Well put Crude, it's exactly how i feel, i just hope we're right. Oh and you've just gotta luv Boris
crudehope, that's 3 failed wells not 2. 4 if you also count Badile.
Bav, I agree that the Sound Executive should be held to account on all issues & I applaud the efforts of trellis & his supporters. We need a new permanent Chairman but we also need this deal to go through. We had two failed wells, were running out of cash & had far too much equity stake to carry on funding the project. This new deal may not be the answer that many (including me) were looking for but it does hold the exciting prospect of production, dividends & exploration success - all of which could move the share price much higher than it is today. Things look grim with our current market cap but imagine how sentiment could change if the deals are signed that lead us onto the road to production & further exploration...a whole new world awaits & for those with spare cash - a chance to make money. For those who are 'underwater', maybe a chance to hold & see how things pan out - I'm sure they cannot be any worse than now so onwards & upwards for 2020!
Please do not read the posts 'whom I suspect employed by a dark force' to discourage the SAG.
Please ignore them and carry on your hard work. You have a lot on your plate especially trying to run your own business and look after your parents and dealing with SAG having lost thousands of £ value in this share.
Please don't be discouraged by those 'trolls' who try to discredit you. You have my full support and all other 184 in the group. I hope more will join with us and make the BOD/Chairman to give us proper clarity about this 'deal' before they sign. The BOD has a duty to deliver value to share holders and work for the interest of the share holders. Chairman cannot ignore us by saying just you are only 5%.
If an II holder raised concerns I am sure they will answer all the questions and give more clarity.
Jones1980, so your prediction is?
" But let us be real here".
Comedy. Congratulations. Well done Porcy (pies).
Indeep71 you mean IF a deal is signed when SOU
pass due diligence and the buyer can raise funds. No where does it say that a drilling campaign is planned or that we are carried for exploration. Don't forget SOU has to pay for commitments at Sidi and pay Marco back.
SOU wont go Private and as discussed before in the absence of any news the SP will go lower. Come February though and news of the deal comes out with a drill program planned, interest will resume and a slow but sure recovery
Roll on Feb :)
At least Trellis is trying to obtain answers to questions that in the most part aren't particularly price sensitive. God loves a trier so fair play to him. I don't think Trellis is the bad guy here and has worked hard to protect your interests, so for that you should thank him. That is why he retains his position on the BOD of Chuckle Energy plc. However, I would recommend he now goes in search of some serious wine drinking during this festive period. The lefties have been kicked out and shamed and we now have some sense of political order restored. Crude will be goose stepping across the Sussex Downs as I type this with a big grin on his face.
Our problems are not with treilis. They are with a gang who have demonstrated that they were, for many years, taking PIs for idiots. Btw, most oilies are doing fine today. Seems we are in a special category.
MF is just after his money back, which is understandable. He's having to oversee this circus show just so he can attempt to get his dosh back. Once he has done that, which is a by no means certain, I reckon the company will delist and wither away into nothing. By the way, it's "loser" and not "looser." You can't even spell "loser" right! That just about sums-up your situation. That's why I talk about spam and farting because at least that resonates with some people on this bb.
Jez, yes very much so. I think you may have missed my point Jez ,do I (we) really need to know. Can we see some postings which have meanings. Some we can learn from. I for one did not learn enough,as I am a big looser here, but I cannot put the clock back ,or I would. I cant see anything now but the hope that Marco Fumigalli will turn this all around. GLA
Sag has my support .
I'm glad Eric has taken over from me because I have nothing much to say about SOU right now. I still don't believe a deal will be done here and seeing is believing.
Lyndon? You are right when you say that my brother is a "farter." That boy is a windy one! It's like living in a wind tunnel. I've still got sleep deprivation after spending a week in Cyprus with him. Fart, snore, fart, snore. You get the picture.
