" it feels deceitful and wrong"
That's because it is Stanley ! 100
I 'm not very eloquent so sorry if I made my point badly Stanley I think we very much are on the same page here .
I totally agree that the ONLY thing good to come out of this is the mine will get built along with all it's benefits but that does not justify shafting the shareholders especially when another alternative was on the table ...
ffc
ffc, I also knew the risks, if we had gone down fighting I would accept that, it’s the manner of our demise that has bothered me, it feels deceitful and wrong
Modesto,
Too true. My works share scheme that I’ve paid into over the last 3 years has given me a solid return of 39%. I’ve paid no attention to it just paid the subs every month. I will get a divi, not large but ok.
Sirius on the other hand has been like a hobby, all consuming, ultimately one massive disappointment
Well it should
Stanley
I'm not so silly that I didn't worry this could happen , I have defended the bod right up to this point because tbh I am the type that would have to sell up had i felt like some have over the last few months .
That said I'm still not really up for that kind of in fighting I just would like to take this to the very end !
Perfect ending for me now would be a no vote because I genuinely feel the fundamentals are to strong for administration ?
Then the vindictive in me would like to see the whole bod replaced .
when I have seen some of the posts over the years giving the multitudes of reasons why we are mad to be invested here I've always been able to ignore them and remind myself of those fundamentals !
Mad to still hold out hope ?
mad to want to fight this ?
That's what we all have to decide before selling and giving up the right to vote

I invested in this company not to get rich quick and have a champagne lifestyle but for the long term to see a divide being paid out to go towards my retirement. I haven’t over stretched myself financially, I looked into the company, I liked what I read about poly4, I followed the agronomy trials with interest, the pre qualification of IPA underwriting st2 to the tune of 1.5 billion at the time of my investment was the deal maker for me before I pressed the buy button.

Ditto Stanley... and very well articulated. There were options to keep this investment in current holders hands. For whatever reason - negligence, bad luck or something more nefarious- these have been squandered. This was a good investment - and still is otherwise AAL wouldn't be in the picture.
I'm disgusted with the way it is turning out. Worst of all the senior execs that have presided over this fiasco get to keep their jobs and their bonus and incentive schemes. Surely that wont sit well with the good folk of Yorks.
truth said Stanley .I too have concluded that loads of research can be a waste of time . you do all the work come up with a view and still likely to be wrong . how galling that somebody who does no research ...buys a world index etf makes money .we make life complicated sometimes .
Morals ffc,
unfortunately they don’t come into this.

Ultimately the buy down to me, but we had a lot of encouragement in making that choice.

I agree that unless you are a shareholder from the outside looking in the majority would say the situation we find ourselves in is all part and parcel of investing ...
That fact is (and hands up I've only been in 3 years ) we've supported in funding/s and we are not considerd worthy anymore , especially as they have stated that a loan" was offered in December ?? now obviously that IS what the shareholders want not this takeover ,,, on that basis alone this is wrong ... we supported the recent round of funding t get us to the point of the bond issue did we not ???? then for reasons only they know they refuse the "loan" offer ????
Doesn't seem like they played by the rules to me ?
Legally ? maybe Morally ? definitely not

We as share holders are not just up against the Sirius board and AAL. We are also up against our government. You can bet your bottom dollar ( if you have any left) that the current business secretary will be up to speed on current events. The local Mp’s, Ben Houchen will all be touting for this deal.
The government and the local MP’s arnt bothered about us. Robert Goodwill has been waxing lyrical about this project for years. He was on the local news two weeks ágo saying what a good deal AAL takeover was for the project, he made not one mention of local shareholders who have supported Sirius for years. That is the stark reality for us pi’s the government want this takeover to happen
Did anyone see the local news last night it had a bit on sxx . They interviewed a local Tory MP he was saying about the local shareholders and advising to vote for it or accept the deal i only caught the tail end of it obviously the MP is getting fed bull**** and doesn't really know the situation
