Friday looked interesting on the Nasdaq.
Let’s see what develops.
Not sure there’s a straight extrapolation to THG but will keep an open mind as ever.
Not a bull THG quite yet but will continue to view the data.
A worthwhile discussion - that’s extremely rare these days.
Thanks again
If you seek positives you will find them. If you seek negatives you will find them. ~ KJU (not the real one) 2022
That actually sounded more upbeat!
1 month today let us see ok? My money is where my mouth is :P
I bought 48,086 shares the other day @79.546 Evidence -> https://ibb.co/QKPZQpH
Before you ask why the random number not 50k it actually rounds my share holding up to an exact 80k shares in total as I had averaged in slowly with profits from other shares.

Suns out at times and it's dry. Best enjoying it than conversing with a paid to post. No doubt getting paid per reply and double time on a Sunday. I'm off to do a bit of shopping and to double it with seeing TopGun Maverick again and on the Imax screen this time.
…and thanks for link.
Various opinions out there but I like the sound of this one.
It’s a start.
Best
I think we agree on this …. “but as I said the negatives get outweighed by positives at certain price points.”
I just don’t think we have reached that point yet especially overlaying sentiment towards MM and the market overall.
It’s impossible to find the exact bottom or top but once the trend changes for a meaningful reason I will add again?
I have been a reasonably successful investor for over 30 years but never try to front run the market.
Best to all.
See, kinda proving my point you can't find a single positive as such you are doomed to keep losing money if you can't see the opposite views. I was negative THG from just under £3 so I get your point but as I said the negatives get outweighed by positives at certain price points. I hope you learn to understanding trading and valuations better Rock8.
This is the link I was watching, I think you may find it educational since you are into "technicals" even if you don't actually understand them.
By the way just a quick one but what was your thoughts on Tesla when they was $30? did you buy based on the current news or the future or simply look at it not making vast profits at the time? just wondering? perhaps you wasn't "investing" back then? I bet your reply is either 1) I don't pay attention to international shares or 2) I made a load of profit.

I assume that’s why short positions are rising again but still low vs historical published data.
I still hold a position at the moment but no evidence that the trend in place since the bid collapse (which happened 11 days before we were told - large shareholders knew in advance) has reversed.
Let’s see if the trend does reverse?
The market trades using algorithms using these technical indicators.
It positive news to change the trend.
Excuse typos as on mobile device outside but difficult to see the positives without news which I don’t expect?
I was bullish as I hoped with a bid and a period of due diligence THG could have proved a safe harbour in a storm but sadly the opposite has proved to be the case.
Something more than one brokers not is required to stabilise things.
But just my opinion.
Rock8 you are looking at technical indicators that you have found on the internet. Think outside of the box a little. If you are fully into technical I get that you are short minded and can't see more than the chart in front of you and struggle to see what caused the chart to reflect the economy etc try to give it a go. Anyway since you brought up charts and don't want to look at actual the actual business look at what the charts are showing in the bigger picture. There is strong support and gaps being closed to the upside. The markets are clearly oversold and always oversell ahead of any kind of recession. The risk is therefore to the upside from here even if you say until the summer is out, there is no downside rather it is upside. You should probably learn more about economics my friend and trading patterns and not simply look for others analysis.
I actually have watched a video which confirmed the same thoughts as I had last night. I will find it and post it shortly.
Do your own research by all means but I can’t find anything positive anywhere.
Last we we got a short bounce due to one broker report - we had a trading bounce.
Short positions are now increasing not reducing.

