It seems the TUI went on to finish the day 23.84% higher at €4:15

I think it will open tomorrow above 340 and might close above 360 if overall market holds up.
Dyor
Cannot see these buy orders being filled though.
I expect this to move higher very quickly come Tuesday.
Great posts Anapa
Greespan,
I have buy orders set at £2.51, £2.64, £296.
I think the demand will be surprisingly strong especially when hotel space may be limited. TUI will probably right size the lift from airlines and cut costs. Yield could be very strong, we'll see. But positive sentiment anyway.
Think you may be well off on demand most I speak to have forwarded the hol to next year.
If you look at measons jet2 comment last week 're demand tells me all I need to know
"Will be significantly below historic levels"

The majority of people go on holiday in normal circumstances every year as a matter of routine.
With everyone being restricted and not allowed to holiday, the general mindset of people has changed and progressed from wanting to go on holiday..... now to.... making it a priority and necessity.
Watch the demand for holidays be possibly the biggest we have ever seen in years.
Supply an demand......., hotels and flights will be sold at premium once the true scale of peoples need to go on holiday comes to the forefront.
Tui will be supplying holidays and gaining business from other companies that have gone under.
Watch this share open up on Tuesday and head north very quickly, this has the strong possibility of surpassing previous highs in the future.
My strategy below is set at....
1 to 3 months very short term top slice position 20% - £4.5
short term 3 to 6 months - £6
mid term 6 to 12 months - £7.5
long term 1 to 3 years - £9+
all in my honest own opinion.
As always please dyor.
GLA, have a great bank holiday.
Duster ???? you was saying ??
lmao
Most will be wary for the rest of the summer it's just my opinion not saying were never going on hols again or fly brigade nonsence but until we get the virus gone it's an issue of demand.
Folks don't want restrictions at resorts they want freedom total freedom to do what they want and when. there is the jobs issue as well wait until mid June when employers start giving 45 consultation periods knowing that they have to start paying towards furlough from August.
It's a short and medium term pickle but hopefully over the next 3 months we can see a clearer trend towards normality

There is good percentage of people who are against lockdown. There were protests against lockdown in Hyde park London, Spain, many states in USA.
These people want normal life and they will be the first to go on holidays!
Holiday companies/airlines are coming up with innovative ways for safety measures. So tourism/travel will slowly return. It will not be overnight change, but gradual process towards normalcy. So will be share price, slowly creep higher as momentum builds up.
Simple really we will still have the virus in August here spain will have some restrictions in place
The quarantine will last longer than 3 weeks before air bridges are in place FCO no travel.
I could go on and on but if the virus burns out it's good for August Sept if it lingers on not so good folks are wary and we need to completely get rid of it before Autumn that's the priority now not holidays it's secondary
Duster,
Despite Ms Patel insisting the policy will be reviewed every three weeks.
(And do you think air bridges will not be negotiated in that time?)
If so ,why not?
Spain will reopen to overseas tourists from July, the prime minister announced on Saturday afternoon, adding that the government would guarantee the safety of visitors and locals as the country emerges from one of Europe’s strictest coronavirus lockdowns. The prime minister said central and regional governments had been planning and coordinating the return to tourism for weeks.

With many other countries in Europe now opening up i.e. Greece Croatia,Cyprus, no doubt Italy soon to follow along with Turkey. Never sure about France!
Can you please tell me why no British tourist will visit these places?
Do you think the UK government is going to stop tourists coming to the country when they are ready to?
P.S. Don't use UK quarantine rules as an excuse that will be reciprocated with other countries sure as day is day and night is night. IMVHO that will remain for a very few weeks.
5-6 weeks time will be all systems up and ready to go.
Cheers.
Camp.
No one for covid who in tbere right mind will take the risk
People who arrive in the UK without accommodation arranged will have to pay for Government-arranged accommodation themselves.
Despite Ms Patel insisting the policy will be reviewed every three weeks, Whitehall sources have played down hopes that the measures could be lifted before the summer holiday season.
Virgin Atlantic warned the plan would keep planes grounded.
'The safety and security of our people and our customers is always our top priority and public health must come first,' a spokeswoman said.
'However, by introducing a mandatory 14-day self-isolation for every single traveller entering the UK, the Government's approach will prevent flights from resuming.
'We are continually reviewing our flying programme and with these restrictions, there simply won't be sufficient demand to resume passenger services before August at the earliest.'
TUI to resume vacation flights from end-June - Rheinische Post
FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Travel group TUI (TUIGn.DE) is planning to resume flights to main holiday destinations in Europe by the end of June, its chief executive told a German newspaper.

“We are planning to start flying again from end June, in time for summer vacation,” Fritz Joussen told Rheinische Post. He said the Spanish island of Mallorca, a favourite destination for German travellers, would be likely to be the first destination.
“We want to resume flight traffic to Mallorca from mid-to-end June. Austria, Greece, Cyprus, Croatia, Bulgaria are also well-prepared,” Joussen told the paper.
Earlier this month, TUI, the world’s largest tourism group, said it would cut 8,000 jobs and look to shed 30% of its costs as it gears up for a July restart to European tourism.
