Sp - why don’t you wait and see how this plays out before you slam me for being able to value this business. When I thought that this company was over valued I put a short on and now i think it’s cheap I have gone long . Look at my other posting history been trading in and out of easyJet also short and long . I have said how I think this plays out and let’s see shall we before you slam someone for not having you train of thought . I currently have a long decent size derivative position spread bet with IG and CMC . My average is 134p as I have increased in the last few days because I do think a deal will be done , I just donot buy this nonsense that the price will be over £2.75 and that this company should be £5. I do however think it’s a strong buy at this level even if a deal doesn’t happen . Yes Numis put out a stupid sell article and reported themselves for it but that article and bad press doesn’t make the share price get smashed by iis . Like I have said previously if this share was worth it’s float price why did KKR the most successful pe firm sell their whole stake wouldn’t they stay in for the ride up and up and up . That is why I put a short on if the biggest investor thinks it’s overvalued at the float then that’s a red flag . Good luck all and I do hope THg hits your lofty valuation as I would make a fortune but I just cannot see it myself . My opinion good luck all
No one’s an expert here. Short or long, we’re all in the hands of others. One thing I would say - the people who believe In the value of this company will either be taken out by an offer or if not, continue to hold shares, Which will be worth a heck of a lot more in years to come. Derampers will not be able to convince them to part with their shares, no matter what.
“ Clearly many of the new posters have jumped on the takeover rumours, and are now so called experts with very limited knowledge about the business”
The irony of this coming from the guy who blow his load over signing FMCG firms and then when present with other fails says it’s waffle

"I would like to know why people think the market has been unkind to Thg more so than any other company"
Got few mins as footy is delayed ;)
2 examples for you why there is a clear 'short & distort' agenda against THG. FACTS, wont even give you my views, can just see from the source itself!!!!

Clear damage is done, with no recompense or accountability.
I'v personally not come across many occurrences like this in any other company, hence why most LTH's clearly state there has been MASSIVE MANIPULATION!
Sorry double post accidentally.
This board, like pretty much all the others, is infested with people obsessively hammering an agenda, paid for in some cases, and realising their personal dreams (fantasies in some cases) in others.
People posting all day, every day is an immediate red flag to me. My advice is not to ever trust these boards for advice and simply filter those who keep posting and reposting the same thing every 20 minutes. And good luck to all. Here's to profit. That's why we're here.
£3-4, this is a different world to 1 year ago, but still enough people know the true value of this company is much more then the current SP, even the potential buy out price, the future is multiples from here, 10 years from now $$$$$$
Apart from those who keep bleating on at 2.50….. what’s others genuine opinions of what price this will be taken off at ?

