Their historical returns would indicate so. But what are the risks?
I applaud the management though. And that's what counts in my books.
I topped up yesterday. I still think it's a very good company.

Agreed
Westy54; thanks for that dialogue with IR. The issue of withholding tax relates specifically to payment of interims not finals.
I see it as an overraction as well and took the opportunity of a position.
Call me a bottom feeder, but a company with returns in double digits at these discounts is difficult to resist.
I also like the crew and the way it is run.
Let's 'cement' this relationship :)
from my experience of working for a cement works you only need a cold winter where temperatures gets below zero everything slows down sales wise. but things always pick up in the warmer months so i wouldnt read to much in one quaterly set of figures.
At the end of today there have been 2.9m shares bought and sold, huge compared to the daily average. Not all of them were sells by any means BUT if they were that would have been just 1.33% of the total shareholding being sold and yet the price dropped 23% or thereabouts - where is the logic in that?!
I expect that the market will clobber this further.

Westy. Last years trading conditions for this company was trying mainly due to inflation and supply issues. Like you have said the stockmarket is exploiting short term weakness of what appears to be a company of great foundation excuse the pun.
Keeping on my watch list.
Come up on my radar.
This is just way off the chart in terms of price drop. Take a look at the volumes of shares bought and sold At this moment in time there is a net sell off of 653,136 shares which equates to just 0.2982% of shares in circulation and yet the share price has dropped by 23.86%! This makes no sense whatsoever. I know that the AIM is has very poor liquidity but this just does not make sense. Anyone with better knowledge than me like to explain it?
As it happens, I emailed Javier at STCM a couple of days ago to ask whether they are intending to return to the June/July XD and payment dates. They are currently trying to restructure part of their business in terms of tax regime so as to avoid the 15% Witholding tax on dividends, this is not new news I know, it has been going on for about 10 months now and was the reason for the delayed payment last year - it is still ongoing. Last year they managed a work around in order to release the dividend, this year they are trying to put something more permanent structurally in place to avoid the WH Tax. They are not there yet and Javier's answer to my question was "It depends on how long the restructuring takes" Fingers crossed
Even if the dividend drops to 4p, that's still a 11.7% yield on current offer price 34p.
Nearby Ukraine will need a rebuilding effort and some point and this is a well-managed, almost boringly capable Company, able to navigate through most situations in a competent manner. Continuing to hold.
Not really a surprise, has been uncertainty in the area for a while. Todays RNS has caused a market over reaction, meanwhile I’m seeing posts elsewhere suggesting a pending bull market coming. As long as the anticipated dividend comes around June/July time, it’s business as normal with an expected upturn the other side of current geopolitical differences.
I haven't got a position (yet), but the trading statement today is quite a surprise...
Not looking like a multi bagger today....
