You sure the UK hasn’t bailed out or propped up UK car industry....
Absolutely.Hasn't stopped the germans propping up their motor industry either.Rule for one.Rule for another
The Government have a very odd way of dealing with business in the UK
I think it is based more on politics in the UK and has nothing to do with Europe. It seems that with the combat politics of the two party system that from the Conservative point of view helping business is a socialist policy and therefore they won't help and the Labour party will only help is they can take them under Government control.
There must be a middle way - the Norwegians for example take a stake in a successful business and profit from it - as we have seen with Yara.
Somehow the only motivating factor for our Government is dealing with a crisis or a fear of failure - that I think comes back to the two party system and it doing our country and economy a great deal of harm.

How do explain the UK treasury bailing out UK banks to the tune of nearly £1T....?
Was the treasury really going to step in for TC... and the likes of Woolworths.... etc
Nothing to do with EU
Alan, you wouldn’t know what a Fact!!!* actually is if you were slapped around the chops with Whitby’s finest. All too often your ‘facts’ are little more than opinion and misdirection delivered with the newspaper.
But you just carry on, fella. There’ll be intelligent people reading and chuckling, and who will know without question - and certainly without you telling them - that you ‘take The Mail’.
Of course you do.
per ardua ad astra
I am referring to the Fact that the UK Government are prevented from propping up private companies due to European legislation ( you can look this up ) that's why we could not help our Steel Industry!! That's why we could not help Thomas Cook it's not permitted under E.U. Rules Fact !!
But Condor the German part of Thomas Cook is bailed out propped up to save job,s ( it's in the paper this morning ) but due to it being Germany the Bosses of Europe it's ok it's do as I say not do as I do but what's new.
And over the weekend a German actually spelt it out Europe wanted to Anex Northern Ireland .
I know you will do as you normally do and pull things apart due to them not confirming with your view buts I guess that's par for the course.
