Addicknt, I value your opinion as always. My guess, however, is that BHP would have had some informal discussions with Nick M about a takeover price over the last year or so. Even if BHP did not raise it, I would expect that NM would have made it clear that he had a bottom line or that he would keep on proving up the resource and heading to production. I admit this is just a guess. But from what I have heard of Nick's personality, he is not a shrinking violet and I can't see him not having made his expectations known at some level
I had a similar problem whereby the shares I had were no longer listed here but were on asx. I managed to sell them through IG. There was a transfer form I had to complete and send off initially but took a couple of weeks from start to finish
Optimus, there's no way of knowing whether BHP have had any discussions yet, my suspicion is not - but that's just a guess.
As I guess you know, my view is that this will fall to BHP, but the point I was making in my original post is that I feel greater shareholder value could be accrued by the "prove it and flog it" model, although I recognise the difficulty with achieving this.
In any event, this has, so far, been a great week. Fortunately, the delayed PFS came as a surprise to no one and the price did not react in the way some people thought it might . This was followed by tremendous news and an interview with NM that didn't sound as if he was bored rigid and on the point of narcolepsy. For what it's worth, I think someone had leaked the news about Porvenir and hence the sp held up well. (good tactics)
Yesterday's volume was up considerably on the last many months. Today's volume is looking promising
I went through the Halifax and they offer no advise, I think I will need a Broker to Resolve.
Good post by Copperpot and Addicknt (and Quady). I agree with Copper that NM would want to see this go to production if his energy lasts that long. I think there would be a big money and a long wait in going to production. This is subject to one proviso; that it gets too much for BHP or another major or majors and they make an offer he can't refuse. I assume that BHP has already talked numbers with Nick for a takeover and they are not high enough. Until the number is high enough or a great offer comes in, he will keep going. With yesterday's RNS he has a serious basis to take this forward and no major can dismiss his claims that he is sitting upon potentially a number of Tier 1 resources. I think the share price will climb. It is just a question of how quickly and a question of us being patient.
Thanks Quady and pinotnoir for the links, I will explore and hopefully find my mountain of cash...... I am invested in SolGold as well and find it really interesting in what you guys post, fingers crossed.
Hi Pedro, I would phone your own broker and they will be able to advise where you stand with your shares :)
Things are looking greta have pink 9(false teeth) feldspar now......lol
Mining Minster was very positive in last nights 2 Hour conference.

Nice post this morning Copperpot, in response to addicknt.
I see both points of view, but tend to agree with yours being the most likely outcome.
For what it's worth, I believe more people on this site, are starting to believe that the only way to unlock true value for this share, is to take it too production.
However a considered post, which I felt summed up the argument.
Hi guy's, thanks for the link. All's good here thanks pinot. I hope all is good with youself! Things are starting to get exciting again now! We should get some nice shiny pictures in a couple of weeks or so. Im just hoping our ailments dont return with them ;-)

Quady I looked at Solg's price on TSX yesterday shortly after their open and it was only up by a couple of percent, while the London price was up about 13% at that point. I don't really understand how they mismatch so much.
Guessing Porvenir. NM knows his business and he's excited.
How on earth did autocorrect change Pedro to Petrol. You have my apology.
Good morning Petrol, Black Mountain resources, are indeed Hip, there ticker is ORA7. I am unsure what the status of the takeover was. But I believe they are quoted on the Australian stock exchange. (ASX)
I have not used this link, but this may help find your shares. Good luck.

Lovely iceberg. That calms the mind.
Hi,
I know there are some very knowledgeable people on this board and wondered if anyone could anyone help me please? About 6 years ago I bought a quantity of shares in Black Mountain resources and Savanah resources . I think someone called Peter Landou got involved in Black mountain and the share price went south.
Since then I believe they have been taken over by Hip or Hipo , are my shares still trading in Australia and are they worth anything and what can I do with them.
If someone could please inform me it would be of great help.
Morning Miagi and Grim. You seem to be correct. Just an observation, I have noticed, that when Solgold price is doing well, TSX is usually ahead of us. Just TSX closed, below us, so felt, we may lose a little ground. However it does look like sentiment is still with us. All the best guys.
Quady, our TSX price is almost always out of kilter with the main listing. It's entirely possible that we'll test 30p again today, but then again it's quite possible that we won't. It already had a stern test yesterday and found heavy buying.
TSX price has seldom been a good indicator of what happens here Quady.
