Thanks Smith. Very helpful.
As to why Tlou appears to be suffering from a credibility image perception problem, here is another example of why the Botswana story just doesn’t seem to excite the market at present.

Now I know posting this runs the risk of various BS messages from BS, but sure it keeps him busy and occupys his time. He should be grateful for that, if only he knew how to say thank you to anyone…
Thanks to the past regime, it would seem large parts of the judicial, professional, regulatory, civil service and administrative functioning of Botswana regressed significantly under SIK time.
Those processes take a long Time to restore.
Shame the ‘pump and dump’ crew of 2017 had no sense of any of this. And now that obvious signs of it are apparent throughout Botswana society and economy these days, and still they ‘promoters’ show no understanding of any of this … speaks volumes about them, their motives, their understanding, their intellect. The most stupid example of this is - saying the CEO is not in any hurry to accelerate the company and it’s projects because there is always a convenient excuse on which to blame the delays…
Farcical, utterly farcical !
Donks you wrong to try thinking - you do not have the right equipment.
Time has no start and no finish - it is infinite!
The historical Time delays , are still there for the most part , and the one that is history i.e. RPF first time round , is over but the effects of that still resound at the bottome of Lesedi!!!!!
The time lost resolving the second round of RFP could have made the difference between us producing enough gas before the pandamic struck! If we had the situation on funding would have been a different story imho! Everything was forward looking until the RFP fiasco!!!!
That is my opinion not TG's!
I have made my filter flexible ,so I just tested the delete filter option on my only filter and saw your post!!!! Stop defending the indefensible - you are not up to it!
Now I know MM shares my beliefs I might back off and leave it to him to convince the masses.
He speaks to African TLOU ears , much bigger than the Indian TLOU ears that I cannot through.
Trouble is if I stop posting will I worry that dementia has stopped me posting?
I forgot David Moyes name yesterday, and had to look it up! I remembered David but could not get away from surnames that did not start with an "E" - Ellis kept coming to mind. I don't think I know David Ellis so it is things like that worry me! I must try to replace my brain cells that hold "Moagi" with "Moyes" - it won't need even to shuffle the rest - a perfect fit! - agi to yes!
I'll never forget Moyes names again! Moagi with a yes is an extremely memorable thought! Unique!
My question was Why do you /others think the share price has not reacted positively to the news. Stock markets price things looking forward, not backwards. Your answer was Time. Seems the more intelligent answer to me to assume you were meaning the market is looking at Time forward.
Your answer is just another take on the Time spent getting to today.
Maybe I was wrong in thinking you understood how markets work.
MM, if I ever find a woman I'd like to date (I am not looking) would you agree to ask her to go out with me please?
You have more success with my ideas than I do it seems.
Good thinking TB, you have nailed the malaise in the SP pretty well for certain!
Of course the spivs leapt in expecting the big rise , perhaps with money they could not afford!
And , as you say , they got cold feet when it did not happen overnight on ASX (as I was expecting for sure) they prematurely started the oversell on LSE , which carried forward to ASX next working day! A vicious circle!
Little did the spivs know (probably never even heard of TLOU until funding was announced) that it is likely the Aussies were taken by surprise, as many of us were, and missed the RNS. Had the idiots kept the faith, ASX could well have boomed instead of bombing within a day or two!
Omicron has not helped , but I doubt the news of Omicron was enough to kill the price!
Well done mate!
Morning Brad, I'm not sure what I might be agreeing to in all honesty.
Now we have the PPA and Finance I'm expecting some good progress as we have now truly taken control of this Project. Hopefully we will get the Hydrogen module in place and the TL scope contractors mobilised asap and working against an aggressive schedule.
I have previously said that I'd like to see a reduction in PI's holding here as well and personally believe the poor SP is down to PI's who were trying to make a quick buck on the back of the finance deal which hasn't happened.
I do think the next 12 months should see a change in sentiment in this company.
Moagi, have you heard the the expression "great minds think alike" - I cannot believe how close the last two posts are! I reckon TG would agree with both! That is at least 3 of us!
I am not sure whether TB agrees with you, Moagi, but does anybody else?
What an idiotic username that is! The name of one of the most important officials connected to TLOU should not be allowed! Having to call him Lefoko because of ambiguity cannot be right!
