There is an entire Biotech investment ecosystem in the United States that are well connected with Industry. It's quite incestuous, everyone is well connected and there's a lot of collaboration. The 2 recent funds who have invested will almost certainly have been at ASCO which is as much a forum for investors as it is for Oncologists. I expect Tiziana to be on other Funds radars as they will have an insight into what the other players are investing in.
Now this is what we want to see
Institutional buying with specialist insight and looking for growth
Follow the money and stay put
Get out of aim and £100 a day daytraders
Let’s get the business’s separated, onto the main markets and get these yanks to stop selling and start buying and understand what this is all about
If you look at their latest holdings filing you can see some great growth Companies
Their portfolio is worth $1.2bn and Tiziana accounts for circa $25m, not an insignificant 2%
Worth remembering some peeps purchased at 40p so thats a five bagger compared with Altiums purchase..
SP needs to go to a £10 for Altium to book the same % return.
Altium Capital is a healthcare investment firm focusing on the development of stage public mid-and small-cap equities. It focuses on identifying opportunities to invest in growth companies in the healthcare industry.
That is what we need, U.S. based Specialist Healthcare Investors taking large positions rather than daytrading Robinhood types who know nothing about the Company and do not want to know anything either
Spot on.
Institions are building the stake whereas some PIs are panic selling, always follow the money.
"Altium's team of doctors, scientists and investment professionals digs deep into these companies to develop a strong investment thesis,"
Altium Growth Fund, LP have acquired 5,504,807 ADS - new SEC filing
