Lot of volume today. About 2 or 3 weeks worth in recent times.
"cheers to the 20's and on the the 30's"
As a tee-totaller, I'll drink to that.
hi
i always planned to buy late june early july based
on Fy results q1 updat and the the supermarket contract pending
raza had done the same .
jw was clear that mircolise are at arms length they prob had no choice but to take ml cash.
i try to have a few days of the drink a week lol
cheers to the 20's and on the the 30's
Agree with all of that.
As someone also mentioned it doesn't reconcile with other arguments about the quality of the contract. Looks to me as if the closed period ended and he bought, as is his right.
I'd also like to see the new directors buy.
The current BOD have a lot of skin in the game already and mostly at higher prices, but the new additions don't.
Yes, you would imagine any insider trading would be done by making recommendations to your friends/family about buying some and definitely not making it that even Inspector Clouseau would figure it out.
I also share your thoughts about the other directors and hope they will be buying off the back of this news.
“unfounded claims of insider trading” - anyone suggesting this, is talking nonsense.
Raza‘s an insider, but this wasn’t insider trading. There is a difference.
He’s a shrewd operator, and no way would he risk everything for a relatively small number of Trak shares.
Like everyone else, he knew the supermarket contract had been stalled by Covid-19. However, being a NED, he'll have limited contact with the company, not least with its day-to-day operations. So it’s entirely credible that he knew nothing about the impending announcement. To say otherwise smacks of sour grapes from someone who was caught on the hop, ie uninvested.
Clearly, a large proportion of the buys immediately after the results announcement were his, but would I rather it were he who bought, or some anonymous, uninformed PI? The answer is obvious: someone who knows the business inside out!
And the fact that he bought BEFORE today’s game-changing news only adds to the significance of his purchases.
The news today could explain why other PDMRs haven’t topped up recently. I think they still will, and I hope they do. It’s not too late, because this share has a long way to go…
"good luck to all. i will have a drink tonight "
I get the impression you have a drink every night my friend haha
Tonight I shall be joining you.
Hoping to see a close in the 20s.
share prifits were are negative on that stock and that is ok
you do your research and you make your own decision.
the aim market is risky by default
trakm8 even at this price is priced to fail so everyday that goes past is good news
plus the extension with hsbc is material
they did not neef to get involved with cblis
this has been a great week after a very long road.
good luck to all. i will have a drink tonight
I have to laugh. Insider trading of a loss making contract within a company that won't be here by the end of the summer.
I agree with you, open debate is good. That forum use to be good at being balanced but sadly no more.
More bears arriving elsewhere.
I wish Trak wasn't so polarising and didn't generate such strong emotion.
Well reasoned and well supported debate is important - particularly to combat the danger of echo chambers.
However, I don't find anything sensible really - other than unfounded claims of insider trading, loss-making contracts and bankruptcy. None of which seem to be supported by even a modicum of evidence.
I guess we'll see which 'side' 'wins', in the next year or so. ...or apparently in the next month according to some.
Thanks both...
From the April 27 update:
"We are pleased to advise that in the final quarter of the year major contract renewals have been secured with EON and Bibby and a significant feature upgrade for Iceland Foods. "
iceland have upgraded so that is great news as well
Good news then. I am not saying that Iceland would have been bad but fresh blood is definitely better.
"Also, could the client be Iceland given they are already a customer and do delivery (I think)"
No, they already announced a renewed optimisation deal with Iceland a few RNS back (mixed into a trading update). It's definitely a new contract with a new retailer.
As for measures, I'll leave that to someone else - no idea.
Does anyone know if Trakm8 show how much of their business comes from optimisation. They are happy to report connected devices (245,000+) but I cannot see anything that gives you a feel for how well optimisation is doing in meaningful terms i.e. x thousand routes computed per day.
Also, could the client be Iceland given they are already a customer and do delivery (I think)
More importantly, this RNS breaks the curse that all Friday RNSs are bad (unless you believe the bear argument of course)
