I cannot take your call at the moment! Press the hash key and go and get stoned!
That’s great - hey thanks for clarifying your thinking.
"the only factor that is needed to develop a gas field is a customer who can commit to buying gas” - so basically you, me, Kalahari, Strata-X, a taxi driver could have responded to the Ministry 100mw tender and we would all have been awarded Preferred Bidder status. Gosh I wish I had known that, as I would have submitted something. Tell me - does the Orapa 90MW tender follow similar lines?
PPA - interesting you still see this as only mildly relevant. I suppose that is because Tlou have drilled and can flare gas, so job done on the exploration side. Now just pile into the development side, which remind me please, needs lots of what exactly ??
And to get whatever lots of ‘that’ is, I wonder what the suppliers of ‘that’ themselves actually need for themselves.
I think you are even right about OB - those were seriously dopey, irrelevant questions. Your answers were very informative. Enjoy rest of your weekend - I think watching the paint dry on my garden fence is going to be more interesting than reading what you have to say.
The alter-egos , don't exist afaiac from now, I don't suffer fools gladly!
Alto-ego was going to lead to a joke about soap operas , but I got distracted!
TG is guilty of under-estimating the pitfalls that have beset us, but this quote from the KE cutting shows he was not alone!
“An estimate of 20 months is given for possible economic extraction of gas, provided there is a committed consumer ready to use the gas,” he said."
If 20 months was thought to be long enough to produce gas for 97MW , I'd commend TG on not getting too carried away on his timings for up to 10Mw! If the guy was qualified to state what he did, I now wonder just how quickly Orapa gas could be produced given a following wind and no tidal waves? 2025 is a Govt target date for a successful CBM industry ..... it looks extremely possible to me.
“An estimate of 20 months is given for possible economic extraction of gas, provided there is a committed consumer ready to use the gas,” he said.
MOAGI , YOU REQUESTED AN IDIOT'S GUIDE , so here it is.
I have repeated everything I have ever said for you so many times and still you ask for more!
"the only factor that is needed to develop a gas field is a customer who can commit to buying gas". They don't have a customer yet , no PPA , the only factor that will start development!
SO THEY ARE NOT YET DEVELOPING??????? GET IT??????
Tlou are well into their development phase , and are preparing the Tx lines to deliver on their PPA when it is signed! 2MW looks a lot compared to SFA!
I have just realised you can read filtered messages without logging out!
The one downside of filtering is no more!!!!
You thick effer, I showed evidence of KE flaring dates so no bias as you claim!!! And I explained my answers to those dopey OB questions ...... the demand for power is enough to get funding for ~2MW because it is easily achievable , Selemo is in production to prove that , dewatering needs completion but producing 97MW with no funding, no work taking place, or KE telling lies, is a different proposition!
I don't need to explain anything to my "adoring followers" because they'd exist because they have the comprehension that you sadly lack! I find it incredible that your alto-egos mis-comprehend in exactly the same manner as you!
I imagine the air is blue as you and OB read this ...... ffs it it must be the the blue hydrogen - what a pair nutcases you are!
