Did’nt Fortesque have to simular path what Sirius looking to do due to getting backing ? Scrimshaw footage show’s that they got the final deal over the line in 2005... before hand it was acting the same scraping the project to point the banks or money men would back it?
Would you do the same? Long & strong is my belief. ATVB
Sheps, I too noted the irony of the timing of Dogstar's appearance (and that I had used the word "dog" share!, double irony). He's like a dog with a bone. Now why, if you're not invested and have no intention of investing - because you think the product is crap - would you be back time and time again. Nothing better to do? Civic duty? Or an agenda?
Apologies my first paragraph should read:
Dogstar, how ironic your post in the middle of a thread about those you see merit in repetition for one reason or another, I too am in the camp that some have motives.
Sheps8.

You know very well that your argument has been played out many many times on here but mostly over on III board when indeed GK put forward some very well researched and strong arguments to your take on the subject of low potash and the pricing of such, however the argument goes back to 2010/2013 period during the core sample and early planning days, in the intervening 10 years I've seen enough evidence to give me absolute confidence in the veracity of Polyhalite/Poly4 merits that's progressed from core samples to where SXX are today, I'm not going into the rinse and repeat scenario you always wish to bring to the fore when you post, I've moved on, so has the planners, off takers and some pretty large agronomy world leading suppliers, you apparently haven't.
Have a good day Dogstar.

ok except my research ( very brief as it was) had a truck capacity at 40 tons x 63 trucks is 2520 tons a day and with your values that makes 110 mil not 30 ?? even allowing for not hitting max volume it still looks more like 100 mil does it not ?
Shep's
It all very well being in the UK, but UK and European compounders are not interested in including poly4 in the products because of its dilutive affect of being low potash, so perhaps the mine might be better situated in the mid west of America
here is the start point of my quickie research in case you think i was pulling numbers from the clouds! this article has selling price @ $219 + a tonne the i researched truck capacity and did a little maths. bol https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/129383/a-closer-look-at-ambitious-sirius-minerals-north-yorkshire-polyhalite-project-129383.html
ok didnt get any answers so here is my educated guess $200 a ton sale price,40 tons per truck,63 trucks a day,365days a year, so 200x40x63x365=183 mil a year ?? does that sound about right ?? i hope so i just bought 25 k as a start because seems pretty good revenue stream to me. gla
hi all,
I would have thought that CF and fellow directors may have taken advantage of this low price and given confidence to investors and purchased a few million between them , you see it all the time with other companies , why havent they bought ??
Was invested here a while ago moved my money for shorter term gains ( lucky break not skill ) anyway liked the long term then and still do if it can be turned around. What id like to know is the aprox value of 65 trucks a day ?? anyone have any idea please?.
Steadydanny, I'm pleased to say your concerns are "Wrong", the processes involved in mining Polyhalite then manufacturing into Poly4 once the mine is in production are considerably less than the alternative Potash based fertilizer manufacturers, the basis of the viability of Sirius Minerals is based on its competitiveness that cannot otherwise met by other manufacturers by a long chalk, given the uniqueness of Polyhalite's ingredients and location, I.E. UK based and 37km from Mine to Port from an "environmently friendly" aspect this mine will be a world class leading operation.
Sheps8.
Steady on there Danny
.....,,,
Dosnt the main product being mined for need to be processed before it can be useful? So it's value is less than being discussed on here. And the process is not environmently friendly. Wrong or right!?
