Many thanks TroytoTiber for GDR. Nice rise of 48% today! My main concerns about GDR are it will be 7 weeks behind from today before coming to market when NCYT are already selling in 80 countries and the clever thing about choosing YGEN as one of their manufacturing partners is that they are a subsidiary of Vialogy, an American outfit in whom I invested in the past. With the next epi-centre forecast to be USA so I am sure patriotism will play a big part in generating big sales for them both as believe it or not USA do not have an outfit making test kits for COVID-19. I will keep an eye out for GDR no doubt about it.
I think you and me have similar thoughts on SYM.
Have a look at Genedrive also Sharehuzzarski if you are assessing providers of SARS Cov 2 test kits. A bit behind the competition timeline wise with a test kit 7 weeks away from market but a very strong heritage with point of care device already developed giving much greater options to apply to clinical care settings. Also, the business case is based on bio defence, TB, HCV and AIHL. SARS Cov 2 a very new string to the bow.
I still like SYM for longer term d2p and d2w applications, especially if anti viral properties for d2p are established. additives for materials used for high touch point items in healthcare premises, workplaces and in the home etc globally could amount to a very decent business unit not to mention the opportunities around FDA approval in anti-bacteria and anti-fungal packaging.
Shareh, fair comment. As you quite rightly point out, shares investment is there to make money so a profit is money in the bank. At the mo, cash seems to be king and probably a wee bit of gold and/or precious metals!
I do believe that the the FDA approval will herald a marked improvement in contracts with a rerate due. Anything to do with Biotechs, pharma's etc seem to be the buzz for obvious reasons.
OXO42. With the greatest respect I had well over 400k of SYM shares averaging just over 9p so was in nice profit when selling at lower 20s but regrettably left a small lump which I sold this morning but still at a profit albeit a lot smaller than had I got rid with the main lot. I am very fully aware of SYM's range of produce but as an investor have decided to put SYM on the back burner due to COVID-19 which proved to be the right thing to do because in 4 weeks I have doubled my money and during the same time SYMs value has halved. Investing in shares is NOT about staying faithful to one, it's about making money SURELY!!! If not, then I would suggest keeping monies in the bank or if very mildly brave have a go on the premium bonds. Had a close look at outfits developing the vaccine but decided against investing as there are over 40 of them rightly keeping info close to their chests but even the bravest of forecasters is saying 18 months before a suitable one is found and by the time it is fully tested, approved, organised manufacture then distribution it could be 3 years. So that is why I decided to go in for specialist companies providing approved testing kits. At the last view NCYT up 23%+ & YGEN up 8%+ today. As far as I am concerned SYM's products will be important but unfortunately not at this moment in time for me.
AND, House hold gloves, examination gloves with a huge order in co with a Malaysion Rubber, Latex glove producer now to include d2p in the mix before production starts, without any alteration, in production at all, at all. Carrier bags for life that carry fresh, raw meat, chicken sausage, veg, soiled nappies from the beach, etc if protected with d2p by the producer. Return to the shop, supermarket for another, handled in stores for recycling, without d2p. a compulsory legislation to outlaw returnable carrier bags for life, ( that are 10 times thicker, unprotected and not recyclable ?) if not recyclable or without d2p. makes sense to m, it will protect the shopping public. End of.. cheers.
ps, d2p gloves, food, bread, veg n fruit plastic wrap, door knobs n handrails, light switch's, phones, laptop keyboards, children's fire ******ant clothes, night dresses,, plastic toys, curtains, tiles, hospital operation equipment, entrance and exit door, foyer mats, floor tiles, protective screens at supermarket cash checkouts, all daily contacts with COVID-19 and our hands, including d2p plastic money, notes, credit cards, etc once again, read the present and past RNS although infrequent, you can also email SYM, as I have over a very long time. + The BBC may have to cover the financial loss entirely down to a programme detrimental and entirely proven as false. Compensation will be imo, due very soon. imho. cheers.
shareshuzzarski, As SYM manufacture little, just additives, that they supply to PPE, with the d2p etc, (designed 2 protect) masks, gowns, plastic manufacturers, in China, USA, Saudi Arabia, UK, Europe and over 100 manufacturers under licence. This means only additives are transported and these through licenced distributors, Agents ie: Chinese Plastics of the Peoples Republic with a 20 year distribution agreement signed in 2012 ?. Having PPI without built in scientifically proven protection against infection, or without d2p, possibly = to a boiler suit, or bib n brace.
I would very much doubt with COVID-19 about anyone would put a priority on most of SYMs offerings for the next 12 months at the very least. Started to sell my holding 4 weeks ago with my last small lump going this morning for 12.1p. Gone into companies who will be in vogue & doing the bizz for a while, NCYT & YGEN who are into testing kits for the horrible virus and their shares have done very nicely as they have orders & counting for over £19m worth so far from 80 countries incl. uk. Last week they had emergency approval off FDA to supply the USA.
Will be keeping an eye on SYM but not just yet
hinukami, ("I'm worried because of what happened to nano and FDA only covers america not the world esp. Asia. they can copy it, sell it and i think no one will know")
USA had a population of 327 million in 2018, one designed 2 protect toilet seat for every 2 Americans, one pair of latex d2p gloves for every 4th American, 1 toothbrush for every 4th American, 10 metres of d2p fresh water supply pipes for every 25 Americans, the hospital, dental, funeral, nursing and Doctors d2p masks, gowns, laboratory equipmet, floor tiles, work bench tops, handrails, entrance, foyer, and exit d2p mats for schools, unis, all premises. etc, etc, SYM have a distribution contract, for 20 years singed in 2012 ? with the China Plastic Peoples Republic, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Middle East. Pakistan Airlines, pipe contracts and in over 100 countries world wide.
DYOR, Buy, sell, or hold. Read the RNS box above this page, all contracts are listed. cheers, I hope this helps. :~) :#(
Coronavirus 'can' be transmitted through toilet water, scientists claim. Stanford Univercity. Report in Daily Mirror.
d2p Toilet Seats, on sale now and have been for a number of years.Symphony designed to protect (d2p) toilet seats are in the protection of health business.
Flash in the pan discovery.
im not deramping. im only saying it is possible.
i bought shares on this company last year and not sold any.
this company has massive potential and could be game changer in this plastic world.
Im worried because of what happened to nano and FDA only covers america not the world esp. Asia. they can copy it, sell it and i think no one will know.
By virtue of the Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act (21 USC 348(h)(2)(C)) this approval is effective only for Symphony and does not include any similar or identical substance manufactured or prepared by a company or person other than Symphony.
i hope the Chinese are not stealing trade secret. they are capable of doing just that.
RNS from a few weeks back stated SYM were taking Chinese news presenters around their labs in order to spread the word of this cutting-edge product. Exciting times ahead, expecting news of contracts / C-19 update / Further implications any day now.
Whats their PR like? do the gov know of SYM I wonder...lol
and the recent FDA approval I think we have good chance of breaching out into many different areas with our technology in a addition to the existing
and yes gloves would be a good start in current circumstances, maybe some news soon on that front?
Government should be all over them trying to get their gloves at least. Would like to see some news flow.
Again showing the huge scope of products that need SYM's additives.
Been waiting for the next stage..
Go check ARDN for a spread. Should have been a Market Maker
Anyone any idea if sym are all over this for their ppe equipment?? No need for proper mhra or ce Mark classification to get our product snapped up right now!!
Only 12%, it's not that bad. This is one of the shares with a lot of promise longer term.
Spread 12%. A little high ? 1.5p.? On every share. ??
