turn this around?
Thanks.
