Just check Viavi US site and as yet no post. Interesting to see whether they say we are out or we note the offer and are considering our position.
Love the way Spirent directors now think the new company is just the best thing since sliced bread after trying to convince us Viavi's offer was the same but a few weeks back.
Could even be a 3rd lurker yet to surface.
Spirent have a unique company and so only one chance to nab it.
Spirent have withdrawn their recommendation only, Viavi have zillions and can throw it all the way. No Spirent mention that they have spoken to Viavi to know they are out.
240-270.
Let's see what happens.
Nice position to be in.
Well done all.

Absolutely thus goes better, Viavi will have pop at this-225 this goes out at…
This second offer has come this morning 201.5p..26.5p more.
Hopeful a third better offer might again to come.

Spirent Communications PLC on Thursday said it agreed to a takeover by Keysight Technologies Inc, weeks after it recommended a takeover by Viavi Solutions Inc.
The Crawley, England-based test and assurance solutions provider said it agreed to a GBP1.16 billion takeover from the Santa Rosa, California-based manufacturer of electronics test and measurement equipment and software.
Spirent said the offer by Keysight was superior to the existing GBP1.01 billion bid by Viavi, a Chandler, Arizona-based manufacturer of testing and monitoring equipment for networks. Spirent had recommended the takeover by Viavi on March 5.
The latest offer values Spirent at 201.5 pence per share, 199.0p in cash and 2.5p in a special dividend. Viavi's all-cash offer was for 175 pence per share, comprising 172.5p cash and a 2.5p special dividend.
Spirent shares jumped 11% to 198.00 pence each on Thursday morning in London.
Spirent Chair Bill Thomas commented: "The board of Spirent is pleased to recommend Keysight's cash offer for
Great to see a bidding war!
Thinking of adding.
The chance is high
Think the chance of an increased offer is on the cards.
I've just added more and bought at less than the offer with a dividend to come as well. The rich can make lots for me it is small beer but still free beer :)
With my average at 217.2, a couple more bidders would be welcome - I might even be able to get out at break-even rather than banking a loss. I almost sold out yesterday - thank goodness I was waiting for 178p and got distracted.
I posted this on the 5th March, lets see if any others appear.

Apologies if I missed, when will we know any outcome here? Just bought another 1,000 in hope it'll improve from current offer or another suitor hove's into view?
Great ride, but time to move on so part sold. Funds (abrdn) and guns (RHM AG) next.
Might get a hostile in, so worth a little skin in this game.
No, dividend details below - conditional in offer becoming effective. Higher bid seems likely to get the funds to sign up.
As part of the offer for Spirent by Viavi, a special dividend of 2.5 pence (approximately equivalent to 3.15 cents at current prevailing FX rates) per Spirent ordinary share is intended and expected to be declared prior to the offer becoming effective, in lieu of any final dividend for the financial year ended 31 December 2023. The special dividend will be conditional upon, and only be payable if, the scheme of arrangement to implement the offer becomes effective (or, if the offer is implemented by way of a takeover offer, the takeover offer is declared unconditional in all respects).
Is this going ex div after cop today....or is there a special dividend re takeover?
