Good Luck bumblebee1
I think they will benefit from the huge amounts of money poured in by the government Tricky
it seems a reasonable assumption . You go on to say about the meager profits as usual well, this cannot be denied regrettably but, on the other side of the coin ,they are paying a divi and its affordable ,they are dept free ,and they have capital in the bank for who knows what. expansion perhaps.
In all probability TLY board will be working on obtaining higher profits, i believe they have only excepted lo w profit margines to help get the contracts and get their foot in the door, not note the amount of money piled in by the gov that then they will seek to improve margins and this could manifest itself anytime up to their year end and i would by then be expecting a jump in profits and dividends next time around as a result because i dont think they have any serious competitors, at least not on the profit margin levels as they stand,i believe you once stated similar,or Eddie did whatever.
On a personnel note i dont agree with all this money going into the NHS because its all been done before and has not proved to work. cynical as i may sound its been done for political reasons to appease the public . On another personal note i sold out on tuesday at 37p what i had left but that's not to say i fault the company and if favorable i could buy back at some point
So Tricky you are saying that NHS gets a good deal out of TLY , that's fantastic news for both party's
My point is that TLY are paying excessive attention to small amounts of money by scooping up NHS contracts that produce meager profits.
They hope to benefit from money poured in from limitless government sources.
haven't the foggiest but does it matter? and your point is ?
I am not talking about the NHS funding private healthcare companies.
I am talking about people with money having the ability to pay for treatments not available on the NHS.
How much are TLY involved in that?
tricky ...
You said it .... LOL sometimes the NHS does not have enough money to provide the latest diagnostic services !
I wouldn't know but it makes you laugh doesn't it? i assume you know it to be true , i can believe it but, it just proves me right as well its like feeding a bottomless pit isnt it? ,and all those billions put into it for years and the extra billions put into it this year and last .how on earth are we still saying that they dont have enough money for all the services, whats it going to take then in terms of funding ?
As i have said below it has reached a point when enough is never enough and private healthcare is needed a lot more than it is today, and,in the future although i dont like saying it but it has to be said because that's what's really needed.and,TLY in a win,win situation either way if it happens or not .?
Outsourced health services, by definition, piggy-back onto the NHS.
I don't have a problem with that.
Sometimes the NHS does not have not enough money to provide the latest diagnostic services.
But outsourcing itself does not provide the latest diagnostics, people have to pay privately for that.
Outsourcing just provides extra capacity resources (piggy-backing onto the NHS).
Tricky...
You say the picture that emerges is of NHS poorly equipped to ensure that health services out sourced to FOR PROFIT providers will provide safe high quality care and good value for money ,unquote.
Doesn't that just go to show why TLY are winning contracts for the NHS in the first place ! because they are judged to be the best ,otherwise they wouldn't get the contracts what's more they have vastly improved the quality of the service and furthermore, its in all probability better than the NHS can offer.
Also your typical comment about "for profit " providers, well do you really think you or the NHS can actually find non profit providers ? LOL
Look, whatever TLY actually charge the NHS it wont be half as much as they should be getting. they are not going to save the NHS money by running at a loss are they ? The NHS is a huge money devouring,in effficient white elephant that has always swollowed ever increasing amounts off the government ,any ther private company would have gone bust the way they are run and the government keep pileing money into it ,yes our money because it is the politicaly correct thing to do even though they must know most of it is wasted through inefficiences. some of this money goes to TLY as we all know
and, because they cannot hope to manage wthout TLY ,they help prop the NHS up,and with in terms of work
Having proved over decades that throwing money at the NHS never seems to help the only long term way is to privatize some if not all of it and have people pay a private health insurance cover instead of the atrocious national health contributions which are a tax in their own right. and this would be a huge benefit to TLY as a private practice. The NHS needs so much reform it would be better to start again .
