Pilot mountain was going nowhere for us, basically dead weight and an ongoing reminder of going nowhere fast. The share option is good as POW are currently moving into a nice size 50% JORC on one of there other projects. THOR is now in the position to focus more on the main projects along with a nice bit of capital and a shed load of share value not dependent on one thing but a whole company that does have JORC.
"Nice to have the cash /shares but you could build a whole company around the pilot mountain licence - it’s huge - can’t help but feel we were short changed."
I agree, feels like we are selling a bar of gold for 50p.
My retraction of this message didn't appear. This refers to ORCP not THR. Sorry folks.
Sorry guys. My post was meant for ORCP !!!
SP down 20% in the last 5 days. Maybe if we get some bad news the SP will rise as the movements always seem to be counter-intuitive.
Maybe short changed but ,at the the risk of stating the obvious,we still have a significant interest in Pilot Mountain by virtue of our ownership of POW shares
Just can't get away from Power Metal they seem to be everywhere.
interested in the SP. Everything else is just swings and roundabouts. Regardless of any news sp can't stay above 1p
It depends on your definition of "junior". Whichever way you look at it, resources is an industry that is overwhelmingly dominated by men and female CEO's are few and far between.
Nice to have the cash /shares but you could build a whole company around the pilot mountain licence - it’s huge - can’t help but feel we were short changed.
Nicole Galloway Warland, Managing Director of Thor Mining, commented:
"We are pleased to announce the completion of the due diligence process by Power Metals and its written confirmation to exercise the option to acquire the 100% of Pilot Mountain Project in Nevada, USA.
This strategic divestment will allow Thor to focus on our copper and gold projects and provide further capital to accelerate exploration activities, including RC drilling, at Ragged Range Project in the Pilbara WA and progress baseline studies for In-situ Recovery for copper and gold at Alford East Project, SA.
This sale is also the right mix of cash and shares to provide ongoing exposure to the Pilot Mountain Project."
Oh come on - it's 2021. Yes more females needed to redress historic imbalance and prejudice but there will be good CEO's and bad CEO's - what's between their legs doesn't make any difference to that fact - even discussing 'the positives' presumes there could be gender based negatives.
(For what it matters - I'm M)
A misogynistic point of view about female CEOs might be that males are better - sooooo females work harder and try harder to get acceptance and success!!!!
ALL BODES WELL FOR US THEN IF THAT'S THE CASE : )
Hi Imp. For some time I have had the opinion that AIM companies could do with more females on the BOD.
Hi, Naise
This thought had crossed my mind, too. As far as I know, Nicole is the only female CEO in the junior mining/exploration sector. If anyone knows otherwise, do tell me.
That is actually a really good report; lots of info & well written. Nice.
More money in bank. As PM sale is finalised.

Shame there is not more women at the top in small cap miners

Couldn't sleep and saw this. GLA
Anything to do with POW needs a huge amount of DD!
Hopefully positive news tomorrow as think Power Metals' 90 day DD comes to an end. Fingers crossed.
Dunno snooz, I am more focused on picking the moment.
>Not a bad day today - up 8% at one point on no news. Not long til the AGM now : )
I asked a very similar question before... but did it unnecessarily sarcastically (sorry to all for that). Please read this as a genuine question:
Where did you see this +8% ? All I saw was the Bid: 0.85 & Ask: 0.95 unchanged all day.
Sometime I have submitted some RFQs to RSPs just to see what they'd quote - it's always inside this spread up to 1m shares.
I'm starting to wonder if there's a better-connected broker out there than what I'm using as I'm missing out on some better prices.
AGM is at: 10 November 2021 at 10am (Greenwich Mean Time).
Not a bad day today - up 8% at one point on no news. Not long til the AGM now : )
Well they should just limit the short interest to some relatively trivial percentage of the total float, say no more than 30-50%, with say a hard 3 strikes on failure to deliver policy, resulting in a lifetime ban from participating, no excuses.
