Tom :-)
There are various ways of shutting a door.
Have a great weekend.
Think most small businesses probably did not know whether to laugh or cry when they read it.
What a joke, - if it wasn't such a waste, yet again of our hard earned monies.
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/structuring-your-business-if-theres-a-no-deal-brexit
Might provide comfort to a few i.e. keep up to date i.e. anything might happen.

Levis, Calisto,
I work for a small - mid-size business and we literally CAN'T prepare as it's still unknown what terms we're leaving on.
We're still waiting on finding out if it's no deal / some kind of deal / whole thing gets canned, and we can't prepare for all 3 at once.
They have had there years to get their house in order. There has been no shortage of advice issues by the Govt and most business advice consultants. Its pathetic that one month from the deadline a third of small businesses are still not prepared. Tis is just plain laziness on their part.
Hi Nige,
Feel sorry for anyone who took a sugar coated toxic pill 10 years ago and sipped any of the snake oil 3 years ago and are still wondering around in an hypnotic trance recanting the same old refrains. The old school ties and so-called elitists have just added more venom to that cure-all " elixir " Brexit lately in the hope it will blind people from the realities of an economy in near recession and the incompetencies of an out of touch Govt now tied down by their own scheming and lies .
BTW, 20 to 1 are great odds compared even to the %'s you quoted earlier, although no safety nets.
BoL
OMG
Scheming, hypocritically using EU Law to get his own way, lying all the time, can you believe it?
https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/exclusive-government-plan-to-invoke-eu-laws-supremacy-to-ensure-brexit-on-halloween/ar-AAHTLkU?li=BBoPWjQ&ocid=mailsignout
Well I don't - all part of the Plan - can't put up with all the lies!
Only read the first few lines cos I get too annoyed, so quoted full article.
Besides destroying his own party his language is so provocative, it is setting people against each other. What was the majority of leavers over 3 years ago? While younger generation want to remain. As I said I think he is becoming too toxic to remain as Cons PM, but who is pulling the strings?
Definitely need to rethink our Political system (based on EU?)
BoL
Hi Troubles
Those odds are most disappointing. I don't gamble (ha ha!) but could maybe get 20 to 1 for before Halloween.
Note: If no extension granted I think Govt has to revoke article 50, cos can't allow No Deal. Macron has already said non to an extension (but Merkle will probably talk him round) and Irish PM almost bound to - only takes one.
Hi Bamps
If we had EU laws, Scotland would have vetoed Brexit 3 years ago and we wouldn't be in this mess. Completely agree with you, but I blame politicians and the press for making things worse than they would have been.
BoL
This is the trouble with this Brexit nonsense this is becoming a civil war.
Everyone needs to take 10 breaths and get back to the middle ground, what the ..... is Brexit going to do for you apart from make you poorer, forget about it and respect your fellow man/woman
Hope that there is a GE and the Brexit parties get a majority so they can take us out of the EU as we voted for 3 years ago. Every month is another billion pounds down the drain. I've always voted labour but not this time.
Hi Nige,
Out of interest, haven't been able able to find any odds for Article 50 being revoked before end of 2019, never mind Halloween.
The odds for revocation before end of 2020 are No 4/11 Yes 2/1.

Hi Troubles
Just finished my No Brexit investment plan.
Fwiw Target (sell Prices):
bwy 5800, 80% increase; rdw 1050, 72%; psn 3500, 71%; tw 260, 62%; bdev 1000, 59%.
Based on Pre Brexit Per, and my idea of justifiable Per's (but not including a justifiable revaluation).
Hopefully these prices will be reached next Summer, depending on when decision made (later if Ref or GE).
BoL
Hi Ben
Think BoJo might be getting too toxic, but who knows? US got Trump.
Democracy just isn't working - has it ever?
BoL
Apologies forgot to post the link:

Probably be removed by some "sensitive " soul, like one of my posts yesterday.

Hi Nige,
Regards Halloween,
Seems that one political Party may already be collecting funds for their election campaign as highlighted in their favourite rag.
BoL
Hello nige I pretty much think that’s the game plan he had all along. Try to look like putting up a fight but all along having his own interests in mind! Smacks of yes prime minister Gla
Hi Nige,

Suppose anything's possible when certain individuals thirst for power is constrained in a straitjacket.
Our SP might even benefit today.
BoL
Ps
Vote has to be last possible time, so before Halloween.
Hi Troubles
Just read this:
https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/johnsons-plan-is-to-turn-his-supreme-court-humiliation-into-rocket-fuel-at-the-polls/ar-AAHQk7N?ocid=spartanntp
Make what you like of that (so quoted in full), only way left for him is a vote in Parlt to revoke Article 50, and Job Done. Don't think anyone will argue and will probably win cos Corbyn can't make up his mind (his Party and Unions pro EU), and everyone else in favour of it. He could even remain PM, without GE.
This is the best possible result (Imho. cos no delays) and means BoJo the saviour of the country!
BoL
Hi DGR
Could be right about 140's, but only way is if No Deal which I think is impossible now. I remain optimistic and am hoping for a (bouncy!) recovery from now until Spring / Summer 2020 to 250 +. Time frame depends on Politics.
BoL
Hi Troubles
Since No Deal banned and Deal impossible, I think BoJo could revoke article 50 himself before Halloween.
Interesting to note that a Spanish/Greek plan to bail out Cook, failed cos not supported by UK Govt (and that little thread has been deleted!)
BoL
That said i do expect to see a similar movement in the sp as there was over the winter last year and reckon we might be able to buy in at the low 140s early 2020
haha Tom,
I was actually surprised i was able to get sub 160 this close to divi day, but BoJo is the gift that keeps giving
