Prize Provision Services Limited (from last year's Full Year Report)
During the Covid-19 lockdowns, entries into the lotteries administered by PPS remained steady despite clients' face-to-face promotion of their lotteries being constrained. Lotteries remain one of the most reliable and robust forms of fundraising, which supports PPS' focus on client and player acquisition over the coming year. In summary PPS's revenues rose from £691,000 to £701,000 and a loss of £46,000 for the year ended 31 Jan 2021 (2020: Loss of £43,000).
ps The Weather Lottery Licence came to the company when they acquired PPS (a company owned by Phil Jackson, yes that Phil Jackson). Maybe they will sell it back to him again for peanuts?
All depends on the category but I would guess this would be at the higher end value than most. I just hope they don't sell it for £xxx to via another in house arrangement and it takes them 3 years to complete. They also need to get shot of that sports facility at some point.
The lottery license is a valuable asset in its own right - I heard £1m quoted years ago
Think the lottery doesn't fit with their projected way forward. Sold for 85k rns on the way....
Hope so very interesting move.
All the BOD now converting must be really good news on the way .GLA
More new coming soon. We continue our analysis of the lottery business, which we expect to finish during August 2021, at which time we will submit options to the Board and announcements will be made that outline the plans for that business unit. We have done a lot of work to rationalise the business and prepare it for growth. The process is not entirely complete, but it is materially so, and the team will complete it within the next 4-6 weeks at which time further announcements will be made.
Update on QFC Licence Application
The Company can confirm that it has submitted all the required documentation for its application for a full banking licence in the Qatar Financial Centre.
Buyers showing again today.
Buys being reported as sells due to the spread.
It's a shame a just few more PIs haven't got into these as any buying moves the SP and it wouldn't take much to see this lift off.
TBH,
100% agreed. Have been adding here recently. BTW, thanks for setting up the new thread over at advfn too. Any chance you could add the basic table for news, mcap etc on that one? Efforts much appreciated. ps I don't post on advfn at the moment as I have too many trolls on my case.
