markets are still a bit fragile despite gains in recent days..so it is no suprise some take profits , and hope others do the same, so that they can hop back on board further down....
People are still looking to treat themselves in these uncertain times...but improved online isnt enough ..they do still need store shoppers too, which will probably get better into september /october when i would expect the covid cases to have peaked ....
Exceeding expectations - stocks TED.
Also points towards TED's online operations continuing to do well.
Well the FTSE 100 is nearly 1% up, so I don't think there's a market wide drop. Most of the shares I follow have had steady gains this week despite the ostensible impending 'doom'.
I take your point that it's not very likely, one would presume it's just as simple as seeking a good return on their investment. I was surprised not to see a holdings RNS after yesterday's action.
Time to hoover up a few more shares if you have the spare cash, official announcement that we are indeed in a recession has caused a largely market wide drop. Provided this government stays true to its word (lol) and doesn't resort to austerity we could see a quick recovery, especially if there is a stimulus package to get people spending again. Don't kneejerk sell!

Knowbodyyouknow,
Yeah..I guess if they did, they might put in an offer as part of a consortium, or maybe a consortium would offer to buy Tosca out ...who knows ...but yes ..never say never ..anything is possible
For example:
https://news.sky.com/story/talktalk-rejected-135p-a-share-bid-from-major-investor-toscafund-12037466
I don't think they would personally want to run the company, necessarily - but they do have a history of takeovers, yes.
TOSCA is loading up still ..with an eye to a take over bid, perhaps?
Tosca are Asset Managers who run various funds - why would they want to take ownership of TED ?
I would suggest they merely invest at undervalue prices and offer advise to the BOD and believe they will get a good return on their investment ...at the moment they are probably topping up to average down, having bought at higher prices previously and waiting for a retail/economic recovery
..but takeover ? ...personally I dont think so...
Yes - it's possible we'll see an RNS following up these last 2 days buying. I wonder whether TOSCA is loading up still ..with an eye to a take over bid, perhaps?
Who knows.
Not complaining; although shame I didn't go through with my purchase earlier. Will hold onto the cash and try again at the end of the week, I think.
Doesn't look like it's curving down to me. It still looks strong and the rise is driven by extremely high volume.
It could even reach 100 today at this rate. I think the management have done fairly well with selling the HQ, rights issue and the focus on online sales. Ted's brand is favourably recognised and they are in a positive cash position. I think the recent fall was hedge funds and their friends buggering around rather than investors selling. This is a good long term hold that should reward the patient.
I dont think so this time.
There's a perfect storm of data coming through now that appears to support a 'V' shaped recovery. I'd be surprised if this doesn't hit £1 this week.
Still very cheap when you look at its future growth prospect of successful change of sale models and increasing revenues and profits.
I see SP will be rewarding in big ways for the patient investors.
Holding strong here
GLH
It will retrace over the next few days I fear.
Ted still going strong. Volume is over 2.5m at 10.00am Somebody wants Ted, I think we should be on an upward trajectory now as 100 is in sight.
Wonder what happened to downbutnotout
I meant 'bet', not 'sure'. If I was sure, then I would have carried through with my convictions.
Going to leave it.
Sure it's the wrong decision.
I've made a few of them recently.
Haven't lost anything, but missed out on a couple of rises.
It is a quandary but todays volume of 860,000 before 9.00am is encouraging.
On the Titanic...
Good point re shorts closing / funds adding .
I'm tempted to add myself, but remain cautious because of the wild swings in price. I also, don't like adding on the back of a 20% rise over 2 days, when there may be a pullback.
Quandary.
Where is Oceanpassage today?
Another good rise this morning. Hopefully we should get to a more sensible figure of over 100 soon. I wonder if this rise is on the back of shorts closing or funds adding or perhaps a combination of the two...
Bet a few glad they took the call now :)
