First time post on LSE was after many years on iii.co.uk before it was redesigned to the point of uselessness. If you can work out how to use it, and if it's really of interest, you could review my iii posts.
I can't remember the content of my first post on here, so your RENE contact is probably a more reliable source than me. But I can reliably inform that B is for bear. Growl.
Just had a private message from someone on the RENE board explaining that , Grizzly B, is nothing to do with Bears - just a shortened version of a word to do with legitimacy or not. First time post on here was memorable while it lasted. Not very long or worthwhile but too big for our filters on here!
The reason I post so much, is I get really miffed when I look on here and it has not changed since last time! Bit like going out to the post box and there is no mail! Really miffing and feels like a waste of time after making the effort?
Chukkers, your 'piffe' reminds me of a story I heard at Pilkington Glass, Kent where I had to demonstrate some software for them. The boss told me one of their reps went to France to give a sales pitch and decided to speak French as much as possible to impress. At lunch, he asked the French manager why people were smirking every time he said the name of their company , GPT! He tried to pronounce it in the French way - Jay Pay Tay instead of Gee Pee Tee! The manager smiled and told him politely his pronunciation was that of " J'ai peter" which translates to " I have farted".
Sorry to raise the level from miserable bears without ears! Nothing like a good moan when you are losing money as we all are on paper.
The "casing" does not actually exist from the Wiki article I posted as piffle! It sounds as if the gas finds it way up the back of the excavations or something.
Tom will know this I feel, but Kodiak certainly won't, he'd rather have an empty chat room! He might have been that rep - strange smell on here!
UK price looks higher than ASX price - think it might be time to do some more overnight trading if the numbers add up! 10c for a share I kicked off with at 10p I think? And we are much further down the road now, sounds pretty good value.
i genuinely enjoy reading his posts on a another note i googled what does piffle mean and accidentally wrote meaning of word piffe a definition from urban dictionary came up, biggest mistake of my life...
EVERYTHING hinges on the flow rates. The Minister said in his speech he was fully committed to CBM once it was proved there is gas and it flows. And once proven, his support would be immediate. So silly, once the results are known and published we will be kicking ourselves for not remortgaging the house to buy at 6p, or we'll be remortgaging the house to buy a loaf of bread and wonder why we did not get out of here long ago. And the result , either way, will be obvious with hindsight.
I believe in TG , there is gas imho and he says dewatering is going well. Water is the main danger to gas flows but even then it is possible to pump water and gas mix to the surface, and to separate the two! Highly inefficient to do that and safely getting rid of the contaminated water residue would also be awkward. The heavy pumping also knackers the pump faster than compressing the gas.
I may just have explained why we are taking it slowly? Clean glass is the aim, and if that takes a few extra months, it will be worth it?
I am sure TG on a podcast said he would be back in Botswana in September. If that's true then they will probably discuss it then.As we all know the BG like 3-4 months gap in between each decision they make so I would imagine a slow drift until gas results and then who knows.
Think there is little to say here until a route to market is established. Everything else is a sideshow. SP simply drifting in the news vacuum. I know a decision is pending but does anyone have any firmer info on when this tender will finally be sorted out.
Hello Tom, Tony talked about it on a video. I have found this one which breaks up when I play it. As you suspect, I think I have misheard what he was saying. He talks about strong water flows and gradually lowering the water and I think I did as you thought. I understood he meant pressures whilst he was actually talking levels. I get that now.
5 minutes into this video is the bit I heard or misheard. At the time I knew nothing so it was very interesting to hear what the significance of dewatering was and I'd have believed anything I thought I heard.
Its bang on target at the moment. Dewatering is going to plan, the flow of water is reducing and they are expecting to report on increased pressure from gas release in the next few weeks. We were told to expect a gas flow result within Q2.
I'm looking forward to an increase in reserves and finance to be done in fair short order.
He has just announced they reduced the dewatering flow because of the high pressure. Could be a lot more than the expected water - now how was he to know that in advance? Why is everybody so impatient?
Does dewatering usually take.In a podcast in March TG said it was underway and we should hear in Q2 which he then said starts in April so just a few weeks. He then said 3 days ago 2 months later that it should be finished in a few weeks. Has TG caught the Botswana time fever when everything is just a few weeks. Are the resultd better or worse the longer it takes as he seems quite confident about the outcome. And for conspiracy theorists do they already know the results and were waiting until after the Tender results to report them. Just something to discuss while we wait with more knowledgeable people on the subject. The last point was just tounge in cheek(or was it) Good luck everyone hoping one day soon we will close in double figures.
