I think it is highly likely that blocking the deal will mean zero return, but those doing this will be responsible for this 5.5p loss. However, IIs do not usually vote emotionally, unlike private investors, and will probably have enough voting power to see it through.

What is ?
Well that’s a new development.
Well my little battered squid I assume once it's in writing as to how the vote takes place we will then make a plan !!
another good reason to have sound advice and sensible debate ! I think I shall probably get more reliable help over on sssg but there are members here that I'm sure i'll listen to too!
Not that I'm suggesting some here have a disruptive agenda you understand !

Here's last night's update again under, 'ShareSoc further update 3': The letter to Sirius was acknowledged on the same day. We are now in the process of attempting to develop the dialogue further, within the given constraints of the Takeover Code. I'd say a conference call might be likely - if nothing else - however nothing's guaranteed; it is in their interests to engage - or at least be seen to.
Rest assured we are doing our level best - as fast as possible, to influence a better outcome for all LTHs. We have also managed to engage with Anglo - who have essentially just reiterated their position. This dialogue is secondary, as our primary concerns and the overall accountability lie with Sirius. Key press we have been working with have also been very supportive.
I've reached out to Mike Drinkwater. Please request for him to be passed through to me directly. Also worth emailing via areyeesirius@hotmail.com and confirming here to expedite, or feel free to PM via FB Sirius page.
As things stand, PIs hold 50%, with HL holding 18.5% of them. Nominee accounts can hold thousands of shareholders, which all count as 1; we are looking into how this impacts the vote, although in Sirius' announcement, they have stated that the need 75% approval from shareholders, for this to go ahead.
Yashmin - I'm also not sure there has been an update 3 - maybe there should be with the new figures and be good to have an update on no. of shares held and shown as over all percentage. Well done for all the hard work and progress made
That's a massive increase on the update from yesterday. Be good to get those figures out there if correct. There is a Mike Drinkwater asking for urgent help on ShareSoc if you could take a look Yashmin.
Thanks Yash I've only seen update 2 can't find update 3 but 500 is a fantastic number in such a short time and just shows the level of feelngs here imo .
