That's another 3.5m in big buys today add to 3.2m other day its around 4% of free float gone
This is good news. PIs passing shares in big chunks to UIs and disappearing fast.
Shortly the stubborn remaining LTH won't budge and price will rocket
Just wait
Whake investors buying chairman buying IIs increasing. Just the daft PIs selling into this
Sorry, its 12 months, this area is quite complex so only a guide, often there's another rule which overrides the first.
''Requirement for particular forms of consideration: If any shares are acquired during the offer period for cash, or 10% or more were acquired for cash during the preceding 12 months, the offer must be in cash (or include a cash alternative) at not less than the highest price paid during the offer period and the preceding 12 months.''

HH, lol
Didn't Sofina purchase stock in the last six months, if so this would almost certainly trigger the 12 month price rule if part of a consortium.
edit: which is currently ..wait for it......6.18p (ish)

I suspect Allen has told MM that right now he needs to be ruthless with every single cost in the business....identify and measure everything ...target every cost right down to the water bill and stationary orders
Allen most likely wont have traded on any insider knowledge that is price sensitive....but...he may well be of the opinion that Candy etc will be back once market conditions improve and any bids can get the financing backing from bank lenders....which is proving more difficult right now
Boom I don't think such a price is possible. Firstly I believe if Sofina were part of the buyout then under the takeover rule the price would have to be minimum around 190p until late November because thats when/where sofina bought last nov.
There would be a huge stigma around MM and THG making it hard to ever list any part of the business again. Even more so it followed them saying £1.70 significantly undervalues the company.
Boom - if Thg is taken private it will be for over 1.70 . The board cannot turn down that offer and accept lower they would lose a court case for a start but also there would be a couple of big holders who may not roll over so they would stand their ground in my opinion . Also if MM takes it private he would need an exit plan for a few years ie float in the states . The us market would not take anybody seriously who Shafted shareholders . If this goes private it goes for 2-2.50 or it stays public and the numbers will do the talking . Let’s face it at these levels it’s a no brainer in my mind because of the current board and management don’t get the share price up with good numbers and strategy then a bid will come from private equity once growth stocks are back in focus . All my opinion
RICH - it’s in relation to the debate about how MM and the ‘consortium’ may treat PI’s that’s all.
I am 100% invested here and you will see from all my previous posts I do not ‘de-ramp’ but thought this was worth sharing just as a bit of history.

8 years ago Court case about my protein ?
Should we bring up dirt an every company if they doing well or bad don't hear for example about BP oil spillage years ago do you anymore
Pointless
Knowbody - I absolutely hope it won’t happen and I have stated many times I am a LTH (albeit leveraged it is still my own money to lose).
I also don’t care about the day to day movements too much as long as I can maintain my position.
I resolutely stand with all LTH here and want/hope for the best outcome for us all ‘little guys’.
Just airing a thought for debate that’s all.
Cookson vs THG
Another link with some more detail:
https://amp.theguardian.com/technology/2020/sep/04/hut-group-cancelled-2011-flotation-after-multimillion-pound-was-uncovered
MM has some form on deals:
https://www.thebusinessdesk.com/northwest/news/678994-court-battle-for-the-hut-and-cookson-over-myprotein-deal
Hut ‘won’ the case but Cookson walked away with £7.5m in legal fees and damages.
Come on Boom, you know that simply can't happen.
It's amazing how sentiment changes here after a few red days. It is a win, win situation however you choose to invest here. LTHs have a chance to grab really cheap shares, whilst traders can take advantage of the swings - even shorter sellers are having their day. There's not really much to complain about really.
My gripe isn't the price movements - that's on me, if I fail to take advantage of them. No my gripe is the lack of communication re the strategy. This seems to me to be very important follow the BOD's rejection of bids at what are now quite considerable premiums to the current share price. I think they were right to do so, but I would now like to know more about what the future holds and they are most certainly in the best position to tell us. CA has given us a strong indication yesterday, but these guys get this stuff wrong all the time - one need only look at McDonald - both here and in BOO - wrong, and wrong again (so far), so no, I want transparency please.
Simple he's said himself 1.79 undervalued it so he won't get away with that
Plus alot of PIs will be friends and colleagues mulube employees.
Hrs finishednif he does s that
But every action shows its not his character wither both from what I know and public domain
It won't happen he's on a mission to get way above 1.70
The free float will be so small MM will pay a good price just to stick two fingers up to the market
Not being a Debbie downer but why does everyone think the remaining free float (mainly is PI’s) will be offer a premium like £3 ?
Surely the big boys who have been shafting us for months will convince MM to offer say £1 a share and rail road it through??
Can someone tell me I am way off the mark and this is not possible?
Looking more and more like a possible option with in house buys and big II taking up shares. Was it around 14% the free float did I remember seeing ?
Looks like a consortium will be talking this private as PIs **** themselves and hand over their shares for peanuts
Could be Licker...MM/Softbank/Sofina gets the company cheap plus MM not remembered for fleecing investors (so less issues with a potential future US listing) coz he can offer a decent premium due to the remainder of the float getting sufficiently small.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see a reduction in one of the shorts. Past experience tells me when we have a tight range throughout the day and a large buy pops up this tends to happen. Let’s see.
How much of the free float is left now. Its diminishing fast!!
Who is the big buyer?
This is being privatised by stealth
At some point they will be a tiny free float left and with the other IIs stating in it would would not cost much to delist pay the remainder 3 quid plus fir not alot total cost and they are orivate again
This must be the cheapest way of MM achieving his objectives and he gets stupidly cheap stock being snapped up on open market. Just the final few PIs to buy out but they would have to pay a big premium
Impeccably flawless performance by the MM's/bots/algos today. The control they have is truly unbelievable.
Held between 78-80p for 8.5 hours, only for a £2.4m buy to crop up in auction LMAO
Isn't it a 2.9 million share buy?
Could be Sir Chas averaging down after a day already :)
..but plenty of upside potential.
