"You (ie. Campagna) and your book talking along with the ponytailed wonder boy are the ones who should be holding your heads in shame!"

Bit rich coming from you isn't it Scotman?? If I remember rightly, wasn't it you that said of the high-yield bond sale:
“I’d say virtually zero chance of failure.” (25th July). And...
“I don't think anyone shorting expects the bond raise to fail.” (30th July)
No matter, all water under the bridge now...;-))

So who is to blame or is it simply bad luck that SM couldn't raise the funds to build the mine - would we have got there if the Government had offered loan guarantees - or was the project simply to ambitious for a start up with no income.
*******
Despite all the vitriol on here, if CF could have continued this company as a solo act, IMVHO he would of done.

One thing is for sure - the market punishes failure by pushing down the SP and when that happens there is no way back - its massive dilution or a takeover, simply because the market cap is so low - but consider what a part built mine with no income is actually worth?
Now we have an offer - a get out of jail free card - at least long term holders can recoup some of our capital - the offer isn't actually to bad - a good premium to the start of year SP and it seems the mine will be completed - its just a shame that we won't be a part of it.