Dear, oh dear donks, you really cannot help yourself, can you?
You asked why the SP has failed to ignite (past tense), and also asked to be taken in good faith.
I replied, 'Time' - as in the time taken for the Orapa RFP (6 years and counting), 2 failed years of the original 100MW RFP, the 11 months for the 10MW PPA (against a ALSF-standard 2-3months), Covid heading for 2 years, Dewatering for commercial gas flows (the longevity of which is likely a precursor to strong and sustained gas), and finally the BPOPF project finance which was ALWAYS going to wait for the PPA award.
Preciously little of this can be laid at the feet of the company and management, despite your dribbling.
Yet you managed to spin that I was talking about 'time' being needed now. Wrong. A return of the positive sentiment is what is needed now, so perhaps you should take a few moments (leading to months) away from this forum.
It is also why nobody here will give you the time of day.
With all that has been said, written, posted about Tlou by so many over the past few years, to now be thinking that Time is the thing that Tlou needs the most in order to deliver on its potential seems rather bizarre to me.
Pumping it up by so many for so long - and arrive at that conclusion at this point in time - really!
Suggests confidence isn’t as all consuming as it once was - does it!
If someone told me MM had called TIME on TLOU I would be worried!
So it must have a different connotation?
It seems we agree again , time involved everywhere in TLOU's future.
Whether that be world domination of Covid, Tlou getting more gas out of the ground , Synergen getting their prototype tested, accepted and delivered!
Which date is most important? Imho, the options close date! June/July may be when TLOU need an influx of independent cash to finance Hydrogen.
Before that, if Omicron proves less obstructive than we feared, maybe the date Synergen need Solar Power?
This board seems so peaceful today, I should have neutralised someone's posts long ago.
While I am on the subject of time, I bought a dedicated hard drive for Imac time machine - their fancy backup system that goes on in the background.
I have managed to reformat it for Windows so my next task is to write backup software for my own time machine. It was not straightforward! 4 partitions needed to be deleted. First one was easy but then it never gave the option to delete the others.
I needed to define it as a single disk, give it a name and drive letter, and then it was easy.
The advice I found online did not match reality (as usual).
Talking of time, it is Poppy time!
How much is needed then?
Easy and obvious, Donks.
Time.
Thank you TB. It would genuinely be good to hear a range of views on this. Quite what is going to propel Tlou share price forward is interesting and perplexing.
Come on Morris - would be good to hear from you outside the window of impending Tlou announcements for a change.
Hi mrmoagi, IMO your No1 is the main reason for the poor SP.
PI's have simply got bored with the story.
I would add though that I could see a rapid spike in the SP from FOMO as well.
I'm personally hoping more II's get on board and the PI's holdings reduce as that generally gives growth and stability.
Morris,
This is a genuine question to you. We both want Tlou share price considerably higher than as at present, so we are on the same sides (even though often it seems we are not).
You are clearly well informed on Tlou matters so I would be interested in why you reckon the share price has not reacted (as yet) to news of the signed PPA and attaching funding package to (I assume) deliver the first gas to power project in Botswana.
Have you any thoughts to offer on why the share price has shown no positive reaction to the news?
For my part, possible reasons I can come up with are. I am not looking to create debate or argument on the merits or otherwise of these points, so no need for anyone to go on the attack.
1. The market has had to listen and wait too long for the project to get going.
2. The market makers have been absorbing sellers over the past few months (whilst waiting for this news) and now the news is out, they need to release that stock back to investors and day traders.
3. Gas to power is a proof of concept; so is the Hydrogen prototype - so again the market is not yet convinced any of these will work (even though they are well enough proven elsewhere).
4. The market has little interest in relatively small Botswana plays at this time - due to Covid fatigue.
5. Omicron variant has further unsettled those interested to following this stock, Botswana or Southern Africa. (Omicron is new issue so I don’t blame it for reason why funding news has been ignored).
6. If not the market makers released any positions they have accumulated, then might it be other major and tired shareholders? That doesn’t make sense since they would have let price after news and sell into strength rather that force price further down.

Anyone is welcome to offer their reasons. This weeks activity has certainly surprised me.
(Smith - I am filtered so I am desperately hoping you can leave this thread alone and let people offer their views unfettered by your usual interference.)
