hopefully its just the start of a reversal and keeps on going.
"keeping quiet. dont want to jinx the rise."
I will then.
I think this is 'it'.
Quite how high and sustained the jump is another matter, however.
keeping quiet. dont want to jinx the rise.
Come on ted turn green you can do it!
Should see a rise to Above the placing 75p -towards £1-£120 fair value shops opening , optimism over a vaccine
Online sales increasing
Markets increasing
Yes buys coming back in now looks like heading north
65.45p paid. retrace over hopefully!
some sells at 64p. hopefully up from here.
64.95 on bid currently
Looks like it’s filled The gap should see bounce from here looks like the time to buy
"ocean you need to look longer term. business will be loss making this year. so yes there will be cash burn."
Agreed and it's pretty much priced in now.
VAT changes on eating out and hotels kick in soon. I suspect that will help increase TED's online sales at least.
Would be interesting to know how much revenue their overseas concessions - like in New Zealand and the US - generate. Likely to be documented in the annual report I guess.
slow start. but holding onto yesterday's gains so far!
the brand is worth something. don't rule out a takeover. who knows maybe TED can acquire more good shop locations and over the next 12 months there may be many ops. for the business to grow that way.
No - you need to. I have already sold. You are obviously priced in at a loss you are not prepared to accept. Which is why you can't accept the writing on the wall. Never want to be right. It costs too much.
DOW closed up over 500 pts.
ocean you need to look longer term. business will be loss making this year. so yes there will be cash burn.
The 75p price isn't issued so people will buy them it's because that's what the company will be worth after issue, with a premium on offer for immediately selling them. The cash raised for operating costs is essentially dead money. Wake up.
TED army is looking for new recruits! just posted on the BOO board. hopefully get some newcomers here tomorrow.
Q4 2019 SP 400p. 44.59m * 4.00 = 178.36mcap
today 184.5m shares in issue * 0.67 = 123.6m mcap. less the 105m raised = 18.6m
so taking off the fund raise the shares are at almost a 90% discount. or one tenth of what they were in Q4 2019.
nice rally on wall street. FTSE futures pointing to higher open.
new shares are always issued at a discount so there is enough take up of the offer. usually what happens if the SP falls when a TI is announced. some people may tail swallow - sell some of their shares to fund purchase of the cheaper new ones. then when the RI is all done and dusted the SP usually recovers some if not all of its loss. so i don't buy what you say that all the shares are only worth the placing price of 75p.
The ted get growth formula I believe specifically recognises close to a 25% sales drop Vs previous trading period. Online sales are a relatively small revenue stream, if you read their latest profit release it's on there. All of the shares are worth 75p. Not just the new ones that's. How a rights issue works. And that trading period was much more profitable than the next one will be. There will be a major revenue slow down. Do no you can't argue a 90p valuation
ocean you fail to mention a few positives
-Ted’s Formula for Growth strategy supported by the recapitalisation. better operations, product lines etc.
-online revenue is strong. how much a % of total revenue this is i don't know. can someone post please. Online sales have risen by 78% year on year since 22 March, the day before the UK lockdown began.
-significant cost reductions.
-£30.7m profit a year before last. a taste of what can be achieved in the future.
before the fund raising SP was 153p
44.59m * 1.53 = 68.22m mcap
140m new shares at 75p £105m raised.
so 68.22 + 105 = 173.22m should be the mcap now? we can argue about that. but lets take that number for now.
173.22 / 184.5m shares in issue = 93.88p
so you could argue fair value is 94p per share.
then we have the news about sale of ugly brown building. was that factored into the 153p SP before the raise?
and as for the directors of the company they did they job be getting the highest valuation possible for the rights issue. its their job. not suprised a performance related decline in share price. nor should any of us. x
thank you for your compliments. I will accept them. but I am afraid I generally call it as I see it an offer little compassion for others feelings. I do care a lot about making good decisions. as do we all. If i have failed you in some way KSH i am sorry.
If only the Directors of this company consulted with you personally before investing thousands of pounds at 75p. Really cross about this. Buy hey, such is life.
Oceanpassage you are a savior of private investors across the globe. In fact I'd go a step further - a guardian angel.