So you give Ministry, Minister Moagi and Tlou mgmt positive weighting for their 2-10MW Preferred Bidder award in the 100mw tender; yet give no credit to Kalahari for their 97mw Preferred Bidder award in same tender. Since you highly rate Ministry and Minister Moagi, can you explain your logic here.
And your slant on Mr Ntsimanyana (whoever he is) is his words appearing in Bots newspaper are not to be trusted; yet words appearing in same newspaper about Tlou is something to get excited about. Care to explain that logic as well.
And we all know (coz it is public knowledge) the fieldwork work Tlou did to it’s Preferred Bidder status, but you suggest Sekaname have done no fieldwork to achieve their Preferred Bidder status. Care to explain this logic.
3 more questions for you to help you enjoy a productive weekend. If you have time leftover, have a go on OBs first 3 questions again perhaps. If you are going to transmit endless amounts of your thoughts, you really are going to have to justify them to your adoring followers who wait for your every pronouncement.
Have a lovely weekend ahead.
"Mr Mokwaledi Ntsimanyana, geologist at Kalahari Energy, said in an interview that the company has gathered positive results from drilling work and analysis information thus far and the only factor that is needed to develop a gas field is a customer who can commit to buying gas in bulk at an agreeable price."
That says it all! It is chapter and verse on the theory that TLOU are reliant on a PPA.
It is essential to Sekaname , or to anybody backing them to be precise . If the quote still apllies to their logic, they won't have started work yet!!!!
An unbiased opinion follows ...this introduction
"RE: Delay Tuesday 11 Sep 2018 09:26
Sekaname were quoted as demanding a large order before they'd even get started ... hardly an endearing attitude and not the fastest approach towards the energy crisis. Square Mile Junky thinks we are in prime position for the tender and so do many of us."
"TLOU Energy - Botswana - Coal Bed Methane
Monday, May 15 2017 by Square Mile Junky
This is an interesting one. The ranking says it's barking. The story the team are building says something very different. TLOU Energy is based out of Australia and listed on ASX and AIM. The management team look very solid and there is a history of returning large multiples to investors e.g. Sunrise Energy with Tony Gilby..
Botswana is also land locked and imports large volumes of diesel by truck to fire energy plants. The mining activities in Botswana require large amounts of energy. And yet Botswana sits on large Coal Bed Methane reserves which could be used to fire the energy requirements. Having read several parliamentary speaches by various ministers it is clear energy scarcity is a big problem, and that the government sees Coal Bed Methane as a solution. To this end the Botswana government issued a RFP to two companies - TLOU Energy and another called Sekaname which I believe is owned b y Kalahari Energy (Of Panama Fonseca fame). I believe TLOU is in prime position but you can do your own research on that!"
I guess I don't need to point out how much of the newspaper article forms the basis for certain cynical opinions on here. All the twaddle about the cost of lateral drilling vs vertical drilling, is now in context. One man's newspaper is another man's Koran.
This even older article puts forward more about KE than I can recall seeing.
It mentions their flares which some doubted a while back.

