Personally I think there is plenty to come in the near term. Assays galore , the greatest election worry (Perez) removed and Copper the flavour of the month moving forward.....
Well DF
If your theory is correct - £1.50 or 30p??
Why has no bid been made on SOLG?
55p is too low for what we have. £1.50 would be fairer value, but with the share price down around 22p we would be lucky to get 30p in a sale at this moment in time. I think the price will drift until after the result of the presidential election and probably the PFS so it is likely to be in these doldrums for some time.
Frog
Solgold are like the guy who wins an Aston Martin in a lottery but can't afford to drive it.
Holding on to it for appearance's sake.
They should sell it before they are the subject of a hostile takeover and get peanuts on the $
We should all remember that Irwin called NM going long before anyone here even thought that was a remote possibility. The likelihood of a sale or JV or farmout increased massively and very likely the result. I would be more than happy at that. 55p ish on news
DjCrisp - "nothing new" - what? Here is a guy who is one of the most influencial shareholders in CGP saying they had to literally sell their soul to get changes done at the top of Solg....This tells me that there have been negotiations ongoing between the companies (obviously against NM's wishes) to be able to move fwd properly. He admits openly (as we alld o here except for Quady) that a junior miner does not progress this to production and he wants to prepare the ground for what should naturally happen in these instances - sell or JV. A unified ENSA can do this more easily.
Of course this is the wish of CGP, they have made absolutely no bones about it...in that a sale will relieve them of the requirement to pay 15% of production costs (post FS). A saving of atleast $450 million!!!
But if a unified ENSA makes life easy for the circling predator........I am definitely all for it.
Bring it on.
Sell Cascabell and move the feck on!
Z
Quady - as time passes, I genuinely fear for your sanity, my friend.
Irrespective of who or what "otherncopper" is, the CGP chat forum shows WI saying these things.
What exactly is it you don't believe?
Z
It struck me that he was simply stating the truth. Indeed, the company itself has said it intends to engage with the main shareholders in a far more positive manner than has been the case hitherto.
I dont think there is anything new in those comments. Cgp have openly wanted a sale since day 1 and they won't cooperate unless it's a sale as that's in their best interest.
Have to remember he's talking from a cgp view and not solg.... so his prize could be very different for solg. Even a fire sale is in is in best interests of cgp to keep them going... but is not in solgs interest.
I'm going to watch how cgp behave over the next 6 months or so. If they become cooperative then I suspect a sale is coming.... if they become hostile then an alternative outcome is more likely. If solg is sold outright then it's messy but no idea where that leaves cgp.
Q are you mental?
I have absolutely no idea who Orthern is . Along with Z they dug up some interesting stuff last night and rather than discussing it, and accepting there may be something to it you chose to get sloshed and post more rubbish. You are now unfiltered as it seems you are obsessed with me and can’t stop making false statements, bit weird really .... do you have lots of cats?
The most telling comment from Irwin was
“ The prize for fixing things up here with new management is quite large”
Don’t think he was talking about production somehow.
Zoros what are you on about, this link is chatroom stuff, it's rubbish.
If you want to know who this poster is, then look at the history of his posts, write down what he has said at what time, and then go back and look at DBW's posts and take a note of his times and see how they bounce off each other, trying to draw me into an argument. This is DBW's friend, and I refuse to disrupt this chatroom more than is needed.
It's OK...got it..thanks.
This is very interesting indeed.
Tells me this:
Friction between CGP and Solg could be resolved now that NM is out of the frame.
There is interest in a sale (juniors don't build mines like this) by 'others'.
CGP happy to co-operate with the new CEO to make ENSA a 'whole' and not splintered, which makes it easier to sell.
CGP have given something up in return for the BoD @ Solg removing the main obstacle for selling the company.
Ecuadorian elections could well be the catalyst for some serious negotiations with interested parties over the sale of Cascabel (only) and ENSA as a whole.
Quady - this has certainly spooked you - eh?
Food for thought at the very least....................
Good spot Othern.

Irwin posts on that board under Bdminefinder.
Ortherncopper - would u be kind enough to post the link plz?
Z
Quady I am not goading anyone. I am not interested in having petty online arguments with you. I just posted what I thought some may find usefull or worth a mention
Orthencopper, I know who you are, trying to goad me. your fooling no one.
Certainly sounding more cooperative Than when NM was steering his canoe.... and very clear about the sale of asset direction he sees In the future.
Positive
Always interesting to hear his thoughts given his track record and links..
“Surprising how Freeport Copper is up 7 times and over the same period SolGold has been crushed. The prize for fixing things up here with new management is quite large. Hope the April 11th elections go well for the Ecuadorian people.“
And When asked What he thought fixing things meant to him
“I would say the best outcome for Cornerstone shareholders would be to work with SolGold to settle the differences and work cooperatively with the new CEO to maximize the price we would get on a sale to a third party. Juniors don't build big mines like this.“
Taken from an exchange over on the CEO board.
