Is it me or are the MM's driving this one down to flush out another bidder?
computer glitch from 10% to.06% in 10 seconds, might buy some now
why is the spread so high?
Borealis thought that SVT worth 22 pounds a share, are they stupid or the market is stupid? The price is 16.36, 34% less than Borealis valuation and of course if they were paying 22 they think SVT worth at least 25 pounds.
about 12-18 months
After the review this should go at least 20 pounds, after all there was a group will to pay 22 pounds a share and i don't think they were stupids.
Anybody knows when is the ofwat's reviw? one week? one mounth?
This will look at 15pound then will be the time to top up i reckon there is another buyer in the wings ready to attack after regulatory review then they will get there 23pound + a share
Pretty negative review in the Times this morning and see price still dropping. Currently around 1670. Think I will hold off my purchase for a few days to see where this is going
Just back from holiday. glad I sold out a month ago at a shade over 2100. Have always held SVT for the yield as much as anything else, so guess now would be a good time to buy back in again.
1m buy 14th Jun 16:44.
You may be right but my average price is under 1800p. Can always rearrange the deckchairs to find more dosh if it falls further. I did well out of Northumbrian Water, but would have held it forever otherwise. The miner's strike proved we could live without electricity but Blue Gold is a different ballgame. As for timing, Rothschild said he made his fortune in the stock market by always selling too soon.
I reckon your going in to early ?? dont take offence but this share will see mid 1600 after ex-divi i am not a deramper already in at mid1900s but i wont top up to lower initial outlay till after ex-divi the divi is the only thing holding the price up
Top sliced some CNA to buy some more SVT. Seems like a no-brainer, the BOD says SVT is worth a 30% premium, recent offer 2200p, Blue Gold my man!
Sorry I thought you meant something else . I think the price is almost nice enough to top up but the FTSE100 drop since May is still not factored into the price so I think SVT will drop some more in the next week unless we see an overall bounce in market sentiment . I see the trend as down , I know utilities are not meant to track the indices but they are affected . I dont know who these big after hours buyers are but I seriously question their judgment , I would like to work for them as they have money to burn .
About the serious buyer returning 3 nights in a row, I meant. 'Let the trend be your friend'? 'Are we goin to jump, or j**k off'',('Point Break'), just foolin..
If it was the same buyer then so far they are down about £2m in 24 hours , I cannot understand how you think you could be right , as a long term investment I think SVT are nearly back at a good entry level even with its exceptionally high pe ratio.
More than 9M bought after the bell.
Check it out, not showing now.
Have seen big buys after the bell on Mon & Tues - lets see what happens. I don't believe the consortium has spent all their time & money to go home empty handed..
Looks to me like whoever spent £40M after hours is lacking his analytical brain cells so I suppose it could be down to ' the consortium' . The price has not quite dropped back to its pre bid level but I will top up when it does , there is always talk of SVT being a bid target so someone else will be along soon enough , hopefully with more brains than the Longriver consortium .
Reluctantly sold some SSE in order to double my stake in this Bad Boy.
was formal rns ...but whatever...money screams
ye but i thought that was made clear on monday (i think it was) [been away for a few days, need to catch up] RNS on monday: "In the absence of any such engagement, there will be no further proposal from the Consortium and no offer for Severn Trent shareholders to consider." Usual over reaction from Mr (Thankfully Silly) Market. Surely those words made it pretty clear nothing was going to happen.
worth a punt given upside (potential lol) imv ..gl all/dyor
