Mathers...why don't you ask Fawzi if I had a 30 minute 1 to 1 with Elodie and Liam...?
Red
You’re bloody delusional, my discussions with the chairman, pompous pretentious twit
Existing Solgold board for re election, wha he does and this one doesn’t, you haven’t a scooby doo mate, full of yourself.
Atb
SM...how can BHP 'manipulate from a distance'?
They have no Director.
The Chairman hasn't specified what their interference was. Based on my own conversation with the Chairman I have concluded that they wanted either NM off or the whole Board put up for re-election. There is no way voters could be garnered to sack the whole Board...
People fear BHP putting in a low ball bid...but at Noront they bid 45c after a 24c pre-bid price and were driven up to 75c by Wyloo.
Noront is small compared to what we have here. It started at £70m MCap and if the bid succeeds it is £230m...
But its still not over as Fortescue won't roll over...
https://www.mining.com/bhp-extends-noront-bid-deadline-amid-talks-with-wyloo/
Does anybody seriously think BHP could walk away with SOLG for peanuts?
The rest of the major miners wouldn't just sit on their hands.
Zoros, how can you write..
"Alas, due to his shareholding in Solg, the rest have been unable to fully expunge the man. So he continues to manipulate from a distance. BHP don't like it."
..when we have had an official RNS from the company claiming that it is in fact BHP who are trying to manipulate SOLG from a distance?
What is this alleged 'manipulation' by Mather? Given he has a massive holding here, do you think he is is trying to drive the share price lower?
Why are you siding with BHP who care only about getting their hands on all of our assets as cheaply as possible and not one bit about the share price of SOLG?
Why has Warren Irwin not commented on this being the case, given the anomisity he previously held for Nick?
Excellent post Smickster, I will tick that up as well.
Made me smile, and we all need to smile more.
Can't believe the number of loons on this site.
I know in my world they are unrepresentative of society, but far to many for my liking.
All the best.
Life's too short for me to unfiltered Quady...at least zoros is polite...
Quady I'm truly sorry about this as I'm sure a man of your intelligence and standing has no comparisons.
I think deep down Red is missing your banter and has probably unfiltered you like he did Zoros.
Right must look through Bozi's points and if I agree with them, tick them up, because this person keeps a cool head when all the other chickens are clucking away and he talks sense.
Hi Smickster I see Redknight has asked if you are me. He doesn't usually give out such compliments.
Zoros - I see you're well entwined in the tired old Mather narrative.
You lot are pretty funny. When it suits it's a case of Mather losing the respect of his senior shareholders but then when the mask slips we see it conceded that Mather was never going to be able to steer the ship past a certain point once NCM and BHP came aboard.
Which is it? You can't have it both ways.
I'd love this stock to be inpunged for another 20 years. We'd maybe get to production by then and you would lose your **** in the process.
Quite how you can underestimate and overachieve by providing a 10mt+ 22m-oz AU +90m-oz AG resource in the last 5 years and an average share price appreciation of 2200% over the same timeframe is beyond me. What do you expect of Mather? That he moves worlds?
Based on your SolGold analysis i trust you know very little about GGP. You know very little about the stock market in general, whereas I can testify many years of working experience. I know a thing or two about GGP and would be happy to hear your advice for it's comedy value.
Redknight1 -bravo on the cheerleading. I can count without any fingers how many of my points you have countered today...
Zoros by your own admission Mather is not yet out of the game bit early to be writing out his gravestone isn't it?
I'm glad I unfiltered you zoros...excellent value...
Bozi - everyone who has even the most basic understanding of whats been going on @ solg towerts - knows that NM reached hs shelf life and no longer commanded the respect of his board/senior shareholders. There was most definitely a vote of no confidence in his actions. On his gravestone it will read: "Over estimated and under achieved".
Alas, due to his shareholding in Solg, the rest have been unable to fully expunge the man. So he continues to manipulate from a distance. BHP don't like it.
If matters aren't resolved @ the AGM, this effing stock will enter its 9th year @ Alpala mired in a malaise of bathing in NM's epitaph.
PS: You know FA about GGP Your description about what happened because of the discovery spike, is incorrect. Stick to what you (think you) know.....my advice is free.
Z
You guys really are on a roll.
