I think Warren Buffet would have arranged for Mr. Fraser to be voted out several months ago when it became obvious that he was incapable of fixing the funding
Hey Chesh I haven't seen anything that looks remotely your "style" over on sharesoc ?
All a bit to "reserved " for you over there ? lol

I no longer hold-but did for years
Anyone waivering on how to vote -please use your common sense--a No vote means you get nothing---investing is not about getting one back on the BOD--its about capital preservation--how do you think Warren Buffet would vote here?
A tick from me Sabbo
shame the vote isn't being held at Whitby we could have fought them on the beach
"Evil will prevail if good men do nothing"

Amen to that.
Vote NO.

Hi everybody
This is my first and hopefully, I can hear you say my last post on this forum. As an engineer for nearly 50 years and having built up two companies over the past 34 years logic is usually the benchmark for most if not all of my decisions. However I have felt conflicted with the decision whether or not to vote yes or no to the proposed deal.
On Saturday my wife bought a DVD from the local supermarket of "The Darkest Hour" which we watched the following evening. It gave me a clearer idea of how I SHOULD vote and that is NO simply because what these people are doing is WRONG. I accept that I will lose money and I may lose all of it but when faced with a situation far worse than any of us are facing Winston turned to the ordinary people for his answer. I have already lost 75% of my investment and I know people will say 25% of something is better than 100% of nothing and they are of course correct but after watching that film I feel that I may lose money but I have gained something far more important. Can you imagine what would have happened if he had listened to his so called better informed advisers.
"Evil will prevail if good men do nothing"
This is in no way an attempt to sway anyone to my way of thinking but I just wanted someone to know that sometimes you just have to do what you feel is right and let the chips fall where they will.
Rant over
ps I was also wondering if anybody else was aware of the irony in this situation.
We used to export our cowards, liars, thieves and robbers to the colonies, it would appear they have reversed that policy.

Don't forget the closing date for votes with HL is noon 26th ( check as other platforms may be different)
If you do hold share certificates you have until the 28th to get you vote done by 11.00 for the 50% 1 vote per holder
and 11.15 for the 75% 1 vote per share
And I believe it will cast about £40 through HL
remember tough that if you want to do that they need to be held outside of a sipp or isa and it's ten working days or more to become valid . ( so maybe too late )
That’s a very helpful post. The more individual shareholders that attend, the more likely it is that the 50% of shareholders in favour threshold will not be met. This is an easier hurdle to cross than having 25% of the vote by number of shares.
I have now heard back from HL. If your shares are in a SIPP, it appears there is no mechanism to transfer shares out of a nominee account. However it is possible to register as an individual shareholder by purchasing a single share via Sirius Registrar. You can then cast your vote as you wish. The contact number for the Registrar is 03716640300 and the organisation is Link. I hope that may be of some assistance to those who feel strongly about wishing to ensure their views are recorded whether for or against.
