The Sirius boss received strong support from existing investors.
Existing investors have wholeheartedly backed Sirius Minerals PLC's financing plans (LON:SXX) by taking up their full allocation in the open offer portion of the mine developer’s fundraising.
The North Yorkshire-focused group said it received acceptances for just over 185mln shares.
Chief executive Chris Fraser said: "I would like to thank our shareholders for their continuing support and playing their part in this important moment in the Company's history. It has always been our intention to make this provision available and it's good to see so many existing shareholders taking part.”
Leah Swain revealed as the new chief executive of Sirius Minerals Foundation
Making a tangible difference to people’s lives by supporting individuals, groups and whole communities to identify their own vision for change and to achieve that by using their existing strengths, skill and knowledge has been my driving purpose throughout my career.
She forgotten to mention the former 85 thousand Sirius minerals share holders who got kicked out for 5.5 pence a share.. WE GOT YOU YOUR NEW ROLE DIDN'T WE.
Post’s about Robert Jenrick meeting with Israeli billionaire Idan Ofer get removed very quickly, they say the truth hurts but it’s not going to go away.
Thanks for the bad day.
After the disastrous conclusion to the company's stock market run, the remuneration committee chaired by former Business Secretary Lord Hutton decided in March that Fraser's share bonuses should pay out in full.
Fraser received payment for his bonus shares, worth nearly £900,000, in April, the company's annual report filed on Companies House reveals. Most of the shares had been awarded to him in 2018 and 2019.
He also received a £417,000 performance bonus for 2019 – 86 per cent of his salary – meaning he raked in a total of £1.3million in bonuses since agreeing to the Anglo deal.
The company said the payment for performance would have been higher but it decided to withhold the part of the annual bonus which was linked to securing funding.
Are you for INVESTIGATION or not?
This chat is useful for keeping in touch.
As 85 thousand share holders got kicked out of the on ongoing Project, we deserve answers .
What's behind This Lord Hatton backing the man that gets to keep his shares. In Sirius minerals.
Like many others, I lost significant sums of money by way of SXX, and want then to answer for what they did to all private investors as clearly there were underhand matters involved.
That said, I would urge people to not get too caught up in the reported legal case, as whilst this will potentially answer questions, the chances of actually recovering much of what people lost is limited. The claims specialists have stated that themselves. People recieved 5.5p for each share they held when the company was taken over. The chances of recovery at a level much over this price is slim, and no doubt any 'class action' would likely be on a 'no win, no fee' basis with the party making the claim taking a considerable % of any aware anyway.
I don't wish to be negative, as want to see the answers myself, but don't for a second believe there to be a pot of gold on the horizon which will get me back to where it was before all the shenanigans started.

WE MOVE ON AFTER THE INVESTIGATION.
THANKS.
We lost money on Sirius. It happens. Nobody cheated us, we just backed a company that over-stretched itself and had to let the grown ups take over.
I put most of my 5.5p per share into AAL and much of this year's ISA sub, on the grounds that I think Woodsmith's a good project and could make money, and AAL is a big and profitable company that will probably make more money. And, thanks to the collapse in markets because of Covid, by the time I got my SXX 5.5p last spring, AAL was heavily down, so I got most of my stake for ~£13.50. With AAL now at £25, I've wiped out over £14000 of my £20000 loss on SXX, not counting a couple of decent divis.
Move on, for goodness sake.
Swiss court sentences Israeli businessman to 5 years in prison over Guinea natural resources case
Yes brilliant idea
The old adage of never trust a banker (CEO), esp those with links to junior ministers, Israhel and competing mine owning billionaires.....
yes but that bit about jerrick (who could authorize a government loan) being friends with Idan Ofer

didn't come out until the fat lady had sung.

I wonder what the Norge and Qatari SWFs thought/think of all the shennanigans.
Have they expressed a view?
Thank you for any replies.
So sad to see the huge loss for all the AIM investors here. I was an early holder years back, but looking at project appraisals and future capital requirements I knew there would be dilutions in the future so I sold. This smacks of huge corruption from Govt down through the FCA and lower. The BoD probably knew they could never raise the capital to get the mine operational but needed to get it approved and started so as to lure in the bigger investors. I would position that the BoD knew that AIM governance and enforcement was near zero and simply used small investors' capital to feather their nests with zero intention of giving anything back. The old adage of never trust a banker (CEO), esp those with links to junior ministers, Israhel and competing mine owning billionaires.....
This is the pub the alleged incident took place, there was a lot of money made by a few people in the know.
It stinks!

How much does it cost to buy off a barmaid or indeed anyone these days ? Was never an investigation which would go anywhere....
There is very little information coming out from the mine itself. I am sure the employees silence has been owned. Do we know how much progress has been made ?
The good people of Yorkshire need to rally against corporate greed.
“Lots of messages about investigations“
Sirius Minerals launches probe after claim insider 'discussed takeover with a barmaid in a hotel bar' Sirius Minerals has launched an internal investigation after a senior worker was allegedly heard discussing the controversial takeover by Anglo American with a hotel barmaid before it was publicly announced.
Chris has your probe got lost? Do you actually do anything you say?
Lots of messages about investigations. People in Yorkshire have long memories. I would find it interesting when the mine gets going, generating profits for AAL and making CF a multi multi millionaire. Have patience. There is no question in my mind, you ain’t heard nothing yet. The wrath of 85,000 shareholders will be heard someday.
You can hoodwink some people some of the time. You cannot hoodwink 85,000 people all of the time.
Hobo, you could cash the cheque and invest it in Chris Fraser’s new distillery business.
What could go wrong????
Quite bizarrely I this morning recieved a letter from 'Equinti' stating that they had sent me a cheque for 5.5p in March 2020, and confirming that it had not been cashed, and that I only have 12 years in which to do so.
This was the share that I transfered out of HL to be able to attend the final meeting as needed to hold a physical paper share for voting rights.
Its current sat on my shelf at home, the share certificate & the cheque.
It's fair to say things didn't turn out exactly as planned as held near 500,000 shares at one point.
Would 85 thousand share holders believe if he tells us his neck is made of poly4 ?
