I wonder if they could aggregate the truck movements across the sites to benefit the poly transportation? No doubt wouldn't require max truck movements at all the locations every day?
Never a consideration when transporting windmill blades/wings......... :)
chop 'em birds up.............!
All the best (to name but one on the environmental issues............. :)
probs offset by growing food, feeding the world more efficiently ..............
Rough guess £130/£140 a load
As I read it is 63 HGV's per day, this has to include deliveries, and construction traffic, which I would guess will take up at least 20% of those loads. I have doubts on the economical viability of this plan, they may need to make it a loss leader to get the poly out there. I also see a possibility of environmental issues of transporting it this way due to the dusty nature of the mined product.
Railway ???
Teesport / Redcar still have the British Steel rail system
Just a thought
1 Panamax Bulk carrier is 65-80000 DWT.
So one / month.
That would ship worldwide routes
Less the cost of transport..........
698,880 tonnes per year ?! Based on 30 tonne per load....
About 28 tonne a load 28 tonnes x 63 loads x 30 days rough fag packet calculations 53000 tonne a month x12 = 620,000 x £145 a tonne roughly 89 million a year sorry if rough guide but you get the jist , it's a start it help fianace debt to start

The First Shipment, a very significant event, could happen well before the tunnel usable.
