arsenal58, having read your post and reasons for buying I cannot see any logic other than the hope you have bought at the bottom and are looking for a rebound. They are not matching Aldi throughout the store, only on certain items. The special dividend will result in a loss of MC due to the assets being sold. As for Walmart merging with Tesco the CMA will not allow it. They have already published the reasons for rejecting the Sainsbury's deal which was rejected based on higher prices for consumers and reduced choice.
I am sitting on cash for now and looking to buy TSCO as a good defensive investment. At the moment there is still too much uncertainty around C19 and no matter how much income the company generates the wider market is dragging it back.
be 218 before you know it.....
and i want 235!!!!!!
Yes I understand that anomaly !! does not always work out well for holders
Will cross that bridge when it occurs
Arsenal
Although there is a special dividend, it goes hand in hand with a share consolidation
Cannot refuse 219 handle
Special divi
Stores will trade whatever covid does
Cut back on their staff and changing all the contracts in time like Asda did
Middle managers being lost whatever way possible
Matching Aldi prices across the store
When they are a slimmed down company will Walmart take them out ??.
GLA
FYI. The first UFC will become operational at the end of this month.
If it drops much more I'm topping up, this was at 232 last week and I don't see anything to stop it getting back there..
this special divi better involve some payback because this is getting very painful watch.
sure this was 224p earlier today......
divi re-investment from friday after payouts and share still cannot hold up.
235p is my aim...... 213p and i'm level from what would be a wasted few months......!!!
Fallen below 220, how low can she go?
I'm with Halifax as well.Still havnt bought any for me as well. Obviously waiting to purchase at higher price. Not happy with Halifax share dealing.Could have got a better price Friday afternoon.
I got my Dividend paid on Friday, must of been after close of business as wasnt noticed until today.
looking forward to news about the special Dividend .
I agree, fantastic buy price along with Special divi later in year.
I chose to reinvest with the halifax.Still havnt bought any for me
Fab buy in price
I checked my account after close of play to see not £1103 in there as per3pm but 482 more shares bought at 221.5p!!! And £28 left in the balance. Have no idea why shares were bought or why the full amount was not used to by another 13 shares!!!!
Really need this back to 235 now!!!
Wouldn't it be wise to take the dividend as shares at this low price? I've not heard a cheep from IG regarding the dividend, I guess the 3rd July isn't past till midnight..
divi payment is in but can't use it yet - no doubt clearance time etc - so might as well be 6th!!!!! still, before Monday might use the £1100 on something else other than shares!!!
6th
Same at Halifax, it’s a joke, trading days nearly over, May as well call the payment date the 4th
Strange one.Wife normally re-invests but has switched to cash from now onwards.
In total £1020 dividend.£49 paid in to Santander last night but the other £971 is showing as due on equiniti but not paid in to Santander.Assume it will be a cheque.Has anyone else experience of this. Thanks in advance if so
BArclays usually credit around 3pm
I used to reinvest dividends but very quickly decided to use the funds to invest in other businesses to spread the risk. I don't need the money so have never taken in £s out to enjoy.
just checked my Barclays ISA account and the Divi payment is not in there!!!!!
thought it would be in after midnight or is it a middle of the day thing?????
Price should go up today to sting the dividend reinvestment brigade.