Eric, you are now on 118 posts in 30 days. It looks like JTF and his farting brother may have given up trying for a world record on postings, but YOU have now taken over. If there are any readers of this snake pit ,(which is described as a forum board) need to see this continuous flow of rubbish ,I give up. What benefit do the JP ****gers, and self proclaimed financial experts offer to this board? Trellis ,and his group were formed immediately after the disaster week ,when three of the top executives walked (or got pushed in one week.) His intentions were to advise the company that a group of PIs were seriously concerned about the latest events , and the overall direction of the company. Isn't that the case for every investor in SOU,we ARE all concerned. What is the point you are trying to make by your continual postings ? where is the benefit to anyone reading on here? This message applies to many others also, other than the necessity to be correct in everything you say, why bother?
share personal details-check
do some admin- check
have Caveat( not a member of SAG by the way) and all other shareholders who are supporting SAG stand up for what we are doing-check
Should I be leading it- that is for members to decide and as you are no longer one it is not a decision that should concern you ; however in SAG I can be removed when/if members believe I have stopped acting in their interests(used to be a time when CEOs did the same but.... ) I will continue until removed.
ericnat, I didn't see a whole lot of people volunteering to step up to the plate to lead the SAG. I don't get what your beef is with trellis. He strikes me as entirely honorable and willing to do a job where others weren't. My only misgiving is the number of people on an anti-JP vendetta, and that's the reason I left the SAG myself. I didn't top up by two million shares in the last six months only to team up with people who don't care if they damage our collective prospects. But I still appreciate trellis's efforts and have told him as much.
So let me get that right.
If you are willing to share you personal details, have your backing and do a some admin, that makes you the right candidate for leading the SAG.
OK, no problem
I would love to agree Caveat. I personally feel he has not demonstrated those attributes and your post gives me no greater confidence.
Eric, many on this board will know that I have been invested in SOU since long before JP became CFO, never mind CEO.
Not just me but my wife, son , brother, friends etc. etc
I have not posted here much of late because I have not had much of value to add to the debate, but your recent posts have motivated me to make a contribution and, at a certain level, I guess I should thank you for that.
I have known Richard for some time now (nothing to do with SOU) and I can say without reservation, even though I do not always agree with his point of view, that I am convinced that he is an honest person that is not acting out of a selfish self-interest.
There are precious few posters on public BBs that are willing to share their true identity with the entire world, but Richard is one of those very rare posters that is willing to go that extra mile for causes in which he firmly believes.
To suggest that Richard is motivated by self-interest or vainglory is, in my opinion, very wide of the mark and any true investor in SOU would be well advised to tender to him the respect that he deserves, even if you do not agree with all that he espouses.
After all, how many other people are willing to spend so much of their time and energy to further the will of so many like-minded people, without concern for the possible repercussions that the necessary personal exposure requires? I, for one would not be so brave, and I dare say, neither would you?
By all means let's debate different points of view, but let's also souw each other due respect
Eric- "Pace" "No Mas" we can disagree without fighting. Good luck going forward
I have no more information than the draft letter you sent out to me and the letter that was posted in the Dropbox link. Why else would I be asking you for information on the BB.
No need to apologise, you use of language was even more evidence that I made the correct decision. If you group increase the value of my investment then I will be thanking you and the group. I just think that it may have the opposite effect. But I accept your perception, even though I believe there are other mechanisms for that would be be far more appropriate.
Oh Dear Eric
I have been appealing for calm and confidentiality on here. I deleted your details once you decided to leave the group so I find it interesting that you appear to know all the details of our subsequent actions? Especially as I have not subsequently sent a group e mail out? I have more interest in looking after the now 183 than continuing arguing with you- I saw some purpose in it earlier but no longer,
I apologise unreservedly for my use of language in 1 post- you did not deserve to be on the receiving end of that
Pay no attention to the knockers. You represent our best hope of getting a respectable outcome from this protracted and costly debacle. I am sure I speak for many of the Group when I express appreciation for your commitment to this cause, especially given the conflicting demands of your parents’ health issues.
Please keep up the good work - and thank you.
You will need to have a thicker skin that that Trellis. That did not take much to get to your base.
Funny how you are not willing to share any information, that’s rather ironic.
Good luck trying to keep your cool with the BOD, you could try and swear at them. Maybe you already have?
