It also made sense to continue the longer lead time.
Regardless of what or who you agree with, it’s all about what gets the polyhalite to Teesside in significant volumes ASAP.
Trucks don’t cut it.
More Km of tunnel per buck v depth of shaft per buck.
Maybe it just made sense to continue the longer lead time activity?
I have to agree with Chilting here - perhaps not on the dividend front, but the sentiment in general.
The market valued this share at 27p in April, it's not crazy to think that it would be a similar figure if/when a funding solution is announced. However, that may well come with a dilution, or not happen at all.
I assume the tunnel is being progressed because the TBM was in position and the contract was already signed (and funds committed). There may well have been significant penalties if the TBM work had been stopped.
But the TBM making good progress is still good news and provides a small straw for shareholders to grasp. It would be far worse if the TBM was struggling to make progress.
The truth lies somewhere in-between the intense pessimism of illbetween and the more exuberant posters.
Confidence is growing towards a solution of SM's financial woes but any resolution will be tempered by dilution.
It will probably be a long time before long term holders turn a profit but when we do the rewards in terms of capital growth and dividends will be very acceptable.
My advice would be to go and do a bit more research. You are invested in a share that does have a great deal of potential but needs a few things in place before that potential is realised. There is plenty of good research out there but you might want to start with the company web site and read the recent RNS's. Good luck with your investment but please tread carefully.

Having just returned from a couple of days at Raithwaite Hall and had a look around the sites. Real is plenty of progress, tunnel nearly 10% complete be more positive.
Take a break up there and have a look.

Illbetabuck has set up an automotive response to any positive thoughts on Sirius - it is his duty to remind us that this is not for widows or orphans .... as if we didn’t already know that!

Irrational exuberance seems to be taking over the forum again.....
Despite all your hard work eh. That's your xmas bonus down the pan
All opinions, I'm sure it will get built and xxx get through it.. thats why I got in new entry point @ 3.2. 2014 was my 1st buy of sxx.. I have traded along the way..
I have faith this will recover.
I haven't sold a single share, I'm looking forward to adding more upon good news.
Or 2p.
The point here is that weather it goes up or down you should be prepared for either outcome. Right now the sp is headline driven so they is no way of knowing which way it would go.
£1 by Christmas lol
