Still hoping for mid cap status within two years.
lol steve, well if the Tanzania/Uganda/Gas pipeline is completed, there will be no gas left in Ruvuma @1BCF per day by 2037
2037 ?
Sorry Chris couldn't resist it.
Licence next week please.
Been a long time coming Viking.
2017 - NT2 drilled with an 11 fold increase in gross resources, 25 year development licence applied for.
2018 - Gov initiate contract review with all O&G operators and concludes November#
2019 - Gov initiate PSA review with all 11 Operators, conclude their review in end Jan 2020
2020 - to date PSA with the operators for review...
"cperkin im not knocking you im just giving my opinion, I really cant see this moving forward, but i really do hope im wrong"
I am of the same opinion trrime. Funny when I have posted similar things that are not massively optimistic in the past (both years) you have accused me of being another poster in disguise! Does that mean you now think I am you? Oh hum wait, wait, wait, wait and then probably a dilution to keep the lights on - but as you say trrime lets hope that is not the case.
We need to get an acknowledgment that the AEX board have indeed received and passed back the PSA now to the Government, this is the bare min tbf, it’s would be seen as a substantial step in the right direction, be it in my camp as nothing is certain at the moment just speculation GLA
CP, nice to hear something a bit positive and from the TZ gov!
ATB
VS
Didn't take it personally trrime, just also giving my opinion based on the PSA review completion and the Gov's International arbitration u turn which suggest It's all finally moving along.
Fingers crossed eh
I know it feels like it trrime but the Gov has finished its PSA review at long last, that's very significant news. So the PSA now sits with the operators. The new operator will be the Zubairs once the licence lands and it will all then move at their pace and I reckon that pace will be much better than the old operator.
I certainly hope to see the c1 spud before the summer is out steve.
"As previously announced, both APT and the Company have seen recent positive movements in Tanzania with respect to the general business environment, growing demand for natural gas consumption and the approaching completion of the government's review of production sharing agreements. As a result of these encouraging developments, it has been agreed to fast-track select Chikumbi-1 "pre-drill" activities including construction of an access road to the Chikumbi-1 wellsite, construction of the drilling surface location, ordering of select long lead items and to progress permitting activities. This will enable the joint venture group to commence drilling operations on Chikumbi-1 as soon as possible following the granting of the extension of the Mtwara licence. "
Hi Chris.
Whilst I agree with you partly.
How many years until we are at that stage.
Without the licence it's all hypothetical anyway.
Round we go again steve ;) Don't sell any of Ruvuma till at least post C1 drill imo.
Imo companies will be pulling out very soon if not sorted soon.
What's the point in having all that has if you can't extract and sell it.
Imo a complete mess.
Get out of it asap. Even if licence is granted tomorrow how many more obstacles will there be before production.

That is open to anyone who in this type of thing ???
Chris read that and that’s what Emanuel was saying so that’s great to confirm that part of the conversation with him, so in your opinion when will we get something on the Licence as it only a draft isn’t it and 2020 is slipping away, will they then get the go- ahead on the drill now or do they have to sign and return the PSA sorry but .... ???
Afternoon.
Thanks cperkin, so am I correct in saying that once the PSA is agreed then the licence can be issued?
All the best.
Current reports indicate that the PSAs review was completed by early January 2020and companies should receive drafts or final text by end of the month. However, it may not be easy to find out the proposed changes made by the review since government and companies do not disclose PSAs.

So the news on the draft looks like it was correct then.