The last one is the most favourable and is a short term trading indicator but otherwise it looks weak at the moment.
If there is no news until September that is a long time in these markets.
The US VIX ( measures volatility) is still high at over 28.5 despite Friday’s rise.
If we are in a bear market we can expect further severe drops followed by swallower bounces?
How things have changed so quickly.
I am going to wait the summer out without more positive evidence.
But DYOR
He doesn’t know what he means Manch.
“ I want to be positive but it’s difficult when the CEO of the company I own shares in is beating me over the head with a baseball bat.”
After you Matt.
Rock 8. What do you mean by "The technicals supporting the share price are still extremely weak" please?
You could be right but I will need more evidence that things are going to improve.
I will hold what I still have a see what happens next?
The technicals supporting the share price are still extremely weak and it could well drop further especially if the US Markets drop again?
I suspect we will hear nothing until the September update but I hope to be proved wrong.
Let’s hope we get a more balanced debate in the future on this BB.
Problem is Rock8 that you was negative (justifiably) at a significantly higher price and now you are not taking into account that the downside risk is simply not there any longer. I agreed with you previously but you now are not listening to both sides of the debate and simply have a chip on your shoulder with MM and are not thinking about the economics and you are coming across as a troll.
Anyway try thinking about opening your own mind to "debate" and not being so one sided as price action always negates certain negatives.
Your chip against MM is actually valid in a lot of points but you need to remember that MM started and brought this company into existence to where it is now loads of revenue, growth and variety of products. MMs vision is clearly better than yours otherwise you would be a billionaire running a global company, keep that in mind above all that perhaps he knows more about the bigger picture than you.
Downside risk at the minute is simply not there, offers at higher value a multiple of where THG is now tells you that much.
Whenever I think I am being positive / negative about a company I always try to put myself in the opposite mindset and try to workout where the plus / negatives could be that I am missing, I suggest you do the same, then buy in the morning.
Yes I take your point.
But I would argue that that neither Jobs, Zuckerberg nor Gates were so loathed by Wall St or indeed behaved is such a manor that undermined the company’s share price?
MM has done a fine job bringing the company to market but I don’t think he has the abilities required to run a Public Company.
Maybe he should step back into running the company behind the scenes but hand over to a new CEO who has the abilities required to lead a PLC.
Let’s be frank do you the share price will ever recover with MM as CEO? - What will change?
PIs often blame everything on manipulation when things don’t work out?
Maybe the explanation is rather simpler?
Short traders exploit poor leadership.
Discussion boards are about debate.
Why are we even interacting with this clown. Put them on filter.
@Rock8 - I disagree. Facebook / Meta / whatever they call themselves these days would be less of a company with Zuckerberg, the same as Microsoft was without Gates and Apple without Jobs.
The THG story/ success (to date) has been created by the entrepreneurial drive and vision of MM.
Yes - I agree he has a habit of putting his foot in his mouth when dealing with the city / the press and it's not a good look when your mother has to stand up for you .... But THG would be a lesser company without MM.
So, for me, long may MM remain so that he can execute on the delivery of his company vision and, therefore, delivery in shareholder value to all of us.
Trenners
I want to be positive but it’s difficult when the CEO of the company I own shares in is beating me over the head with a baseball bat.
Why Is he repeatedly doing that?
He needs to relinquish control to someone else or change rapidly.
Rock i totally agree
Where is ou
Well, the published short positions are considerably higher than prior to the bid announcements. BR, Qube, MW have a strong record regarding retail short positions. They’re also likely to know more than us mere mortals here.
Long-term should be fine - as they tend to have a short-term view - but in the meantime and in the absence of a bid, the advent of these positions shouldn’t be dismiss out of hand.
As for Rock, well my own view is the account does seem overly negative but all views should be welcome - no one has to take notice. I was bearish on QPP years ago and was continuously dismissed out of hand and eventually turned away from my own instincts, ended up I was right but still lost £11k. Now, I welcome all views. Although, I follow my own instincts (which aren’t always right but they are mine).
He needs to start treating PIs with respect.
His behaviour has caused this recent turbulence and continued share price decline.
I realise that oddly some on this board (I filter them) worship him but he needs to remember he is accountable to all the shareholders not just the chosen ones.
Give it a rest Boix/Rock and to all the de ramping aliases you have on here and ADVFN
MM is a very wealthy man and your constant jibes at him don't serve us well on this board, so either shut up once and for all and be privileged to buy at this SP which is a rare gift
Or
Simply take a trip on the high road - one way street where we do not need to listen to all the tripe and dissing you've been throwing at MM and THG
You are one demonic fiend
Just take a note and bugger off
