Really appreciate the tip Lovelyboy. Just checked my HL account and hadn't previously completed the form. Cheers.
No problem Tony. Probably not an issue but I'd hate for anyone to get caught out on a technicality this far down the line.

If you're with HL, given today's news, as a precaution just check your W-8BEN is up to date....
Log in to your account, go to your account settings, then click 'share dealing and live prices'.
In the grey panel on the right check that 'Able to deal US shares' is a YES.
If not click the link to complete a new W-8BEN form. It takes less than a minute. All on-line.
Nice to see some news (even if it's vague) on Accustem today.

I'm hoping WIllis Owen will let me trade them, even if it's an exception to their rule. I have written to them and they are usually fairly prompt at replies. I don't really plan to keep the shares very long but I also wouldn't like to be given cash based on their opening price.
Hargreaves Lansdown let me trade US Shares - all you do is fill out their form and bob's your uncle! My current form lasts until end of 2022! So all good for me!
Clear as day-no London listing, despite original statement to list in London first and US later. Not sure how that leaves us homegrown investors to trade our shares on the Nas. Extract from today's rns: The board of directors of Accustem has resolved that the Nasdaq listing venue is more appropriate to the nature of Accustem's business.
denny 100% agree, RNS implies NASDAQ only to me.
Indeed mum, and then we can concentrate on TILS again !!
Exactly, and of course they can distribute shares without them being listed anywhere. I used to be a limited one man company as a contractor and my company had unlisted shares.
I think it's quite plain. The shares will be distributed, and you will see the appropriate number of Accustem shares added to your account, with zero value. (as some are already seeing).
They will get a value, and you will be able top trade them, once they are listed on an exchange, and that is going to be NASDAQ.
Each of us will need to find out how our provider will deal with this, if they do not allow US shares.
For some historic reason I can't recall my ISA is with Willis Owen.
I'm sure we will get another RNS which should leave no room for interpretation.
Sack the Nomad.

Companies can distribute many classes of assets, dividends in cash the most obvious but also assets like investments such as these in a limited company incorporated in the UK or somewhere else which may or may not be listed. The fact that the shares are distribute is not evidence that the shares are listed on the LSE or anywhere else.
Rns 16/9/2020 together with circular for voting same date.
The bods have to adhere to the court and furthermore to the detail outlined in the circular which was the legal wording attributable to getting it voted through.
I can't see the bods not adhering to the court as they would be in contempt and leave themselves open to company and possibly individual prosecution.

The RNS says the shares will be distributed and then shortly after listed on Nasdaq. I read that to mean it's the only exchange that the shares will be traded on...
With regard to TLS holders who have shares held in a SIPP or ISA that does not allow US investments then I'd expect the broker to either offer to sell them upon receipt or offer to transfer them into a brokerage account that allow foreign holdings. I use Interactive Investor which allows US holding is ISA, SIPP and their standard trading accounts.
in all fairness this has been a **** show form the start, will just be glad when thay are listed just to get it over and done with.
Phil because putting "The board of directors of Accustem has resolved that the Nasdaq listing venue is more appropriate to the nature of Accustem's business." manke it sound as they are only listing on the NASDAQ Uuuuughhhh
Why is that I read most posts on here in the voice of Neil of the Youngs Ones?
They cannot distribute any Accustem shares if they are not listed anywhere, so they HAVE to be listed on LSE first, then NASDAQ as per this RNS.
"What does it all mean, man? Uuuuuugh!"
"Shut UP Neil!"
think i'm stuffed with a tax issue if it is only US listing, hope it is not.
do we have an idea of the value attributed to the distribution?
Better to be on nasdaq rather than lse as us sharebuyers are more adventurous in share buying in general and also may attract the reddit crowd. All good news to me.
The RNS seems perfectly clear. They are not listing in London as originally intended, they are listing on NASDAQ. Accustem will need to raise further funds as I recall and NASDAQ is probably a better place to do this.
From the RNS "The board of directors of Accustem has resolved that the Nasdaq listing venue is more appropriate to the nature of Accustem's business."
Just don't get it, why cant they just issue an RNS which answers questions instead of raising more! How hard can it be..
To be honest the RNS is vague... Does it mean sole listing in the U.S?? That's my take
