It's not at all hard to see what is real and what is fantasy Thunder. What is real is the Tui sp which you just cannot get right and what is fantasy is what the 2 Walter Mittys spout off , those 2 being yourself and Spindler.
2.8m bookings total, not 2.8m in March - at least was how I read it. And he clearly says 70-75% capacity in the interview. How deep is your position here? Whizz air CEO says summer likely to disappoint, 3 years cash there. TUI have more like 3 months cash!
TUI boss says summer holidays can be saved by vaccine drive after travel firm took 2.8million bookings in March
Tui Group chief executive Friedrich Joussen said bookings in March hit 2.8million
Company expects to operate up to 75% normal schedule for summer season
Britons are set to be allowed to travel abroad for foreign holidays from May 17
I read latest tui reviews on trust pilot...didnt sound good to me. The markets are awash with liquidity so its hard to see what is real and what is fantasy.
yes it is a much loved company including by me. They made good on the refund due to this houselhold. I booked with them and went in September..it was great..they are great. Sentiment on top of these fundamentals just doesnt cut it.the bird has a broken wing. I will book with them when the time is right...last minute job but thats me normally anyway. Tui fan but as an investor people need to open their eyes...you think Jeffries came out with 78 p for fun ? Ayway i do wish TUI well i just don't want my dosh invested in pie in the sky...GLA to all though
TUI is a much loved company and is one of the only holiday companies who have stuck to there words and followed due process with there customers though a rigorous structure and duty of care for customers. So the financials are not reading too good but the sentiment is there which is why we see the SP where it is. We can personally vouch for TUI for the duty of care they have shown through this exception period of unknowns. Now the constant battering by a few on here is getting you no where look at the SP. Spindler - Thunder - Everyone's comments are valid are you seriously advising everyone to abort if so there will only be the two of you here fighting for your losses?
@Thunder...the delusion is strong here, it keeps drawing me back it's absolutely fascinating.
I saw the BS being peddled by the CEO on mainstream media this am....blah blah bookings...almost reminds me of Space X and Virgin Galatic ..taking booking on earth orbit and moon lights. What is the point of all these bookings many of which won;t materialise or will need to really be rebooked. Hey i want to go but i'm not booking some vaporware holiday i will wait until I see what the reality is.
There was an article by some lame brain who had booked a holiday just as a feelgood factor ad suggested others do the same...silly moo seriously...this was circa November ..strewth...andthat's the wind beneath Tui's wings? Can i skip boarding please i want a tan not disaster.
Either the delusion is so strong here for upside or a lot are simply underwater on their holding. And i know thas not a nice place to be...but Jesse Livermore always said cut your losses and move on
My issue is he just casually slipped in that they are forecasting capacity of 70-75% now, so its slipping again from 80%. With no guidance the guy can just sit on bad news, its not right. I want to see the balance sheet in the half year results RNS and also an update on the cash burn. All this hype to try and drum up business is useless investment information.
Perhaps those who think sentiment will ever trump fundamentals in the long run need a lesson in aviation. A wing needs speed to create lift, if for some reason there is a problem ..icing...overweight...incorrect flap settings..insufficient lift creates a host of dangers. I think this can be applied to TUI's fundamentals.....Sentiment alone will not get you to where you want to be, at some point fundamentals impose themselves in a heartbeat
Is this the TUI boss who sold shares into the rise ?
Even with the so called green countries the peak holiday season this year will be really short and most people have already booked staycations who wants to go on holiday wearing at the moment with all the extra costs.
Im really surprised Tui is near £4 i think £3 is more realistic.
