@Hawfinch
Couldn't remember whether it was you or ocean!
I don't know anything about the company - other than what it sells and its ever decreasing popularity and sales.
But I wish you luck with your short there!
this share is getting squeezed so tight its gonna pop one day.
anything over a 5,000 buy is a big buy today.
could do with some BIG buys to sweep up the weak holders.
markets weak today.
Yes, I saw that and was thinking the same thing.
Interestingly, someone on the negative side of the fence here previously made a comparison between the two. Let us hope their comparison is borne out!
Hope this does that one day soon - even if gradually
Clothes sales down is to be expected - and the figures were for June. We've since had more easing of the lock-down and more people returning to work / life etc... Also, TED has concessions elsewhere in the world, which may be fairing better (or worse).
This is good value, IMO and there appears to be strong support at 75p.
Clothes sales struggling...but as it says on the inside of me Ted Baker belt...in Ted we trust!! M
"A competitor would only buy it out of administration. It's in far too weak a shape."
That ship has sailed my friend and it's picking up steam as we speak.
Close your short and jump aboard, before it gets to the next port!
I think Boohoo would be interested in the TED brand and perhaps were hoping TED would fail so they could snap it up from admin. However, they've also missed that chance, but perhaps they'll keep an eye on progress and swoop in at a later date.
We can but hope!
blue finish surely. 79p+ paid into close.
BIG push now ted. 15mins trading time left. blue skies above!!
look at all those AT buys. 78.75p paid. told you 77p was a good buy.
oceanpassage - explain how it's in too weak a position to get bought out? genuine request - I'm interested.
Do you work in finance? intrigued about your insight here - be good to hear.
go on my son! 78.34p paid.
FTSE 250 flat today. finish blue would be a good result.
To me I think of Casual Dining Group - a big business with fantastic brands like Cafe Rouge & Bella Italia - shopped by millions of customers. Now into administration. They have a good brand but we're in a bad financial spot and the market moved against them. Competitors are queuing up to buy a stake in those brands as they remain valuable. To me this is how I see Ted collapsing.
BIG push now ted. gives a blue finish.
78.20p to buy. missed your chance to join the longs ocean. 77p to buy was a good op.
not much volume. easy for a short seller to take this down on small AT trades isn't that right ocean?
77p to buy. expect a bounce from here. well lets see.
A competitor would only buy it out of administration. It's in far too weak a shape.
this isn't going into admin - much more likely it'll get bought by someone like boo
just click the link whenever ocean posts..

" No view opposes this"
during a boom no one ever thinks a bust will ruin the party ...and during a bust people lose faith that the good times can ever return ...
it is raining and you have no hope of the sun coming back...fair enough...well move along then ...
you are beginning to sound like a broken record