If anybody wants a reminder of our mission 6 years ago this is excellent.
Virtual pipeline has moved on, real pipeline looking possible for Orapa if we get it, plus Tlou power generation, distributed along Tx lines to Serowe all look more 2021 than 2016.
It is a pity it has taken so long , however , the business case is still strong, and the Govt seems to be waking up. I was looking for the podcast in which TG suggested TLOU can sell to SAPP because my memory is that it was an automatic right and Botswana had to comply. Time for beer and treat ball!

Tunnel vision - now that’s a good one! Do you spot your own irony.
Filters - you have had your blinkers on for decades mate.
Thanks though for making my weekend. Your were asked .... and you were found utterly wanting. At least we now all know just how little you actually know. Have a good weekend posting to yourself.
No sweat Donk, my filters are back on and whether you are one, two or three apologies for investors with tunnel vision (you should invest in AA) I don't have time of any of you.
I think you must all use the same dodgy drugs dealer because I cannot differentiate between you , the labotomies must have been a job lot , 3 for the price of one?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/stories-55854145
It isn't going to be long before funding is sorted and you'll be able to twist the truth on what a great deal TLOU negotiate. If you don't see the end of the tunnel soon , you are on circle line!
Oh what you gone and done OB. Now we will get a weekend of posting drivel that says nothing more than Tony has already thought of that; Tony made lots of money at this already; Tony knows what he is doing and you ‘musketeers’ don’t; in Tony I trust; ...
And book-ending that will be insults about me and my 2 alter-egos.
Basically - another weekend of his repeat rinsing of the same old, same old. Yawn.
OK....
Mr Smith's response to 3 very basic questions.
1) You got that right. Nobody. Well done Mr. Smith.
Because by law only BPC buys electricity in Botswana. So you can relax about safeguarding "our electricity" from the countries prepared to go to war to buy "our electricity"
2) No. Just no. Go find out what colour the ions are before commenting on anything relating to hydrogen. Hint... it is not about the ions. It is all about the carbon balance for different industrial production processes.
3) No. One does not raise finance on promises of war. A commercially acceptable PPA with an entity that has an acceptable counter-party risk comes first. Then financing.
No PPA means no finance.
On the SAPP....Yes we can sell to the SAPP if we have the required authorisation. At the tariff of the day of course. But we need to finance and build the damn plant before that yes? So who will provide the finance looking into it's crystal ball on the SAPP tariffs for the next 20 years? Really? Really Mr Smith?
YOU THOUGHT THOSE QUESTIONS WERE WORTH REPEATING?
1. Nobody - if we don't safeguard our power from at least half a dozen countries who'd kill to get their hands on it!
2. Difficult to make anything that is not green from solar. Blue and Brown hydrogen from methane but if it is not used for hydrogen , the carbon is still going to produced in CBM power!
3. The countries that would kill for our power , will still be desperate for power in 20 years, 30 years or more!
If you'd taken notice of TG instead of doubting whether he made a success of none, one or two previous CBM ventures, you , or OB , would know TG said from day 1 that we are not dependent on Botswana buying our power , we can sell to SAPP.
SAPP is going to be good for centuries far less 20 years ..... and anybody with half a brain can see that! I'm still waiting to see what Aliko does in the CBM field. His religion forbids him to charge interest so he has o keep investing in profit making concerns to grow his returns OR he can retire!
He sounded very keen on Botswana and CBM ...... so what is not to like about TLOU?
I had to remove the filters on the three musky queers to download their posts and get the times - so shove your questions but mind your brain in that black hole.
Smith - in case you have forgotten or misplaced my previous, ooops OBs previous questions:
Maybe....... tell us:
1) to whom Tlou will sell the electricity from the solar PV plant;
2) how one makes "green" hydrogen from solar and / or methane?; and
3) how one raise finance without a commercially acceptable PPA from a counter-party with a credit rating that is good for the next 20 years.
Take the weekend if you need to. If other posters are feeling as I do, they will be looking forward to your considered opinion on something actually pretty relevant to Tlou for a pleasant change. Talk it over with poppy if you feel the need.
We agree , you are least of all for sure.
I delivered mail to the very old feller whose house I bought back in 2004.
I was horrified! He was putting in a new door-bell and had a huge drill which he was using at 45 degrees across cavity walls made of brick! I didn't say anything but the bell was working next time he had post.
I revisited my door bell , as planned, and shorted the wires that connect the bell to the bell-push. Dissembling the bell push, I checked the resistance on those wires - as feared , infinity! The wires from either end won't move more than a few inches but, horrorshow, they rise at around 45 degrees through loads of brickwork (there was a porch at one time) and emerge from the backboard behind the fuse box in the house! Probably 5 or 6ft as the crow flies.
I've just ordered a wireless model , nothing is simple any more. This one has a mini dynamo attached to the bell push so it does not need a battery, Uncle Tony could be proud of me :O).
Tick tock
Nobody cares. Least of all me.
I should have said, Apologies to everyone else as well, I think a few of you were persuaded by their similar opinions and style of posting as much as anything I claimed, but I may have sewed the seed. Moagi's history on LSE is so short compared to bucklerfern's ..... time to shift back to my door bell after my light bulb moment on posters!
Hmmmmmmmmble pie time may be near?
=====================
My certainty i.e. moagi === bucklerfern has failed my tests!

Doesn't it make you wonder why BoyleSports outlets have ATMs in them?
PaddyPower is about to take a hit because they are not going to take credit card deposits anymore. Is that because PaddyPower are looking out for their clients? Or because regulators have made it so? PaddyPower made it sound like a community gesture. Doubt it.

Don’t hold your breath waiting or bet the house on it. It made sense 10 years ago, and here we still are.

To justify that they are same person takes such a convoluted argument , I think I owe Donkey a serious apology. I am totally amazed because I'd have bet Poppy's life I was right!
It was an interesting mini project so not a waste of time!