If I may add, based on dilution from the 2017 peak, the current price corresponds to about 29.2p, so we are jut about 33% from the most bullish price level this share has ever achieved (forget the old 2010 peak).
So, factually, dilution sucks for us and is our worst enemy. Right now, without dilution, our price based on 2017 issuance would be about 35.2p.
So how do we minimize dilution going forward? For one thing, keep BHP away as much as possible, unless they are happy to negotiate an even remotely acceptable price.

Smickster - it's a strange one. In one sense i can see what Red is saying. The company has now had to postpone the Alpala PFS release for a second time and that erodes investor confidence and combined with a sterile market we find ourselves trading our lows.
But i certainly don't appreciate the crusade against the board. I understand it (anything to weaken Nick's position to expedite a change of control fight) but i think it's a poor show in all honesty.
I'm a person at values loyalty. Mather created this company and was at the forefront of it moving to Ecuador through Malcolm Norris. Until he does something that is directly detrimental for me he has my support. Same goes for Moller and Twigger by extension.
Appreciate I'm the minority though and well used to it.
Bozi,
Red tells us we are not progressing and the board are to blame for the current sp.
Yet he lists all the progress we made this year even though Nick( supposedly) is still looking over things.
Redknight1 - do you realistically expect the market cap to have continued sailing north from that level you highlighted in 2017/2018?
That isn't how these plays work. It doesn't matter whether it's SolGold or someone else.
You've seen the growth curve/trajectory during the development cycle I take it? Yes, that graph that shoots north on discovery and then settles back lower during feasibility and construction.
So what is happening isn't value destruction by the SOLG board at all.
Just look at, dare I say it, Greatland Gold. Huge discovery spike whilst the resource results come flying in. Those guys think they know what they have and I'm pretty sure they're happy enough with how the company is managed but it doesn't mean the company isn't 60%+ off its high?
You can relax I'm sure. I think we all know which way the AGM director voting is going to go. People are probably going to be out of a job and you can turn your attentions towards a quick spike towards a trade facilitating event.
Why don't you accept you are wrong and trying ro deceive people.
So I'm now Mather and Quady.
Of you pop to Advfn then
Why don't you just keep it simple and argue that black is white...?
Are you Quady in disguise...
Thats me signing off for now.
The SP ALWAYS represents what shareholders are prepared to pay...
Now their not even prepared to pay 23p, despite the Chairman challenging BHP to make a bid...why do you think that is...?
smickster..."Quite strange you even invested."
I've doubled my money twice by selling half...that means I am currently sitting at a negative average cost, which is why I sleep easy at night and am not selling any of our c1.6 million...
I just think we will move faster...Darryl will have a better chance and...whether by delivery or takeover I will at least double my money again...
But...the 'Old' Board is like dragging an anvil behind my car with the foot pressed down hard...
Just look at the massive changes Elodie alone has made to the CG and ESG in less than 12 months
Look at the agreement signed with Lasso, thanks to Ingo and Maria AA
Look at the common sense brought to the PFS by Keith which will actually make it economically viable
Look at KOK finally appointing a CEO despite three of the 'Old' Board blocking an appointment for months
And look at our esteemed Chairman who has twice blasted investors, as a result of which the SP is DOWN over 20%...
Please take off your rose tinted glasses...I want to make money just as fast as you...if not faster...after a 7 year wait...
And the company was probably not worth £666m back I'm 2017.
Ramped to high heaven.
"The role of the Board is to provide leadership to the Company and to deliver Shareholder value..."
On May 25 2017 the Market Capitalisation of Solgold was £666 million with 1.432 billion shares in issue....
Right now the MCap is £516 million with 2.294 billion shares in issue, so...
Despite the Alpala PEA and an imminent PFS, plus all the wonderful exploration results since, the 'Old' Board has presided over value destruction of $150 MILLION...
Now who on here is happy with that...?
Quite strange you even invested.
I get it Red, its basically Bhp's fault is what you are saying.
Bit unkind as they have actually helped progress this too.
You can't force people to accept your point of view or to buy shares and help support the sp.
You can only progress and hope people buy into it.
As for the pfs the initial plan is well out the window and I have to trust what I'm being told unless you have it on good authority that I'm being lied too?
Well?
Or I'm to trust an anonymous user on a bb?
