‘Not to long ago’ or 13 years ago whichever you prefer. How about another irrelevant example? Northern Rock purveyor of the 125% mortgages back in the day when a bank would take a railcard as collateral.
Dick Fuld was known as the Gorilla, which of course he loved in his misguided belief he was invincible , unfortunately he had a brain to match and his Mr tough guy approach prevented him from accepting an offer from the Korean’s months before the wall collapsed where the writing had once been written
The collapse of Lehman Brothers is as an enthralling (unless you lost your job and years of share bonuses)
a story as any penned by the likes of Grisham, if it were not so fatally true.
Definitely worth looking out the books written about the remarkable collapse of Lehman Brothers if only to discover that their venture into the travel industry never came to fruition . Pity really as might have been more successful than trying to package up sub prime mortgages into bonds that made junk look attractive.
Tui and the other airlines have been resilient this week with market sentiment failing to follow your catastrophic forecasts last weekend. I’d recommend you contact The Daily Express , I’m sure they could do with another contributor to dream up more alarming headlines , afterall doom sells.
Lehman’s? Are you serious?
What the hell has a bank got to do with the holiday sector?
There was no pent up demand for merchant banking services - utter tosh!
Hold and reap the rewards in the long term.

The Pfizer vaccine is likely to offer strong protection against any severe disease from the new Omicron COVID variant, according to the head of BioNTech who urged people not to 'freak out'.
As expected - storm in a teacup.
Expect global markets to react positively including leisure and travel.

Sinking ship!... I will buy sub £1 ....and EVEN THEN I will be very cautious as this could all go VERY t*ts up very easy! If you don't think they could possibly go bust think Lehman...wasn't that long ago!

I agree, this appears to be the general consensus on vaccines?….1st dose generally effective against known variants, 2nd dose slightly more effective against known variants, 3rd dose maybe slightly more effective against known variants but unsure about new variants, 4th dose don’t have a clue if its going to be effective against any new variants, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th dose to be given weekly and hope for the best??? My arm is starting to look like a second hand dart board! But don’t be concerned as our government has told us it’s all perfectly safe? As it was telling farmers 20 years ago to feed dead sheep to cows! Now look how that ended up! Aimho Adyor!!!! Enjoy your burgers!
Of course Moderna boss says you will need a double dose!!!
He wants the SP to reach 2500% from 2019 to 2022
These shills need to be strung out to dry for their total BS over covid, follow the money and you will see that the vaccines are just enough to stop you from dying, not to get or keep it under control and as long as we have weak governments that cannot accept loss of life due to being old, over-weight, poor health then we will stay on this ride for the next decade. Are you ready for that one?

Oh dear, that bounce lasted 24hours
Today’s (0.96%) bounce was about as convincing as Boris’s Peppa Pig speech! Just see what happens to the markets in the coming weeks, it’s going to get very ugly imho as Covid doom comes back into play? Adyor!!!!
Tui have reported strong bookings and sales for Summer 2022. I expect the market to correct and for this to be in the high 200s in no time.