Gmb Q: about the IPO price
IPO price of any plc is set by the demand for shares at thar time. So clearly that was what many was prepared to pay!!!
@Goldy I get your point and it probably will go for £2.50 ish IF it’s taken private but in fairness around £4 would still only give a valuation of two times sales or there abouts.
Compared to the other growth stocks you mention that is still as cheap as chips. Dyor
Goldmanbaby
Couldn’t have put it better myself.
Those are my exact sentiments but I am not as eloquent as you.
But you have summed up my thoughts exactly.
All the LTHs who are long much higher up, who keep talking about how the share price was once £8 and fair value should be 10X revenue, etc. will have to eventually realise that all that is completely irrelevant to where we are now. MM takes this private for £2.50!
I have been reading a lot of the comments on here and just want to ask a few questions. As I have said before I have been trading Thg short and long from 6.20 down to 1.50 and then 70p to now . I would like to know why people think the market has been unkind to Thg more so than any other company . The market is the market and the market sets the price . All this negative campaign to pull the share price down I just don’t buy . Quite frankly the banks and advisors should be ashamed of themselves for letting MM press ahead with a valuation at £5 to start with . That valuation was a joke and was always going to get battered . The 2.50 price that I have said is nothing to do with a conspiracy it’s what I personally value the business at and so have many others . The well respected analyst publication said to short Thg when it was £6 and put a valuation of 2.50 way back in August 2021 . Growth companies can no longer be valued on a high multiple of turnover like before look at some of the bellwethers like meta,Amazon,Netflix et. they have been smashed also . I personally do think MM has had a rough ride with the media being jealous and I do admire him as an entrepreneur but I also think that this is a great opportunity for him to take this private at a discount to the float , look good compared to his mates indicative bids and then hold the private company for a year or so then repeat the trick in the states where he will get a better valuation. Any poster on here that has a pop at anyone who puts a lower valuation needs to give their head a shake as that’s what makes a market and it’s all on opinions and timing . Good luck all and as I say I would love all the fairy numbers of £4-£5 come true as I would make a fortune. It I am a realist and at the moment Thg is not worth those lofty figures . My opinion
Didnt dis anybody, come on now!
Some posters have said *themselves* (funnily enough) they dont know anything about the company, bought in on the takeover rumours, yet like to express views which then make no sense, posting complete misinformation, thats all.
Calling out comments like 'times have changed, 2018 takeover offer of £4 Billion is now pointless' LOL, without realising and refusing to acknowledge the company itself has MASSIVELY transformed since IPO! From 2018, not even going to go there, it's probably like 10x plus bigger and more accomplished on many metrics!
Good luck to all genuine holders.
Busy all week, lets see where we are COP wednesday!
DYOR
Sp28 it is incredibly undervalued, but this is because of the city, because someone had an agenda to swoop in and nick it. I would have preferred to hold this for ever to see where it went in 5/10 years.
Problem is the takeover talk. If it’s as good as we all believe then I’m sure the right buyer will come in and pay the correct amount - granted, it may not be what we believe it should be worth (either now or in the future), that’s out of our hands. I just think we’ve got to put faith in MM. I know there’s a chance he might nick it for a low price (following all bids) if there’s no competition, but those are the fortunes of war and ultimately what the market says it’s worth. Anyway here’s hoping we’re all on the right side of this. Now back to my chianti!
Clearly many of the new posters have jumped on the takeover rumours, and are now so called experts with very limited knowledge about the business, and quickly want it to move up to the magical £2.50 and then out they go! In for a quick buck!
Others here change their views like the wind, day traders, we know who they are!!!
I have been one of the very few bulls that have been making detailed points for months now since 85-90p days, detailing exactly why THG is chronically massively undervalued. Good luck to all GENUINE holders who saw the massive opportunity under £1, patience will be hugely rewarded. (Even at this price its a joke).
One way or another its going private. Adios.
He hasn’t stated he’ll take £2.50 a share. It’s been quoted, but I think he’s got more on his mind than coming out and declaring he hasn’t said it. Not sure he’s allowed to say it as it puts shareholders at a disadvantage by potentially telling bidders where they need to be.
Ask Binky Bot for a t-shirt Kira.
LD1973 I agree with your post 100%.
It makes a pleasant change to read a well thought out, relevant, coherent post.
Most the posts recently bleat on about how some company was sold for X times revenue, a few years back, which makes our fair value £8-£12 and we should hold out for at least that.We IPO’d for X amount. Blah blah blah
I don’t disagree with your points SP. I agree it’s worth a lot more than todays value when the business can prove cash and profits are coming (which they aren’t yet - you keep focused on revenue)
But just silly points like “follow the money” are dumb and discredit the other more sensible points you make.
It’s waffle. Like your “signed up 5 FMCGs” yet you haven’t a scooby what that means in terms of revenue, products, services, contract length etc
You just get all excited over silly points
Just chill
Goldy
Yep he's sticking two finger up to the city scum and I agree he will sell.He isn't going to let the SP be unfairly smashed again
MM is not doing this to get the share price up temporarily- he knows if there’s no acceptable offer, this will get matched back down again. He’s doing this before his golden share expires, because once that’s gone he knows he’s at the mercy of the city (and we all know how this share has been treated by them). So, IMO, this is definitely going, just what price? The one thing going in our favour is this is a best bids scenario. Anyone who wants this might have to offer more than they’d like because once it’s gone, it’s gone. At the end of the day, like water, the market will find its own level - let’s just hope it’s a flood!
SP - there is little point referring to a story that is over 3 years old - "FACT".
"The world has moved on"
***AND SO HAS THG*** LOL There is a BIG poimt to make!!!!
Somehow you fudsters think the whole world has changed, but 'somehow' THG remains the same since IPO/4 years ago! Any of you £2.50 crewe want to elaborate on the progress/growth since IPO, yep thought not!!!
IT'S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COMPANY NOW!
Will give you 3 very simple reasons for now...
Since IPO:
£900M+ Acquisitions since IPO (Pericone MD - $60 million, Dermstore - $350 million, THG nutrition acq - £59.5 million, Brighter Foods - £43 million,
Bentley Laboratories - $255m, Cult Beauty - £275 million)
Hundreds of millions spent on IT and Infrastructure
Revenue growth from £1.1 Billion in 2020 to est £2.7 Billion in 2022 - 145% increase
SP - there is little point referring to a story that is over 3 years old - "FACT". The world has moved on.
There is a good chance that THG will be taken over at a healthy premium (hooray!). There is also a chance that it won't be any time soon (boo!). Let's face it, we're not the cleverest people on the planet and we don't have all the information available to insiders. So let's not denigrate people whose views may differ from our own.
I’m short at all. Just you keep spurting absolute rubbish and rainbows. Calm down it’s boring now and clogs up the board
That article is years old and they aren’t offering it now so it’s relevant
Just calm down with your childish rubbish
