JP was a true snake salesman and he did nothing for the values and practices of the AIM. Not sure anyone will be fooled by his rhetoric again. Tony is the polar opposite heavily backs his own company with his own cash on the level and honest with his rhetoric. Here’s hoping push it to the next to the next stage sooner rather than later.
Brad I gave you a tick up for that one - hopefully you are now in a state of bliss!
Winni you and I have very similar thinking here. I also think TG is a quality CEO, honest and up front - there is a clarity to the announcements that probably many AIM punters don't like. The majority of Twitter folk are easily influenced and seem to buy into the James Parsons type of hyperbole.
What we have here is definitely a hare and tortoise situation and those who are willing to see the underlying graft, progress and commitment from the company will back the tortoise and will certainly be rewarded imo.
Good luck with your investment.
Saw an article on a vaccine.
A woman was suggesting that any new vaccine should first be tested on the government!
She argues that if it works, we'll be safe from coronavirus.
And if it fails, we'll be safe from Govt!
I too have been since 2016 and really did not expect to see substantial share growth until they are connected to the grid. My timescale was 7- 10 years from 2016 to really any great value returned. Most of the AIM companies shorten the reality to encourage investment from PI which is usually well out on the actual time it takes. Eg, I am in a COVID stock which has had a test under review with FDA for over 6 months .. but a lot of PI’s thought it would take a matter of week . Most brought in on the spike and are currently under water but should do well soon when it is passed. I have a timescale 12 months and currently happy with how things are progressing. Where as they are not and have much the same attitude as you. Not quite the same type of project but the same problem which is ‘expectation’ not many CEO’s manage this very well.. but I think TG is quite honest with his approach .. but I guess that’s where we differ you think his a romancer taking people for a ride
Not true winni, I new perfectly well that buying into tlou would mean African timescales but nobody could have foreseen the scale to which this has slipped, the bots government are partly to blame but so is Gilby! When you purchase shares you are buying into the rhetoric that the management tell us, but what they promised and what they have delivered in those predicted timelines is way off the mark! I’ve been invested here for 4+ years now so I’m pretty up on the potential, but for all the talk and waffle from the bod, at some point they’ve got to act and say, you know what enough is enough sack the route with the government off and sign for funding elsewhere! It’s no good having all that gas sat in the ground if you continue to not be able progress the project just because your waiting for the bots government to come good with the funding!!
Truth is whizz we both want the same out come it’s just one of us has weighed up the process, timescales and potential better than the other one . All for one and one for all...
Some good points winni, I’ll try and take stock of my postings in the future! Not promising anything though!
Whizzer. ... well one can see why you are lonely and sad then .... because you are not posting things that can be discussed, you are just saying the same old stuff on repeat.... how many poster engage in quality discussion based on your messages ...... none I bet !! By the way I am not trying to sensor you .. just pointing out how sad you look to the wider world ....
As it’s a discussion board for tlou, a company I’m invested in, I will continue to post what I think and feel about the company, good or bad!
The bod are a shambles
Whizzer ..I haven’t attacked you I have highlight your failings and your need to spread your obvious misery to everyone... do you have any experience in financing energy projects in Southern Africa . I certainly don’t and don’t have a clue about what it entails and lead time to achieve. For me the dewatering is more of an issue than the finance because someone will lend the money but the rate of return might be the stumbling block here. Where as the amount of water and time to pump it out is an unknown ....... so if you don’t want to be pulled up for your posts stop posting the same old negative dirge every few days and keep council until you have something constructive to say . .. remember there is little reward without risk hence the fact you gambled you coinage on Tlou in the first place .
Winniemandala, coming on here to attack someone with your first post! Well done!
The only depressing thing here is the bod think we are gullible enough to believe they are still running the rule over possible funding possibilities!!!
They have gone from it being pretty much in the bag to now running the rule over different financiers! Pull the other one!!
The project has stalled because of no signed ppa and funding! 2-3 years behind schedule because this bod have no plan B!!
Winnie, filter him as I have - it is good for your nerves!
He is even pi55ing Donk off, post 8905 ends with
"Whizzer - tbh I am getting tired of your ‘being a baby’ tantrums."
Tried to post this earlier.....
Reading the RNS, I see there is talk of solar being installed at all 3 sites.
On Mamba and Boomslang instead of being described as gas and solar, as in Lesedi, it mentions solar and gas in reverse order. Reading about Lesedi, I was comfortable that the $10m was earmarked for gas and distribution lines alone.
Searching through the document for "solar" threw up several references including gas being used to back up solar power. I wish I had a De Lorien car to skip forward a few years, exciting times ahead!
One trade in Oz for 5.5c, they are still flying the Tlou flag high.
Scheme. You need to take a chill pill sit back and wait .. because really there is nothing else you can do ..other than take real control of your investment and sell even at a lose.. if I were you I would just bide your time and hope it all pulls together .. I am under water as most will be ... but the bet is on the potential which is getting closer to being realised with every baby step . No one wants to read your constant message of dissatisfaction month on month on month
Whizzer .. never have heard a more sad and predictable message from a truly depressive character.. It is clear from the outset, you had no understand of the project you invested! This was never going to be straight forward project it would obviously be riddle with pitfalls and hidden problems. And timescale that would be missed regularly. Bringing a new industry to Southern Africa would take the patients, guile and tenacity along with large pot of cash and a fair wind to achieve . As you can see from the recent rise in share price the belief is there in the back ground . However some will trade this on the way, which is why it has retrace some of it agains in the Last few days. Yes things are progressing slowly and yes Colm was silly with his tantalising close PPA/finance statement. But the potential is still there, the need is still there and the demand is still there. With all Investing / gambling there is no divine right to achieve monetary success just because you have risked some of your hard earned coinage. The project is de-risked more than ever the next stage is pivotal to the success of the project once achieved things hopefully will start in haste and true value will hopefully be achieve. It will take as long as it takes and no amount of whinging from what probably is a small invested is not going to speed things up in the grand old sceam
I think you mean another copy and paste job! Nothing new!
Makes for very positive reading.
Solar given equal billing as CBM throughout.
